Same. Grinding with the SVD, got it to 2 shot kill anywhere on the body but there are times where it's not registering hits so instant death or run. I might as well switch to sniping altho I like the marksman guns better.
Dude, I went crazy last night, 9 win streak hit reg amazing. I hope on today after work and it's dog right off the bat. I made it to a 10 win streak but lost after and I have yet to experience a bad hit reg until today with this game. It's crazy, 2 steps forward one step back.

The Netcode is actually worse on Xbox since the update. It’s drastically worse, almost unplayable some matches.
Completely agree bar the first match after that two bullets to die 200hundred to kill

Idk, I've ran into a bit more netcode issues since S1, but honestly that appears to simply happen because the servers had a surge of new/returning players or whatever. It still needs a lot of work, but it's not like the past few CoDs felt that much better in regards to netcode. Hell, I've played more Xdef already than the multiplayer of CoD of the past few entries. Despite its issues. For a few CoD-like game it's pretty damn nice, outside of a few big bugs and netcode issues.
As a programmer, I will let you know right now it's probably a multitude of things from:
- mismanagement when switching to a brand new slate
- new engine so coding everything from scratch (even if they borrow code they have to rework it)
- ubisoft not giving them the resources to have servers in more places
- the blow up of xdefiant

@@Fallen_Ninja yeah I don't think it would be the engine necessarily itself. Like at some point it does come down to how it's programmed by the devs. Not saying they are horrible at coding, it's just that networking is frustrating to do especially when it comes to programmers. Normally IT'S handle setting up servers and shit, programming it is a completely different thing especially when you need to rework code that was probably used for other games
No damage hit markers is my issue, seems worse since patch.

Not always, sometimes the other player isn't even engaged. Other times it is in a fierce 1v1. Other times they drop like it's hardcore.
Don't really notice this in CoD.
Last night was first time I truly got angry with this game. My wife thought I was playing CoD and said I should switch to xDefiant. That’s how different the experiences usually are. Last night was just a bad time. Once I calmed down and got my stick sensitivity dialed back in it was all fun and games. I’m not worried about being first or the having the most kills. I just want the game to feel better than CoD and it does that wonderfully.
me too .w. also my stick sense had to dial that down too and i was doing abit better but at the end of the days i just decided to get off because if i didnt then prolly would have broken something ;-; (also im glad you was able to calm down abit too 🔥
@@scriptxyoufurry I think once they get all the hitreg issues ironed out, there won’t be anything left to complain about. I don’t count people whining about op this or op that. You can use the same weapon or ability as they do. So it’s a level playing field.

It's wild how people expect XDefiant to feel like Call of Duty ( the good ole days ) When Call of Duty has been around since 2003. XDefiant isn't going to be feel like what the community needs until year 3. Be patient. Complaining isn't helping.
Stopped playing xdefiant now, as there isn't enough content for me personally but I'll come back in a year or so like you suggest.

Now if this was COD and I knew the game will only be out for a year, yes every second counts and I’d be complaining non stop, but this game is expected to last years. With that knowledge + amazing communication from the devs, I have a lot more patience with this game.

Being able to say that I stayed around and went through the bad days to get to the better days is far more satisfying than to just abandon the game because of issues EVERY SINGLE game has.
If they fix the net code then I won’t have that as an excuse for being terrible anymore.
Do people not realize that this is a brand new FREEEEEE TO PLAY title and the net code was made from the ground up yet don’t bat an eye to cods recycled shitty netcode year after year ???

@@JbowenDaManhonestly, a lot of UA-camrs are giving credit where credit is due and yes bringing up thing that are wrong w the game is important but Jesus saying a game is dead because they haven’t been able to make a net code to be able to handle a growing community is asinine, we give cod a hard time cause they’ve had decades to get their stuff together but XD had been extremely good at not pushing stuff out and we need to give them time, like you said it’s only been out a month it takes time to refine things

As a consumer, why should I care how they write the code or how old is it? Is see the result and it is horrible! And yes, the devs are getting their salary, so who cares if Ubisoft is giving the product for free?
As a software architect, I would say that these results from poor design decisions coupled with average to insufficient test code coverage.

