Omis, Fortress Mirabela - Croatia Beautiful Places

The Omiš Old Town fortresses is the Mirabella, reached by a zigzagging path that begins behind Omiš parish church. Considered the symbol of the town, this fortress was built in the 13th century. It may come as no surprise to learn that the pirates of Omiš used this fortress as a lookout over the sea and a hideout.
