  • This video is not meant to be negative towards Mathews. I love the Lift 33 so far. Maybe Mathews will be nice and help me out???? I know how to let down a bow. But just to warn others, be more careful than me I guess. I'll post again when I hear from them but man... I still feel sick about this. I love my bow! I shoot every day as it's my way of decompressing from work and whatnot. I'm gonna miss it while it's getting fixed. What's sad is literally just last week I sold all my other bows I've been hanging on to. Sold my old 2004 Bowtech Liberty, 2019 Mathews Vertix, and Mathews TRX 38 G2. I wish I had any one of them still so I could continue shooting!!

    Everybody’s gonna tell you what you did wrong, but sometimes stuff happens whether you’re careful or not! Murphy’s Law!

    I have the lift 29.5. I have let the bow down dozens of times without any issues. The bow shoots great and it is so quiet. Maybe you hit your release by accident? Sorry that happened to you, I know how upsetting that can be. I was skeptical about purchasing a lift due to the limbs being so thin, but I don't regret my purchase and absolutely love the bow.

    Mathews will absolutely stand behind the bow. There's not a doubt in my mind. Good luck, and please post a video after the free repair or replace.

      @jethro450 Red Rock Archery in Colorado would absolutely stand behind their product. If your dealer won't help you, call Gabe Lucero and see if he can help. Or just call Mathews direct, and I bet they stand behind the bow.

    I derailed mine on let-off after I modified the grip shape which in turn caused me to torque the bow to the right. This was immediately after getting it home after waiting 15 weeks for it to arrive. Luckily nothing was damaged but I’m extremely cautious going forward.

    Mine did the same thing on the shot. I took the grip off and shoot from the riser. I dont grip the bow till aftwr the shot breaks. Arrow nocked proper spined. BAM! The bow just let go. These bows are having issues for sure.

    Had to have been torqued whether you think you did or not if youre completely honest with the dealer matthews may be willing to help however my local shop has to many people that lie about what actually happened take it for what its worth my shop just said being honest goes along way

      Hard to admit but you're probably right. The only question in my mind is, what if the cable broke BEFORE the string came off the cams? Possible, Yes. Probable, probably not. But there is a chance... Either way, I'm at where I'm at and I did tell the shop the true story so we'll see where it goes from here. I'm going to send this video to Mathews as well. I have emailed them several times in the past. They can evaluate all they want. I'd hope for some compassion where the bow is less than 3 weeks old.

    I bought a new phase 4 on black Friday, I had a paint chip in the riser and haven't shot other than sighting it in due to waiting to see if mathews was going to do anything. Well 6 months and nothing back from the place I got it from. Called another authorized dealer and they said they would try and help. I pulled the bow back before I went , well just because I wanted to. Went to let it down and I think the let off is so great that the string is able to roll off the cam and I had the same exact thing happen to me. Luckily there was no damage. The bow has maybe 50 arrows ran through it . I thought I ruined my new bow over that malfunction.

    AT is full of derailed lift posts. Sorry to hear about yours man that stinks. Take it to your dealer and they’ll take care of you. I’ve been shooting Mathews since 2018 and have broke alot of stuff. They always took care of me when the bow goofed.

      That’s not good to hear, the part about Lifts being derailed. The part that worries me is my dealer said they’ve see a few already and Mathews is not helping out…

    Crazy. I was just comparing the cams on my lift to the cams on my sr6 wondering how I never had this happen. The sr6 cams are barely string wide. At least the Mathews has flared sides and seems like it would help prevent it a little. Sorry man, crappy deal.

      It’s been a day and I’m still sick about it. I’m really hoping Mathews steps up and helps out but if they don’t, I’m going to be in this same cost of a title. I should’ve just bought a Title

    I dry fired mine and there was no damage to cams…..just needed new string. Your string may have been cut and you didn’t notice? That there is a rarity with a Mathews….

    Did you have your cams shimmed in opposite directions out of curiosity? I think bow techs are relying more on shims than adjusting the rest for paper tuning these days

    • @jethro450
      @jethro450  4 місяці тому

      Nope. Cams are almost centered. Top one is a hair off center but not much. It used to shoot bullet holes…
