@nataliereeves3594 there's a whole subreddit where cheaters (and ppl who are the "other") gather and encourage each other. They cheer when they manage to destroy a family It's so filthy man. They have no care whatsoever for the pain they cause.
Right now with maternal death rates going up randomly being a surrogate for entitled people is an extreme no. Also kooky miss perfect will be a horrible mother.
Story 1: Mum and Nicky literally effed around and found out the very hard way! Then both have the audacity to accuse OP of being cruel? As they say in Black Books "You are projecting!" "I am not projecting!" "I've never seen such projection. It's in Cinema Scope with Dolby Surround!"
If story 2 isn’t fake, the entire situation could be resolved with a call to any decent fertility doctor. A surrogate should be someone who has already carried a child or children to term with uncomplicated pregnancies and has a proven pelvis. Not a primigravida. Just because she is “young and healthy” doesn’t mean she won’t develop gestational diabetes, or preeclampsia, and we don’t know if she has other internal issues that would prevent her from carrying. You don’t just blindly choose anyone with a uterus to be a surrogate.
S2: what a weak father. All he wants to do is keep the status quo when OP needs him to step up and put an end to this bull. He just wants everyone to get along. What a puss.
Ladies and gentlemen, they and them or whatever you identify as..... When someone threatens to off themselves, say nothing , and call the 🚔 and advise them that the person is threatening to off themselves. Remove yourself from the situation and let the pros handle it. It's not your problem.
1)NTA the fact that they both betrayed you then both has the audacity to not only double down but already insult you by belittling you? also its not your fault that she decided to end herself, she didnt lose anything only your friendship which she broke, by sleeping with your BF, also the fact that her sister is supporting her means either she is as worse as her or that she didnt tell the whole truth. also the whole "self termination" tactic is a emotional manipulation, how bad is the damage maybe she is trying to guilt you into being friends with her again. Your mom really should not have tried to talk to you, not only she was in the wrong for supporting the AP and that she has cheated multiple times, even believing that she needs forgiveness, then constantly broke your boundaries but tricking you into meet vicky again, only because she sees herself in nicky, a cheater who takes no responsibility and wants you to forgive as a way for her to remove the lingering guilt that she refuses to acknowledges. She doesnt even care about nicky 2) NTA SIL even your brother is crazy, including both sets of parents for letting this happen, having a surrogate is for people who have medical condition where they physically cant have or genetic condition that they dont want to pass on. not for the reasons that it will "ruin their body" thats like telling a boxer that you want someone else to fight for you because it will "ruin your body" or to your mother saying that it will ruin her body? how are her parents okay with that type of answer? do they know? She literally said that she doesn't want to go through the pain and sees OP as lesser than her. OP needs to cut everyone off, including her parents theyre not helping at all. OP should have report SIL the second she tried to steal anything
Story 2: Your parents being embarrassed about being caught in the middle is one thing. But the rest of the family have no concept of consent. Like all narcissists, they believe it’s only a courtesy to say no, not a clear boundary. And of course they won’t adopt because god forbid they risk egg on their face when they compromise.
Nah because it seems such an odd double standard. No one would bat an eye over that if it was her sister asking her. Same fetus, same % of shared DNA but somehow it's "disturbing" because of who the sibling is.
2nd story: As far as I know, in the US, only women who have had children before are allowed to be surrogates. OP is disqualified due to that criteria itself. I don't know about rules in other places. Some countries have banned surrogacy while some have very very strict conditions for someone to be a surrogate.
You are mostly correct. In the U.S. and in most of the world, the surrogate must have given birth before and carried a healthy child to term. First, it goes to "consent", as someone who has not been through pregnancy does not have the foundational experience to know what they're getting into. That's fine in a relationship where both partners are on board, but when you introduce medical professionals, there is a matter of liability for the doctor as well, and if they allowed someone who had not met that criteria to be inseminated under their care, they would absolutely be dropped by their malpractice insurance, and would quite possibly lose their license. There are exceptions to this rule, but they are extremely rare and only occur under very specific circumstances, which this OP does not meet. Secondly, there are no reputable doctors who would allow surrogacy for the sake of vanity alone. There needs to be an underlying medical barrier to conception. There have been cases of people basically hiring poor, desperate (often homeless) women to carry a child for them. From there, it segways very rapidly into things like human trafficking. Is it OK because mom doesn't want to lose her figure? What about if she just doesn't want to quit drinking or doing drugs during pregnancy? Is the surrogate actually consenting or being coerced? Many illegal immigrants have been exploited this way (usually from China, India, and Central America). They're promised citizenship (which is not granted when a child is not raised by the mother). So they are not "Anchor Babies". Often the mother was used then not paid or thrown out on the streets, because the parents know the surrogate has no legal recourse to fight it. It really does lead to human trafficking. There are still doctors who will do the procedure. If you know of one, report them. They will lose their medical license if the allegations are confirmed. That's the other troublesome aspect of those cases. Often the procedure is done outside of the country by less reputable doctors. Venezuela is a nice enough place, but people in the U.S. and most of Western Europe will not fare well there, lol.
