I can confirm this deck is competitive. I copied Seth's list (thanks for sharing it with us) and took it all the way to Mythic with a 79% win rate (Historic, BO1). This deck is super cheap and super legit. Keep up the great work Seth!
Even Bogles has more interaction than this deck in the main x) It is strong, don't take me wrong, but it's really close to playing solitaire. It's particularly visible during the occasional mirror match where neither deck can interact with the opponent so they each try to go over the top frantically.

seth, why are you running grafdiggers cage in a lurrus deck with sentinel's eyes, its a pretty big nonbo... I'd go for containment priest if you're worried about goblins/winota or something like a soul-guide lantern or tormod's crypt for graveyard decks, these options all play much better with the lurrus and the soul-guide/crypt are lower rarity as well.
@@RasmusVJS I'm certainly not debating that cage is an excellent hoser for other decks but is it really worth shutting down your own late game when the other options I mentioned are available?
I think the game with 1 land in opening hand using math you had a better shot at drawing 1 land then you did drawing a card u have 7 of so I would have kept it and hoped for odds better than in 1 3 vs 1in little better 1 in 10.
After casting the aura on the alseid, he sacrificed the alseid targeting the spiritdancer, so that he could cast the aura again from the grave with escape, to draw one more card.
Following on from the discussion about Arena economy last week I don't think these decks should really be called Budget in Arena. Especially with 8 rares that are in Historic only packs that you have to buy rather than earn from wins :-( if you were an F2P player this would take you a month of dailies to get the rares, if you actually bought the packs I think you'd be looking at $60 on packs, so a lot more than in paper or on modo

It's actually 15. Finding what counts as "budget" on Arena is tricky since it's very individual and depends on how you play the game (and even what you open).
@@wykeer three months playing every day while not buying anything else looks like a steep price to me. Also rares are indeed more "rare" than mythics, at least in my and my friends' experience, a real budget deck to me would be 15 mythics.
@@rikname3672 it is the worst case scenario. if you are a not completly new player you will already some of the cards needed and if you are not a bad drafter you will get the cards faster. You are right that you have to invest some amout of time into farming, but this is the price you have to pay for going completely f2p.
@@rikname3672 well actually since you get a pack every 2 levels it's half that, and you can spend money and gems in drafts. A new player with all the free packs of old expansions and a bit of farming can build this in no time. I also think that if you are a new player and you wanna play historic some of the rares here like Lurrus and cage which will be relevant in the format probably forever so it is a good investment. Same as for the lands if you decide to upgrade it.

21 lands is too much for a deck like this with also draw engine like spiritdancer and sram.
It's disgusting how good this is for a budget deck. It was good with just Kor Spiritdancer, it's amazing with Sram as well now!

Playing a green/white version of this with warbriar blessing for removal and setessan training for trample and it does really good in the mirror match
Why? This deck is a completely known deck and is one of the best in the format. Are we seeing Jund Sacrifice on Much Abrew later in the week?

I would think the deck might be vulnerable to some way of making swarms of cheap chump blockers?
Ideally being able to give our big threat flying gest around this issue, but flying chump blockers can be a problem.

No, it isnt. 15 rares are like 90 packs if you didnt have any rares needed, witch is 90 days of doing your dailies ( in the worst case).
