In 2018, David Gordon Green’s Halloween, starring icon Jamie Lee Curtis, killed at the box office, earning more than $250 million worldwide, becoming the highest-grossing chapter in the four-decade franchise and setting a new record for the biggest opening weekend in history for a horror film starring a woman.
And the Halloween night when Michael Myers returned isn’t over yet. Minutes after Laurie Strode (Curtis), her daughter Karen (Judy Greer) and granddaughter Allyson (Andi Matichak) left masked monster Michael Myers caged and burning in Laurie’s basement, Laurie is rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, believing she finally killed her lifelong tormentor.
But when Michael manages to free himself from Laurie’s trap, his ritual bloodbath resumes. As Laurie fights her pain and prepares to defend herself against him, she inspires all of Haddonfield to rise up against their unstoppable monster.
The Strode women join a group of other survivors of Michael’s first rampage who decide to take matters into their own hands, forming a vigilante mob that sets out to hunt Michael down, once and for all. Evil dies tonight.

I grad in '85 and remember watching the original for the first time when I was 12. Michael Myers scared the hell out of me. I gotta watch this especially since Jamie Lee is back. The original music score was on point creepy and glad they have it playing in this too.
Jamie Lee Curtis has played Laurie Strode in films released in six different decades from the 1970s to the 2020's: Halloween (1978), Halloween II (1981), Halloween H20: 20 Years Later (1998), Halloween: Resurrection (2002), Halloween (2018) and Halloween Kills (2021).
I think she's got a heavy hand n the story line of them now ... and I don't like that . You are not Moustapha Akkad!!!!! He was genius and Jamie Lee thinks she got the midas touch .

This movie is technically part 3. From the original in 1978 was pt 1. And pt 2 came out 2018. And this one new one is pt 3. The other halloween movies thru the years were made by different. Companies and directors etc and story line. This latest Halloween is goin by the story line from 1978 Halloween and bringing back some the the original actors n characters from 1978. 🎃 and the mask of Michael myers 1978 was the best but for legal reasons. They had to change it a bit. Cause the 1978 mask of Michael myers is actually Captain Kirk (William shatner ) from Star Trek character. They just spray painted it white and cut the eyes bigger. So Star Trek I guess we’re not happy and can sue halloween if they used same image again. That’s why the mask now does not look same as original mask 1978 🤩

Apparently they haven’t learned to confirm the kill. If you throw a grenade you don’t need to run away. You need to confirme with your eyes open that he blew up. Then walk over to his body to make sure it’s him
Yeah. I wasn’t convinced that escaped mental patient exploded on the ground mainly out the head(gore hounds seem to bar up more over headshot gore, savini maniac anyone(brilliant). Halloween kills went overboard on many scenes. Like the drone flying mix race folk. Stabbing the man with wife watching about 8 times. Writers are stupid more than ever on this trash saga🍅

Desecrating honorable firepeople for ‘horror’ sake was more like mortal kombat x versus wood chipper 😂. I play my share of trash violent media , this was torture porn. Disappointing they would reveal in the trailer that Marion Chambers (and the people in the car with her) die. You see them alive in the car fighting Michael and then later in the trailer you see three (3) dead people with masks over their heads all wearing the same clothing as when they were alive in the car. Taking the mystery away from super fans in the trailer wasn't a great idea, marketing team. Fail.

Kind of impressive to me that these last two Halloween movies are ending up being sort of both reboots & almost remakes, but damned if it doesn't work! That despite the fact that they're completely ignoring the storylines of, what 6 or so official entries, including a few Jamie Lee participated in!