These netcode/hitreg issues are so exaggerated it's insane. Yeah they could be improved, but it's not even remotely close to game-breaking.
The biggest issues right now are the ranked system and the PS5 frame rate issues.
I feel like these people are either lying or the issue is with their internet. Mark made the right choice to ask for names directly to verify these claims, because I have netcode issues once in 5-10 games.
@@micckeymol4396 agreed. At least in my personal experience it’s not as bad as everyone makes it out to be. Although I do play on PC so I can only speak for that platform, but many of my console friends don’t run into these issues as well. Yea they are still in the game, but it’s more of an annoyance that happens every so often compared to something that is completely destroying the game. If it was that bad I don’t even think the game would be relevant right now 🤣
The netcode issues are almost gamebreaking ngl, really annoying having 30 ping but being shot around corners, I thought apex had bad servers but they’re much better than xdefiant’s lmao, i get shot around corners like 1/100 times in apex, in xdefiant i kid u not i die around corners every single time. The game is fun but let’s not act like the netcode isnt a massive issue

I don't want to worry anyone here but realistically making the netcode works like we wish might take a year+ yet no guarantee it will be spot on . They guild this game from scratch it's not fifth iteration of the game
Cheaters are the biggest problem. Streamers are cheating and regular players. Fuck this game.
My grenades disappear all the time now and yesterday I spawned into a new game with no weapon. 😂
The hit reg is so bad right now that people on my screen aren't even looking or shooting at me, I'm behind them, and I die instantly when a teammate dies. It's hard to figure if it's a cheater or B's from the game. I report them but I'm half sure it's also net code issue.
Another is I tested the fps difference of 120 fps on console vs a 300 fps PC. My guy, it's day and night difference. On the PC, I jump around a corner and become visible, before it does on console.
I'm also getting shot through walls almost as much as release. And the non registration coming out of the bullets out of my guns is absurd now. It's worse than last week.
Uninstalled again, and until the hit reg isn't fixed, now I'm 100% not playing it. As I said before, it feels almost exactly the same as CoDs eomm. It's weird.
Also PC players can triple tap hop while console can barely do 2 and that's if you hit it on an exact frame. So there are a lot of people looking for exploits. At this rate, bring back bhop because a regular controller is more than not going to double hop instantly like PC or an over locked controller does. Or worse yet, a turbo mod.
I really hope XDefiant is going to become an icon in the industry, because all this coping is going to look bad in the future, otherwise :)
i was thinking about taking break from xdefiant if you play 50 ping or more game feels everything happens second of delay and its unplayable, with 25 ping server its only half second delay and its almost okay to play😬
Idk if game engine plays a role in the netcode but games that use the snowdrop engine always had weird netcode. I've played The Division 1 and 2 which uses the same engine and the problems are similar, IE; getting killed around corners, desync, getting shot by someone facing away from you, etc. its just that its more noticeable here due to Xdefiant being a dedicated PvP FPS over Division which is an RPG TPS with PvP being a small, niche add-on.
I have been dealing with dying around walls and corners seconds after I moved behind cover. it doesn't happen more frequently for me than it did at launch but its happening more extreme. launch yeah it happened more but it was pretty fast after going behind a corner. now its like shot shot shot move wait 4 secs then die its really weird. it doesn't happen as often now but when it does its worse than launch
also ima still play xdef every day even with its issues it still the best free to play game out right now.
Is it just me or did they do something with the ttk?? I just feel like i just get melted like in 1sec in a gunfight more often than before
Yeah something changed, pre season was ok but now is unplayable.
They changed nothing with the TTK. Its just the horrible netcode.
I hope they fix it asap, it's still ok for me but getting melted in a flash is not fun at all

Games still not fully ready. I noticed everything is just half a second off. Deaths, bullets, hitreg, etc is delayed. Its messing me up in other actual consistent shooters. I’ll be back if they actually fix the issue that’s been around for like 2 years now.

Un-installed last night for the previously mentioned issues. Will definitely come back when the issues are fixed. Wish list for me would be a Server Farm near the Atlanta area for a more reliable ping.

