Your chickens are so sweet coming over to be near you. Not sure what you were talking about because that one was so sweet staying right with you, I couldn't focus on what you were saying 😂

I'm also here in Pacific North West, and it's definitely interesting to see early bud break. Pear tree, raspberry, and blueberry bushes bud broke a week ago, hoping that this week's cold won't damage new growth.

Hi Melissa. We moved 18 months ago and having to reestablish all fruit and gardens. I dont have chickens yet. Hopefully within the month. What would you suggest commercially to use to fertilize one year old raspberries and blueberries. I just saw you have a video on pruning blueberries so I’m off to watch that and maybe you address my question there. If not, I appreciate any info. Have a blessed day.

What zone are you in? I was told not to have raspberrys and blueberries near each other. Northern Wisconsin here still has snow around Blueberries. I put down 8 inches of woodchips around both raspberries and blueberries but they are 50 yards apart from each other. The blueberries went in last year the size of a pencil and managed to get them over knee-high by the end of the season. Only had two blueberries on 6 plants. I was told it would take years for the first blooms so I was pleased with the two berries. Thanks for all your info.

I'm in zone 6 but the zone only tells if the plants will survive the winter. Raspberries and blueberries are fine next to one another, they both require acidic soil and large commercial farms around here have the fields side by side. They don't share the same diseases

Melissa, can you do a grape pruning video? Our house has grapes that are nearing 40 years old. We've been here 2 years, and they aren't producing like the previous owner said they would.

Mine are already pruned for this year but I have a full tutorial inside my Backyard Gardening Course or the Pioneering Today Academy. You can find more info on that here melissaknorris.com/classes/

Is your adorable hen a Cochin? I have one, Henrietta. Just love her feathery feet. I'm hoping to use her to raise chicks... may eventually be a brooder. She and Betty Bahama get to hang out in our fenced orchard... protection from aviator attack. Fluffy feet can't run fast. Love the video. Thank you.❤

Where do you recommend I buy elderberry cuttings from?

We have a nature conservatory that does a spring sale, otherwise if someone local has any they're super easy to do, I have a video showing how. I bought my first two bushes as bare root from Raintreenursery.com and then took cuttings from them