Story 2: I cannot stand people like the parents in this story. "We support you. We just want everyone to get along.", are the words of spineless cowards who stand by and let horrible people do horrible things all in the name of "Maintaining the peace." What they want isn't peace, it's calm. As long as no one is making waves their happy and they don't care what anyone else has to sacrifice to obtain that calm so long as it happens quickly.
*STORY 1:* Egg donor didn't care about her daughter, she wanted OP to forgive Nicky to validate her belief that her ex should have forgiven her to hold it over his head. Mom, Nicky, and Tammy are all selfish, self-centered people. When you you realize that about people, the smartest thing to do is to either limit or cut contact entirely with people like that. They will never truly value you.
Listening to these stories makes it abundantly clear that too few have taken the time to absorb the profound wisdom captured within the world of Firefly/Serenity. Captain Malcolm Reynolds said it best with "why are we still talking about something that's already been decided?"
Assuming s2 is in the usa, $30k isn't enough to cover half the medical bills of a pregnancy. Me? My price would have been a front page article of the local favourite newspaper in every major City in the country explained their daughter is trying to coerce op into being her surrogate, as well as naming their daughter with her full legal and giving her vain reasons as to why she wont carry to term herself. Notarise a contract and add a clause that they can't retract the articles or sue op. My price isn't money, but sil's reputation.
Story 2: not saying OP should do this, but there are some immediate disqualifications for surrogates depending on the clinic. Not all places would have these as DQs, but most would. Income/Housing Instability, No Prior Pregnancies AND Births, Smoking/Alcholism, Unhealthy Lifestyles, Antidepressants, Some Govt. Programs (depending), elevated BMI. Of course if none of those are applicable to you, you can simply say "I am being pressured into this" or something similar, and the Doctor will immediately stop everything and may even put the couple on a list to not serve them. I know that OP probably won't see this, but if this comment helps someone else out there in a situation like OP's, it's enough.
wait i heard this alreasy didnt OP has a timed message to veryone and exposed BFF and BF? then the mum tried to acted OP in OP's aunts house but her cousin was there too?
2nd story, bluntly, if you want a brood mare, you find a proven mare who has foaled healthy foals. I realize sil wants her hubbies family genetic material, but a woman who hasn't had children doesn't know how pregnancy will likely affect her health, physically and mentally. PPD happens, and then, dear sil, you will have a basket case who knows where you live and might want to keep or retrieve her baby
This is an incredibly heavy situation, and it's important to approach it with compassion and understanding for everyone involved. Self-harm is a serious issue that requires attention and support, regardless of the circumstances surrounding it. While betrayal and trust-breaking can deeply hurt, it's crucial to separate those feelings from addressing someone's mental health crisis. I hope OP can find a way to process their emotions while also encouraging their friend to seek professional help. Both parties deserve the chance to heal and grow from this. Let's strive for kindness and empathy in these tough situations.
Cruel as her father? When the mom was the multiple cheater during the marriage. Crazy, cheaters just make shit up.
Cheaters always stick up for cheaters.

3:40 “Did not intentionally hurt her” slept with her bf lol. People are stupid
And can't even use the "one time mistake" card because they were caught red-handed planning a date night.
Right now with maternal death rates going up randomly being a surrogate for entitled people is an extreme no. Also kooky miss perfect will be a horrible mother.
Op had to say in the Restaurant that you have don't have to forgive a homewrecker and if she died i don't care .

S1: mother saying "I hope you're not as cruel as your father" but ripping father's heart out by cheating wasn't cruel..SMH!

Based take
Not just the father, the mother too.
2nd story: I'd remind everyone at the family meeting that sixty year old women have successfully given birth and ask why neither was offering.

Is no one gonna talk about how the brother in story 2 wants his wn sister to carry his child as a surrogate? Thats disturbing in so many ways
Maybe he watched too much Friends

Yes and No. It's a very fine line. Usually you do it for family or friends but if you want to help random strangers than theres more to it.

Cheaters of a feather flap together
Story 1: Reasonable response. Story 2: Get a lawyer and cut contact. That’s straight up not right.