I'm lvl 120, I'm far from being a hater. I LOVE that game, I've been playing it non stop, until they dropped S1... It's almost unplayable for me right now. I feel like we are back to day 1 release. I have no intention of playing until Netcode is fixed... :(
@@sambeast13hear ya. Its got the launch style hit reg. Its common in updates to backslide on certain things when pushing a big update. We've seen call of duty become non playable. Ex. Social tab being broken for days. Crossplay off never finds a match. Remember folks, your $70 is not dependent on the game working to enjoy the money you spent

I’ve been loving the game even with some netcode issues. I just like how open and honest the devs have been, you can tell they REALLY want this game to succeed. Season 1 has been a blast so far with CTF and the new map.
Hit reg isnt thaaat bad ive noticed it mainly on snipers tho. My number 1 issue rn is that some games ill go from 80 ping then the next game im randomly at 150-200 ping the next for the entire game for absolutely no reason. I play with 2 other people that live in the same area as me and their ping is random too. Some games im at 150-200 but they r at 80. Then i have 80 ping and they have 150-200 its so odd now. Wasnt the case before season 1

I'm finding that the hitreg varies from game to game, nearly as if some games/servers get desynced by a few ms, which is why I'm getting very frustrated with the game. It feels like its out of my power or skill. Eg last night I played 4 games in succession: 1st game I went 23 and 10, and a guy on my team went 9 and 12. 2nd game he went 25 and 8, I went 13 and 15. Games 3 and 4 were basically repeats of 1 and 2 and that dude was on my team every game. The 2nd and 4th games for me felt like my bullets were not doing damage or a shot was not registering out of every 5. I asked him in game chat and he said the other 2 games for him felt like his shots weren't registering. So basically something is up with how players are individually synced to the server/lobby
The skills locking is more annoying than the netcode at this point. I don't play the healing class anymore because it seems to happen with them the most.
Noticed some really bad net code issues in the season 1 update on NA west servers but on US central servers things are more stable but I have high ping
I love xdefiant, but its almost umplayable with hitreg and netcode since the update unfortunately. 90% of games now i lose nearly every gunfight due to these issues.
The netcode and hit reg is not fina be excused by a tweet they had literally 4 fucking long ass years with 6 public betas !!!!!!! This is insane. S1 and the game is sucking worse than the pre season. Mark spends too much time on Twitter and not enough time fixing the game. The game plays and feels like a mess. Desync again is still abysmal !!!! Ubisoft lies worse than Activision
My connection was bad befor season one. It is way worse to the point i just leave games becase my ping is to high to run on the map. Im on 1.2GBs fiber internet. WTF is going on.
I hadn’t played it in a few weeks (been occupied with other stuff). Came back last night, it was pretty brutal. Im not like….amazing at FPSs, but at the same time, im not terrible. I COULD NOT win a gunfight to save my life. It felt like i was dumping 1 mag into someone, just for them to turn around, fire what felt like 2 rounds on me and kill me. Oh and not to mention me being the only one playing the obj. So ya, my team had MASSIVE kills……we still lost. Good job guys 👍

Am I alone in also wanting a more in depth stat tracker?? K/D, grenade kills, Ultimate Kills, stuck Semtex, headshots.. etc..
My biggest example of this in a different genre. Fishing planet was the only good fishing game for a long time. Then COTW the angler came in and made a huge stir. It was quite broken and had many things wrong in the beginning but now after a little over a year the game is freaking amazing. One of the best fishing games that will probably ever be released because they support their games forever basically.
They are selling a skin in the store that can be unlocked for free from a Twitch Drop.
I do get people complaining about net code as I can shoot someone for ages they two bullet me across map it’s crazy but to counter this every first game I have never feels wonky but after that first it’s horrific

