Has slightly less max range than my current car but looks a lot better. Range is not an issue for me since I usually drive less than 100 miles a day and can charge wherever. This is going to be awesome when I finally get one.
If you were to go to your cottage in the woods, is there a battery pack you can bring with you to charge over night? Or maybe if you're driving far and no charging station nearby then can you have a battery pack with you?
MadMaxJuggernaut I wouldnt take a normal sedan to the woods. Much less a tesla. But you can charge it from car batteries. And if the cabin has any form of electricity then you're good too. Otherwise just rent out an suv for the weekend/day...

No he's not. You haven't read his biography if you think he's humble. He's a guy with huge ego in his biography. He also fires employees easily if they aren't really smart. He isn't the "I feel you" type. He has marriage issues and stuffs. I can't tell if he changed because I haven't finished reading the book. The S60 was released in 2010. In 2010 the car was very safe indeed but safety rules by for example euro NCAP change and get alot harder for car manufacturers to get the 5 star rating. The S90 is a completely new car, scored 5 stars in 2016 and shows Volvos latest safety standard. The time has'nt been standing still at Volvo themselves.
Before I commit I will wait for real world reports about customer care, to me this is critical as the moment of buying passes in a flash & what matters from then on is how the service center deal with their car owners. Go into any car dealership of any make and there are any number of sales people, but rarely more than one on the service desk (often overworked) The media of the years has been awash with dealers service centers being less than truthful & on occasion being deliberately obtuse (yes been there) I did chuckle when he said about the charging places being tripled as this was just after (or was it before) he spoke about the ramp up in production so no change there then ? Having said that all the charging stations that I have seen to date, the Tesla ones were smarter/cleaner and often unoccupied. For sure on paper it looks to be a no brainer so lets hope owners feedback about long term ownership & dealer experiences make it an "actual" no brainer.

They are Tesla employees. The idea is that if they have any quality control issues the employees can just bring the cars in and have the problems immediately noted and fixed while they are at work.
