When mum says op is "tearing the family apart." What she really means is that everyone is turning on each other because the Op is no longer their scapegoat.
I've read stories where the losers set fires to the house or flood the house or put all the contents out for the trash man. The idea of working and saving for their own house instead of denying the scapegoat the house they worked for makes their heads explode.
Sister:" how do we get our sister to understand it was just a prank?" Brother:"Lets go tk her house multiple times bannging on the door and egg her car." Are we sure these siblings are adults?
When I was a kid, when Mom got home from work, the first thing she did was go to the kitchen sink for a drink of water. So one day I put a rubber band around the sprayer hose. When Mom turned on the tap, she got sprayed. She jumped back, then had to walk back into the spray to shut the tap off. THAT was a prank. What OP's family did was sadism.
@MarkStockman-b4j okay...so...when your mom just got done with work. Probably tired and whatnot. Likely having to adult as soon as she gets home. So she goes for her wind down with her glass of water. And your prank left her wet not only once when it started. But then she had to get more wet to fix it. Call me a party pooper but this isn't a good prank. Yeah it's just a bit of water. And a mild inconvenience overall. The other half of my original statment is "confuse don't abuse". Now. Not saying it was abuse. But after the first sudden shock of getting wet she now has to fix it. Sure, probably water under the bridge now and maybe she can laugh at it. After all I'm not going to say she can't have found it funny. After all, know your crowd. Just a gamble is all I'm going to say.
OP needs to press charges over the "forged" document from the title company saying she didn't really own the home. If it was a good enough forgery for OP to believe it was real, that is a serious issue. The police need to be involved with this--and when they are arrested and the cuffs clicked on, OP should say "Hey, it's only a joke....lighten up!"😊
Story 1, her siblings treating everything and making it as a prank just proves they are nothing but immature. Imagine, two grown adults playing pranks on another, especially when the person made it clear that they are not laughing and that they should stop. But instead, they chose to escalate their "pranks". 🙄
Story 1: so, mom is crying? And was is op supposed to do with that? Film her and laugh? Upload the video on facebook? Maybe tell her its a “go no contact with your family” prank, and that she should gonna laugh at it in a few years, no big deal? Lol, those are the kind of people who will dish out such sentences and excuses for others, but once you turn it on them its absolutely “rude” and “unfair”.

Lol, those are the kind of people who will dish out such sentences and excuses for others, but once you turn it on them its absolutely “rude” and “unfair”. Story 2: Dan blamed what he wore for her traumatic event, that tells us that he is the kind of person that would justify behaving inappropriately to you if you wear something he considers “slxtty”. So, what guarantees Dan won’t try anything if you accidentally wear something he considers a green light to groping? What if you wear a knee length skirt and to him a skirt is enough to grope? What if giving a compliment will be enough for him to force you? If someone in my friend group or family said that, i would warn my siblings, cousins and everyone with children.
Respectfully i get the house thing being the final straw but, for me it be ruining clothes for a job interview. Prank or not they ruined op's clothes intentionally knowing they had an important job interview
Bingo! Went through that most of my life and was told "oh that's just how they are." Aka deal with it. They went through it a few months after the family scapegoat said enough and it's "omg they have a mental problem. This sort of behavior isn't normal!"
S1: this is an interesting dilemma. On the one hand op should have been skeptical based on her siblings past history, and questioned why they had this document instead of the bank sending it to her directly. On the other hand op also said she doesn’t like pranks, and based on her previous reactions to pranks her siblings should have realized this and stopped some time ago
Story 1: I have zero tolerance for pranks, but I don’t see why OP was upset over this one. It was just stupid- not harmful. She sounds exhausting. Story 2: Another exhausting OP, looking for something to argue about. I’m not even surprised that her ex was cheating. Who wants to come home to that?
I guess I don’t understand the first story, because I don’t understand why they believed it to begin with. It makes absolutely no sense that the siblings who they got done saying have been “pranksters” their entire life would have that paperwork instead of OP. Like why would they know? And then again if they’ve always been prankster why did OP believe them? Why isn’t the knee-jerk response to be skeptical of their claims? I am somebody who hates pranks . I don’t like pranksters. I have always said it’s obnoxious behavior. So it’s really weird for me to hear this story and be annoyed with the victim . Because this was such a lame prank and such an over-the-top emotional response that I lose sympathy OP. And I’m not gonna lie I literally sit here and think to myself . “ God I hope this family doesn’t breed anymore.”
1)NTA your mother could have stopped this and keep the peace but instead she laughed at you, and the fact thats she thinks that youre "tearing the family apart." shes only saying this becuase on each other since the Op is no longer their scapegoat, and she doesnt want to deal with the mess and just use OP for their self greed 2)NTA your boyfrined hid your affair for 5 months, he should have told you and then he cheated on you? and when youre going through a rough patch, and him not being there for you is another red flag 3)NTA this is why no one likes the police they assaulted you, threw you in jail and didnt let you take your meds sue them and exposed them theyre monster s
S3: If the link that Cavey001 shared in the comments is S3 OP, that's all on her. She was told to go around. She had OPTIONS and was told multiple times she couldn't go there. I've been in a situation like this, I was nearly detained but apologized to the officer and he said no hard feelings. OP sounds like she couldn't apologize and say she had to come in late or something similar. It sounds like a situation where she put herself in that position.
I could cut OP some slack if they cried when they thought the letter was real but it does make them seem sensitive that they cried after they realized it was a joke. They could be annoyed, they could find it very unfunny, but crying is wild. Siblings are still cunts though for blasting it on social media among other things.
Op is a bit sensitive, it was a stupid prank but it wasn't a viable prank, if op thought about it she should have known they couldn't take her home away from her, but she should cut contact from her family because of their other antics
I wouldn't call it a prank. Pranks are supposed to be funny jokes, And it's only a joke if the person being pranked is also laughing (at the time of the prank)
How is Op a bit sensitive? pranks are supposed to be funny, handing someone an envelope as a surprise under the guise that it's meant to help with the house, when it contains a legal notice that looks realistic informing the homeowner that the house they just bought has been cancelled because of a clerical error and is being sold to someone else, then when the person is shocked and everyone else is laughing shouting gotcha isn't funny
I'm sorry but you're heartless. You're not in their shoes, so how would you know she's bring sensitive about the situation? Imagine someone turned what was supposed to be the happiest day of your life into a 'joke' for a stupid prank???? She's sensitive but the stupid people that pulled the prank are fucking immature at their big age
When mum says op is "tearing the family apart." What she really means is that everyone is turning on each other because the Op is no longer their scapegoat.
Story 1: boy I’m glad this was a prank, cause I’d be even _more_ outraged if they’d ACTUALLY sabotaged her house purchase.
i would give this a thumbs up, but it's at 69 so....

