Every MONDAY MORNING (On Luka Nation Network YT Channel): I release a summary video of the top 100 highest selling basketball cards from the PWCC Weekly Auction that ended the night before.
Every other FRIDAY afternoon I publish a new Episode of EXPLORE THE CARD which is a highly detailed analysis of a single Michael Jordan insert or parallel card from the 1980s or 1990s including detailed pictures, population history, pricing, availability, and comparable cards. This is a must watch for any true Michael Jordan card collector.

All of the slabbed cards I personally own that you see in these videos are in my PWCC Vault in Tigard, Oregon. I chose to store these cards in my PWCC Vault to lower costs, insure them, protect them and eliminate the concern of damage resulting from fire, flood, humidity, theft or Cajun Alligator attacks down here in Louisiana. I do not hold any of my Graded Cards in my personal possession or in my home.

I think PSA 10's have become way too expensive for a lot of collectors so there is a run to the 7's and 8's.

Why is the 1989 nutrasweet equal jordan card so hard to find in high grade? Seems like they never come to market.

For a civil servant like myself, I'm quite happy picking up PSA 7/8 Jordan's. I was the buyer of one of those PSA8 Star Powers. Also picked up a 97 UD Records Collection PSA8. Very condition sensitive with an all around black border.
Two great pickups there in any grade.

Why don’t collectors push Tiger Woods cards he’s a goat, making history in golf, but no exposure should be very collectible
PSA 8's are the play. I have psa 8s that would prob regrade 9 or 10. I'm happy collecting nm-mt cards when most cards pulled from 80s / early 90s wont even grade an 8. my 86 fleer is an 9 my o pee chee gretzky is an 8. my psa 8 gretzky is better looking than a lot 9s ive seen. not all 8s are the same. buy 8s

Looks like this trend is only for PSA 8s for most part, perhaps some PSA 9s for more rare cards. The 10s and BGS 9.5s have been rocked lately!
Some 10s have and some haven’t. Some have found the floor because I’m losing auctions for them!!!

That’s what’s fun about MJ cards, even some of the tiny high pop cards in non-10 grade feel good and look great!

It’s not only the PSA 8, I have tried to pick up some of his high end items and almost all have double in price. So what is going on?

No one heavy into psa 10a unless they are rich why pay 4x the price for a number grade 10 instead of 9 I’ll skip the 500 $ psa 10 and take the 125 psa 9 please and thanks lol
i wanna get into PSA Cards like 1st edition OG Pokemon Cards and MJ Cards but idk if they are really worth it tho ofc i see them as a hobby first but are they also a good investment over the years? bc PSA 9s cost a lot of money tho
It's not just PSA 8 MJ. September thru November I could buy any kd's since December I have not been able to win any on eBay at the previous compse
Probably his 60th B-day coupled with is large donation. He's getting some recent media attention
IMO this is the start of the tsunami of new MJ collectors into the hobby. I created a timeline to what I predict will be an gradual appreciation in most if not all of of his cards:
04/05: Air movie premiere.
02/17: 60th birthday celebrated by making the largest donation ($10M) to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
02/09: Air movie trailer released (Ben Afflect, Jason Batement, Matthew Matt Damon, Chris Tucker). The UA-cam trailer has 6.1 million views so far.
02/03: Programming and content dedicated to “His Airness” across ESPN and ACCN studio to show four classic North Carolina men’s basketball games
It could all be to heighten the emotional response to if/ when he passes or a fake d3ath sometime this year in 2023.

how about just ignore reporting percentage movements - doesn't matter - actual dollars might matter, maybe, particularly because it's all based on microscopic volume for any card at any grade and you can even pick the time period - $20 price movement represents a 5%, 10%, 20% or 1% movement - in the end, $20 price movement doesn't matter one way or the other - maybe 1 card sale is higher with shipping included and another is lower with shipping excluded - and the price of shipping was $10 - making up numbers here obviously - and none of this data represents unreported sales not on a public forum - dollar movements matter on cards; percentages not so much - unless 100 of the same card or more move at a price point in one day, let's just skip the percentages - because in the end the discussion concerns high POP cards anyway - sorry for the rant - I own zero Jordan cards post 1986-87; I just love watching the content - so I gave it a thumbs up
