  • Welcome to Krka National Park, home to the stunning Skradinski Buk waterfalls. Located in Croatia, this natural wonder is one of the most beautiful sights in the country. Skradinski Buk is the longest waterfall on the Krka River, featuring a series of cascades spread over 17 steps with a total height difference of 45 meters. The water flows over limestone formations, creating a mesmerizing display of clear, turquoise pools and rushing streams. In the upper part of the cascades, there are small lakes, little streams, and islets with verdant vegetation, while the lower part has high barriers, which continuously evolve, creating new ridges, caves, and overhangs.
There are several entries to the park. We recommend to take a boat from Skradin entrance which will get you right to the waterfalls via the river with breathtaking views. However, the easiest way to get to the park is from the Lozovac entrance if you travel by car, as there is plenty of parking space there. You can explore the park through well-maintained wooden walkway that offer breathtaking views of the falls and the surrounding lush greenery.
Finish your walk on the main bridge that has the best view of the waterfalls.
The park is also home to diverse wildlife, including many bird species, making it a paradise for nature lovers and photographers.
You can visit the historical water mills, which have been converted into museums showcasing traditional crafts and the history of the region.
On your way back, visit the remains of the first Croatian hydroelectric power plant - “Jaruga”, which was the second hydroelectric plant in the entire world.
The park gets extremely crowded during July and August, so the best time to visit is in May/June and September/October.
Come and immerse yourself in the beauty and tranquillity of Skradinski Buk, and discover why it's one of Croatia's most cherished natural treasures.
Make sure to visit other parts of Krka national park - Roški slap waterfall, Visovac and Krka Monasteries.