Brother:"Lets go tk her house multiple times bannging on the door and egg her car."
Are we sure these siblings are adults?
They're dumbasses and so are her donors. Those who sided with them have no backbone and prefer keeping the peace as enablers and people pleasers.
💯👍🏿
S1: let me be clear.
A prank is only okay if the victim is laughing

@@austinfowler2707my mum would literally whipped me. Ik I just can't stand pranks because it's humiliating.
The alkaline in eggs destroys car paint, which is why the police took it seriously. OP should have pressed charges.

Story 1: OP did the right thing to cut contact with her family, i bet her siblings wouldn't laugh if their "pranks" were made to them instead.
That's the issue now. One of them is going to be on the chopping block and they want OP back to avoid that.
The first story OP should tell their family that cutting contact is just a prank.
Egging someone’s car is more serious than it seems. The paint job would be destroyed by the egg
And it would just be annoying imagine waking up driving to work just to see your car is dirty and getting late to work
@ Oh it’d be very annoying and you wouldn’t be cleaning that off, egg eats through paint the longer it’s there
Story 1: This was the proverbial last straw; your mother and other family members are the biggest enablers! OPs siblings are the biggest bullies!

Imagine, two grown adults playing pranks on another, especially when the person made it clear that they are not laughing and that they should stop. I hate these "pranks". Like those 'I cheated' or 'I want to break up' you basically want to watch your loved one suffer
These people are adults? They're allowed to vote?
I know, right?
Worse yet, they are allowed to reproduce. Our society has managed to shift evolution into reverse.
These people can vote, join the army, drive.
Boy, Humanity is as unpredictable as we are various

story 1: that family's immaturity leaps no bounds....time to really go no contact....sue for harassment....
Story 2: Fiancé is a coward!

Story 2 fiance is a coward and is probably cheating. Anyone that could sit by and watch someone cheat can't be a reliable partner.
He cheated for a year
Story 2: Go no contact with your mother and your fiancé!
Respectfully i get the house thing being the final straw but, for me it be ruining clothes for a job interview. Prank or not they ruined op's clothes intentionally knowing they had an important job interview
Freaking destroyed them life’s for hurt and destroying yours
S1 They don't miss op, they miss their victim. Now they have to decide on who is the new one
S1. I would now text the sibs Gotcha, and throw their own excuses at them when they claim abuse.
Good one. Nice pfp btw
S3: This must be the girl arrested in the video: ua-cam.com/video/nZkErOkQN0M/v-deo.htmlsi=oF-FXaVuOERLgtaZ
What's her name?
S2
Jeez the mom is awful but the bf
What a coward
The relatives in story 1 just want OP around because they know that they will probably be the next scapegoat with OP gone.
Bingo!
Went through that most of my life and was told "oh that's just how they are." Aka deal with it. They went through it a few months after the family scapegoat said enough and it's "omg they have a mental problem. This sort of behavior isn't normal!"
A prank is not funny if it brings physical and spiritual harm to another person.
Day 158 of telling secretvoices to have a good day. Also happy new year!
Day 158 of telling you to have a great day. Same to you

Stupid pranks. Whosoever did these are truly have brain related problems.
I hate pranks

i dont know why but there is something so annoying about op in the 3story
After seeing the video link that’s been posted here, and if that person is actually her, then yea she definitely writes like what she sounds on video

I follow this story and its bad
Which one? And how bad is it?

Also, like this could be the prank that made everything else break down, given that they've been pulling this shit since childhood
@Intrepid_A your realtor would have contacted you first before anything like that could have happened, use your commend sense you'd known that
I'm sorry but you're heartless. You're not in their shoes, so how would you know she's bring sensitive about the situation?
