I have a feeling whoever made the egg quest didn't talk to the level designer that much.
I was 100%ing the game a few days ago and this was the last thing I had to do, lol. I spent like two hours straight before I got the egg to the Tengu couple.
If anyone wants a tip, I suggest saving at the shrine before the volcano kami and equipping the Confidence Omamori. Confidence makes you deal increased damage at the cost of taking double damage. It makes resetting quicker.
Alternatively if you just quit out to the main menu and reload your save it will also take you back to this shrine. Might be faster than dying depending on how much HP you have.

@@Hakudan2 I could get the fragile flower done in 2 runs (Pick up the flower and take the regular path while killing everything on the way even if I do get hit then I just teleport back do it again this time with a clear path) but this one the monsters reset and it’s like doing the flower quest in the White Palace where every move has to be meticulous probably took me 20-30 tries doing different routes till I figured going down right then up left was easiest
I promise you it's not 😂
Delicate Flower requires you to walk across half the map with fewer movement options across the 3 choices of the hardest areas in the game, the fastest of which consists of flying and explosive enemies, some of which can snipe you from LITERALLY offscreen, while the safest route requires far more travel through another area where you can be sniped from almost offscreen by multiple flying enemies into FOG CANYON, and it wraps up with a disturbingly precise jump in an area with YET MORE flying enemies with projectiles. And that's not even mentioning the journey you would have to take to give the Flower to any other NPCs.
Compared to Delicate Flower, this is a walk across the street. You even have hover to just sort of stay clear of the obstacles. The enemies clear themselves for you, or only attack you once, there's a small portion of it where you get to just chill in 0 danger if you want, and you even have the darumas for projectile attacks or invincibility (even including Hazards) if you need it
The Fragile Egg quest is definitely hard, but it took me like an hour to do it and most of the difficulty was condensed in the first half with the platforming of the Eastern Trial - once you got past that, the difficulty drops exponentially. Really, the only difficulty I experienced in the Western Trial was the ice ghost that shoots at you, but you can mostly ignore her as long as you keep out of her sight or keep moving in one direction
It only seems like Delicate Flower was easier because you could kill the enemies beforehand - but I invite you to do the quest without doing that, and then telling me that it was easier than this game, whose movement options kind of blow Hollow Knight's out of the water
This is the worst part of the game

This quest is so hard ;(I passed it on the weekend) you can't use fast travel, you can't use checkpoints, you can't fall onto spikes, get crushed or get hit by enemies. I spent roughly 2 days trying for this, but I didn't give up. It's not impossible, but just very frustrating because of the nature of it. The Omamori you receive after beating it though is not worth it, but if you want the 'Strapped' trophy, it has to be done.
You have to basically cheat the obstacles and NOT do them as the designers intended.
I finally got the egg to their parents. Took me so many tries, but I didn't give up!!
No way I'll do that just for an omamori no way, if the reward was one more feather health and other talisman maybe... If u r not trying 100% (maybe I'll or just nah), definitely not worth it. But thxs for the video bro if I do this definitely will use ur path 👍🏻👏🏻
That top half of the eastern challenge took me so many tries without the egg iv got no hope those two spinning wheels at the end are just too much for my brain haha

0:58 holy shit I always forget that some games have screen shake. That’s always the first thing I look for and turn off before I even start a game. Idk how people play with something like that just rocking ur screen anytime you hit something 😂😂
I succeeded in this quest on the first try by taking the bottom path which avoids doing the top part which is infamous in my opinion
I was thinking about doing that, but then couldn't figure out how to get past that one (slightly) angled part and gave up. At least this way I was able to show off the "intended path", I guess.😂
This is possible by hanging from the ledge at ceiling level then performing a dash and finishing with the glider.
This is just Path of Pain II for all intents and purposes.

Never have I felt more miserable than that time I spent getting the unhinged achievement on the first Ori game on the definitive edition. But even now that I’ve completed I can’t help but feel slightly angry that this fucking bird looks at me in the eyes and says: “oh is that AN tengu egg?” Are you fucking me, did I do all this for a fucking spelling mistake and a verbal pat on the back? The actual fuck would I need to hover slightly faster for. For fuck sake.
Yeah, the reward is definately... questionable. But on the other hand, you'Re not missing out on something essential, right?😅

Are there any checkpoints for this quest at all? Is it possible to use a save shrine and then when hit just reload your save?
I asked that myself. I did save at a shrine after making it through the eastern part for the 1st time, but then I ended up clearing the western part as well 😂
Nope! You have to make it in "one go". I tried exiting the game when I reached a shrine (to backup my save) and when I loaded back in the egg was gone.😥
It's actually possible to go the other way. And at least to me it was easier.
How?
On the part with the big jump if you climb to the top of the wall you can glide over the spikes.

Took me about 1-2h of consistent attempts to get it, not sure how many tries that equals to, though😅

Why not using the wall roll ability?
What was that upward dash in the falling icicle part? Is that just a feature of wall climb that I never noticed?
My non tutorial reading ass just figured it out. If anyone else didn't read the tutorial, it's A while wall clinged.

It is definately one of those abilities you can easily "miss", thinking that you can only cling onto the walls. I think this might be the only time I used this particular move in the game as well...😅

I am surprised how many people dont realize that this is a thing. This is one of the most fun movement abilities Bo has.
