Wasn't it clear from Brainiac himself that this is basically an alternate Universe? He was even telling the 4 that he would unleash them into the Multiverse. And one thing, in the Injustice Animated movie, it seems that every alternate universe thinks that their universe is Earth 1, meaning that even if these guys are referring to their Universe as Earth 1, most likely it ain't. DC is flooded with the whole Multiverse, Death and events have gotten to the point of being as inconsequential as events and death in freaking Rick and Morty. I mean, even look at the Harley Quinn series, Batman and Co are always disrespected, why would this story be anything serious when even many comics aren't? To be clear, I'm just making a point here, not disrespecting nor attacking.

You’re telling me that a guy who was on the brink of death and managed to not only find a cure to stop himself from dying but take on every major villian in the surrounding area in only 7 hours, a guy who in his second year took down 8 assassins who wanted him dead all in one Christmas Eve night, a guy who took down an entire private militia by himself, led by someone who knew all his moves whilst taking down his entire rogues gallery in the process, again all in one night. So apparently the senior members apparently went to Warner bros and asked to ether a superman game or a Batman beyond game. While the current heads of rocksteady will call bull on it, a bunch of concept art was leaked for the game for superman which looked to be pretty awesome. Eventually Warner bros said they wanted a suicide squad game and the senior staff gave up and left after that. Can’t say I blame them.

This is the single most disgusting and just straight up disrespectful ending I've ever seen for a videogame character's arc. We grew up with Arkham's Batman for well over a decade now, and for Rocksteady to just unceremoniously off him like this just straight up ruined the franchise. Not to mention that that's the worst way they could've honored Conroy's legacy.

Edit: Bruce Timm recently confirmed that Kevin Conroy sadly did not voice lines for Caped Crusader before his death, I’m very sorry guys, but as I earlier mentioned, I’m not sure if this is his FINAL performance.

What really perplexes me about this game, aside from the decision to make it a live-service shooter, is their treatment of the Justice League. You get the license to kill these renown characters in your product and this is it? No themes, no morals, no flair, no gravitas, just a standard video game fight and then not even a dignified cutscene for each of them? Each of the Colossi in Shadow of the Colossus had more emotional deaths than the J.League in this game, and there were 16 of them. Like...the stuff on display here is so empty dude.

The rings are also incapable of using lethal force without guardian permission, and they can only be used by someone with immense willpower, e.g: not king shark. Plus wonder woman's bracers are practically indestructible and should be more than capable of withstanding heat vision. It's honestly silly how badly they had to nerf the Justice League to tell this story and the amount of times all members of the Suicide Squad could've been absolutely destroyed by any of the JL throughout the game. Whether it's Batman knocking them out instead of just snapping their necks when you meet him for the first time or Superman showing up after Batman dies and then just flying away instead of just killing them right then and there and so on.
What they should have done is have more people in the actual squad so then the evil JL could have got some more kills to show them as an actual threat. You wouldn't even have to make the squad members that die playable just have them controlled by ai.

The remaining members of the league that weren't infected try to stop him. Wonder woman has a sword that's imbued with both magic and kryptonite. She cuts his arm off and stabs it through, but he almost kills her in one punch through her stomach and she succumbs to the virus. The point made is that a superman that's bloodlusted isn't holding back, so wonderman never stood a chance against him. Batman says it all the time, we only can beat Clark if he let's us beat him.

Wasn't it clear from Brainiac himself that this is basically an alternate Universe? He was even telling the 4 that he would unleash them into the Multiverse. And one thing, in the Injustice Animated movie, it seems that every alternate universe thinks that their universe is Earth 1, meaning that even if these guys are referring to their Universe as Earth 1, most likely it ain't. DC is flooded with the whole Multiverse, Death and events have gotten to the point of being as inconsequential as events and death in freaking Rick and Morty. I mean, even look at the Harley Quinn series, Batman and Co are always disrespected, why would this story be anything serious when even many comics aren't?

What really perplexes me about this game, aside from the decision to make it a live-service shooter, is their treatment of the Justice League. You get the license to kill these renown characters in your product and this is it? No themes, no morals, no flair, no gravitas, just a standard video game fight and then not even a dignified cutscene for each of them?
Each of the Colossi in Shadow of the Colossus had more emotional deaths than the J.League in this game, and there were 16 of them. Like...the stuff on display here is so empty dude.

It's honestly silly how badly they had to nerf the Justice League to tell this story and the amount of times all members of the Suicide Squad could've been absolutely destroyed by any of the JL throughout the game. Whether it's Batman knocking them out instead of just snapping their necks when you meet him for the first time or Superman showing up after Batman dies and then just flying away instead of just killing them right then and there and so on.
Or Flash killing them without them having any time to react like the way he took Lex's heart out.

Superman gets infected with a virus that's like a hive mind control. The remaining members of the league that weren't infected try to stop him.
Wonder woman has a sword that's imbued with both magic and kryptonite. She cuts his arm off and stabs it through, but he almost kills her in one punch through her stomach and she succumbs to the virus. The point made is that a superman that's bloodlusted isn't holding back, so wonderman never stood a chance against him. Batman says it all the time, we only can beat Clark if he let's us beat him.
