Haven't watched the whole video yet, but maybe you could think about inserting some 10mm 1 mm wall steel tube into the new QCTP to compensate for the smaller screw
Its something should be considered to use this qctp in such a small lathe. For now that huge gap allows me to easily adjust it for some work. But one of my next project will be a screw for especially hold this qctp precisely in place.
Hi. I left a comment on your other video about aluminum inserts. Try it sometime. It greatly increases the amount of material removed per pass, in addition to providing a better finish. On my channel, there is a video where I compare the two inserts and the HSS bits. You won't regret it. NOTE: For this insert, I was able to increase the durability by adjusting the tool 0.1mm to 0.3mm below the center line.
I will look for it to buy in the future.For now i can remove 0.2 mm for starting and than drop to 0.1 mm. This tools are good for now but it look like i will need better ones in the future for time saving. I will surely check your channel soon. Thank you for your comments :)

ı bought it through Amazon but it comes from china. You can search for 250-000 on amazon you will see this qctp it is very common.