The netcode issues got worse since the update. I like the game I'll continue to play it but its missing something. Maybe i'm just biased but we need S&D sooner than they intended.
my only problem with the game as of rn is the ttk man the amount of time it takes to kill one person is quite honestly ridiculous because by the time you kill that person your health is either reduced to nothing or your having to reload as your being pushed by somebody else but the amount of times i have died to somebody who shot after i shot have been countless because i could empty a full clip and they could only use half of their clip on me and i’ll be dead so i think they should definitely work on the ttk also i’ve been experiencing like this bug where i started auto sliding for no reason like i’d jump and then right after i’d jump it would automatically slide and i have a new controller so it isn’t stick drift i just think its a genuine bug but honest tg though i love this game i haven’t played cod in years so to have a shooter like this come out it feels really refreshing and new and i love it but yeah i don’t really have any other problems with the game besides those issues i ran into but yeah i’ve been enjoying this game a lot and not every game is going to be a good one but when you do have a good game it feels good.

I really want to love Xdefiant, but the gameplay doesn't feel good to me. I honestly don't know what it is I don't like about it. I keep playing hoping for something to click but it doesn't. It doesn't feel good to get kills, it also has a TTK that is not enjoyable for me. It is reminiscent of Warzone TTK, not COD multiplayer TTK.

I think Xdef have potential and seems like devs are doing a good job and communication is key.
There is some big issues like here in OCE the game send us to US,EU and Asia servers almost every Ranked game, and netcode +150 to 300 ping, well ,it's unplayable xD
But it's simple as let us choose servers, they will fix it eventually.

I genuinely think a lot of people just use the sloppy netcode as an excuse for their shit aim. I definitely get killed around walls sometimes but that was always an issue in cod since I can remember. I thought I was having issues at launch but I worked on my aim a little bit and I was immediately getting more kills just because I was aiming for centre mass more, and this was before any of the netcode patches.
Dude all you do is defend the game and then you ask “how do you guys have the balls to bash on the game?” Well how do YOU not have the balls to call the dev’s out on their BS? For example, saying Spiderbot is going to get its cooldown increased to 40 seconds in patch notes when in reality it’s still 20 seconds is complete BS and that’s ONE EXAMPLE! They say one thing and don’t stick to it! Then they claim they “fixed” something only to introduce MORE BUGS! I could go on for hours about this from all my games but it’ll only go in one ear and out the other because you’re coping hard…and the truth is, I was once on that boat too at some point , but when they literally LIE to your face about patches and create MORE bugs from their “fixes” it makes me lose trust in them. So go ahead and tell me i’m a complainer for pointing out the obvious.
the only reason this game has the hype it does is bcuz it doesnt have sbmm. if sbmm wasnt a thing in any game this game would be utterly shit and likely canned within a couple months

The only things i dislike about xdefiant is the game randomly slowing down idk if its my wifi or a server issue. When my sniper doesnt shoot when im zoomed in this doesnt happen too often so yeah thats cool. Final dislike is you cant run 2 primary weapons but i really do understand that it would prolly break the game but would love to see a gun game mode.
Thank you for understanding the snowdrop engine was made for the division which is third person mostly pve game while now they have to repurpose it unlike cod that’s been using the doom engine since the 2000’s
I don’t have any issues with hit reg and what not but I won’t lie, I as super excited to get into ranked and solo q ranked is abysmally bad. I have had a game start with a 2v4 and then was punished for it. Played about 10 games and had 0 good matches with only a few wins cause I got lucky and played some bots. Hope they fix the solo q for ranked
I still have a few netcode issues but it's not very often. Once every few games. Used to be way worse. Used to be a few times a game. No complaints here there clearly working on it

I think the only engine ive seen ubisoft use is snowdrop.

Many people suffer from bad NATs, routers, modems... and don't understand. PC players on old tiny ssd's, ancient consoles with 5 percent memory left, people storing the game on the slowest drive on taxed, polluted, unoptimized equipment.
Brand new modem. 1gig connection wired. All my drives are ssd, cpu running at 5 ghz with 32gb of ram.
All that to say it's the game and not the equipment.
Will definitely come back when they fix it. Not a hater, nor an apologist.
@larrycox6933 don't blame you then. I've had issues myself, but they seem to be party and cross platform related. I never have them in MnK lobbies, but controller cross platform is a nightmare. I think it has to do with PS myself. You prob have a better rig than I do, and it's smooth for me, had to run it on a dedicated drive, but I do that often.
@exposingthetruth3821 Tried a crossplay lobby one time as a MnK player and you're right it was terrible. Really want this game to succeed , it appears the US East Coast servers are literally in Coastal cities. That may part of the issue, I live in NC but where I live, I am much closer to Atlanta. 🤷♂️
@larrycox6933 Yeah, I set my VPN and play in central Texas. It is the best I could find, even living in Philly. Runs 56 ping but stable 140+ frames. Definitely some latency issues, it seems for me.

Maybe I'm in the very small minority or I just couldn't notice, but I've been having a blast in XDefiant and everything feels fine to me. There are some times I got matched into a lobby outside my server region and the bad ping did all sorts of weird stuff. Honestly the only problems I had with the game were the stuttering and weapon attachment unlock speed which have been fixed with season 1. It's pretty clear that Ubisoft didn't pour enough money and manpower into creating XDefiant to directly compete with AAA shooters in the market, but it still has solid gameplay and no invisible strings like SBMM ruining the casual experience I've been craving for a while now.
bro current cod mw3 has the worse net code hitreg ive seen in a long time in cod... battlefield has and will always have bad net coding and dice and ea will never fix it, we play it and expect it to be bad. the only worry is xdef would do the same and end up not improving it and say well it is what it is and this is best we can do and take the battlefield approach. but at the same time bf and cod have built a fan base that will always stick to these franchises no matter what. while xdef dont have that luxury and if they dont fix it soon it might die off and we dont want that. the ps5 problem is not just frame drop it also is a server net code and hit reg problem, so what ever improvements they made just went down the drain

a mejorado bastante desde que salió que estaba horrible ahora es jugable. lo cual me da esperanza de que stan mejorando. le falta todavía. lo que podrían hacer es sacar el daño 5% mas canon pesado y el 5% del disparo rápido para que el hitreg sea parejo para todos y no allá brechas entre novatos y los que juegan mas con esas arma. y que los sniper solo maten de 1 a la cabeza no a los pies ni estomago que no marquen headshot si la cabeza aun sigue en cobertura. y otra cosa importante hay tramposos matando de instakill con ak47 sniper matando de 1 tiro.
Netcode from what i've researched, isn't an "easy fix". that part of gaming is difficult because of how populated the game servers truly are. Its a free to play game and i will continue to play it over COD. However, i will give them the benefit of the doubt.
Look at BF4 and when it came out the netcode was horrible but dice kept at it and fixed it and now it's seen as a great game. Again give them time they will fix it, these people just think it can be fixed by a snap of a finger their wrong.
Poor anti-cheat is the biggest thing to complain about tbh.
The hate around this game is insane. Its like a something in the past has proteced them and now that they can not hit their shots, now its bad hit reg. Yeah i also die around corners. My friends, who are bad literally say they dont they, what a bad game, so why is it then that i have 80 kills?
This is why I stop playing the game it's clear they do not care about the netcode or the hit reg
I never had any massive issues, probably because I'm on Xbox. We should trust Mark and the other devs. I'm a programmer myself and I know how difficult it is to keep up with all the bugs, especially with a complete new engine.

@@coal_91 I put my fps counter on and 120hz does fluctuate a fair bit but I've not hand any hang ups, apparently this issue is post update, is a bug, and is primarily a problem with the 60 hz mode. Which I don't use. Nothing to do with console specs or power or anything else you may be insinuating.
i love this game but bro the spider bots are genuinely ruining it for me lol idk if its just me but more and more ive been ruining into teams with at least 3 more often 4 on the same team and unless i see it and am able to hurry up and throw an emp im cooked and its so aids theres no reason for it to be in the game.
While I admit it isn't good for a game to release like this, gamers nowadays have been just given the tiktok brain. Everything needs to be now, now, now, no other games to play just this one. You see this everywhere nowadays honestly. nobody has patience anymore. Just play another game while you wait for this "free to play" game to update if you hate playing it so much right now. If this game cost actually money, they'd have more of a point but this game is free.
