In this What if Scenario, we continue our journey on what would Ash Ketchum's Pokemon Teams be if we couldn't pick Pokemon he's caught before! We're ending things off with SINNOH, UNOVA, KALOS, and ALOLA!

I could see something funny with Meowth and the Meowstic were Meowth tries to flirt with Serena's Meowstic who ignores him for Ash's. Meowth goes through a training montage with Team Rocket and at the end of the episode he'll battle Ash's Meowstic but still ends up losing and declares Ash's Meowstic his eternal rival or something and they could act like Kakashi and Guy from Naruto. It could be a running gag for the entire series were when they are on screen together Meowth is loud and talks about beating Meowstic while Meowstic is just uncaring about the whole thing. Serena's Meowstic could even act like a school girl about see two guys fight over her.
Counter to Salazzle, give Ash a male Salandit. It could have a story about how it's sad it will never be able to evolve, with Ash then deciding to help it grow strong enough to rival Salazzle. It would also be a nice way to call back to Pikachu wanting to prove that evolution isn't the only way to win battles.
EDIT: Also, Ash having a Zoroark could totally work. He can catch it as a Zorua and it could have been super lovey dovey, constantly snuggling up with Ash during moments of relaxation and napping on his lap, but still be a reliable battler with a moveset used to trip opponents up like Double Team and Dig. But once it evolves it... keeps that same personality of being basically a big cat. However when in battle, and things are getting heated, it can act super aggressive, to the point of going out of its way to attack opponents who have already been knocked out. Have Ash now have to undergo an character arc to help Zoroark control its aggression.
Thats dumb.
I can see Ash's Gastrodon being like his Toarkoal but useful. Slow, cries a lot and doubts itself but then rises up to the challenge because of some inspiring words from Ash.
I just now realized that Escavalier could've had a cool rivalry with Alder's Volcarona in this timeline.
Being trained by the Unova Musketeers gives him a role similar to that of Sirfetch'd in Journeys.
Palossand growing big it's essentially a fake Gigantamax, a parallel to another Ghost Type - Gengar.
Swampert, Magmortar and Chesnaught could easily be trained by the Elite 4s of Hoenn, Sinnoh and Kalos.
Magmortar training Z-Moves with Kiawe would be cool. Imagine Olivia's Rockium-Z on Rock Tomb as well.
Swampert under the tutelage of Hapu would be super sweet. Chesnaught meeting Hala is super fitting.
These are pretty interesting alternative teams for Ash in Sinnoh, Unova, Kalos and Alola. They have interesting dynamics, cool backstories and they would definitely make for interesting adventures. Plus I’m just happy Ash gets a Rampardos, Terracosta, Escavalier, Pyroar, Kartana and Marshadow.
Once again, didn't miss. Really found the logic for the teams in Kalos/Alola fascinating. Some interesting choices for sure, but it all made sense. Much love brother!

In my personal opinion, I like when Ash has some Pokemon not evolved. I think its more fresh that way, but thats just me.
Likewise but, because: I strongly dislike that darwinism nod, some designs are lost in adulthood also who doesn't want to see a benjamin button bad ass body the popular pics
Personally, I agree with this statement on the basis that Ash does not know how to evolve them. For me, it’s a choice mainly when it comes to stone and trade evolutions. I love Pokémon like Haunter, Growlithe, Clefairy and Phantump.
I think it's too forced keeping them unevolved when having more powerful teams while keeping their personalities is perfectly fine
Came back with the other! Even more interesting than the previous video. Marshadow I think works better here since it was not well explained in the anime or the movie like you explained and the typing is GOD TIER! The one I was most interested in was Journeys because there is SO MUCH potential but I understand and get behind him bringing some of his strongest back for this ultimate battle against the biggest anime threat. Mega Swampert would be a MONSTER! Great video and can't wait to see the others. Gained a new sub from me, keep the Pokemon content coming I can see so much growth coming from it!
Not to be rude but I died laughing when you accidentally gave the Dewpider evo (sorry can’t remember the name) the move set of Clawitzer on the screen but said dewpiders evo move set the dragon pulse got me lol

Yup! I like the challenge I imposed cause I think these teams are unique, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't want to add some original Ash Mon to these teams XD
To be honest, I think chesnaught at Leon fight would be overwhelmed. I mean, in the original, he had an mega Lucario and a G-Max Gengar, and those two fall relatively early after winning at least one mon. This fight was made to give Pikachu the spotlight and I think the Ash-form one falling against probably Charizard would rather Make the fans hate Leon or Pikachu for plot armor. If you read this, please reply to me, I want to know what you think about it.

I think a good idea on how Ash catches Salazzle? She is introduced to us as a Sandalit as mentioned early on, and she tries to impress her fellow Salazzle. But they are basically really uptight, like a mean girl High School clique. And as mentioned, she is friends with said elderly Stoutland, who is feeling rather weak. And much like the actual anime, the tree nearby Stoutland’s couch starts off blooming with life, though over time, it starts to lose its leaves. At episode 20, between scenes of Ash and Pikachu, the Sandalit gets rejected again, trying to impress her fellow Salazzle. At the end of the episode, a dejected Sandalit goes back to Stoutland, who comforts her. But the tree nearby has lost more leaves…
Come episode 21, much of the same plot still happens, though halfway through, when the last leaf falls and the couch breaks and Sandalit cries out in angony, instead of running back to the now vacant couch, she runs off, leaving Ash and Pikachu to run after it. Sandalit gets far into the forest before she falls over from exhaustion, and starts crying. Ash catches up to her, and gives her a warm hug, where even he is feeling sad too, being he’s a fellow Stoutland owner too. She either does or doesn’t get caught right away, but I can see her hanging with Ash and the other’s fellow Pokemon, who fully accept her as one of their own. She probably won’t battle with Ash right away, being she is in a moment of grieving. But I can imagine something happening 3 episodes afterwards, where the mean Salazzle horde starts forcing other Pokemon (And possibly other humans, including Ash’s fellow students) to do their bidding, with Ash and Salazzle unaffected. With all of Ash’s Pokemon under the Salazzle spell, the Sandalit is the only one available to save the day. They do, and Sandalit fully accepts Ash as her trainer. Cue elderly Stoutland cloud here, looking down, proud at their previous caretaker and friend.
Another idea you could that works with both her as a Incineroar parallel, and a Lycanroc parallel, have her do what you stated story wise, but, battle wise/ Aesthetically, you could have it look unique, which is why it was bullied, such as its color scheme being a mix of both a regular salazzle and a shiny one, so when Ash catches her, she will battle like Lycanroc , maybe even have a dusk form equivalent, IDK.

I would have thought Ash-Chestnaut would break out from its heavy armour shell in return for agility and attack (similar to the move Shell Smash)
Nicely done how Ash ends up with one team and one PC box of Pokemon. But it's also unfortunate that Rhydon & Misdreavus will never reach their full power.
I don't like the idea of Ash not having a new team for journeys for many reasons:
First, the fans will never accept having Ash not catching a new pokemon in over 3 years.
Second, those pokemon already got the spotlight and they're aces for a reason.
Ace pokemon are strong and they're not meant to lose to random pokemon and when they do lose, it's supposed to be important. Ash had to battle a lot of ramdom trainers to climb the ranks into the masters 8 so having ace pokemon lose to the non aces from other trainer teams will just devalue the position that those pokemon had.
And these are also pokemon with fully developed arcs and backstories. Ash does not need to train them for them to be stronger and win battles either. And if Ash wins every single battle with them that would make the entire series predictable.
I would've brought back Salamence (since its arc was about wanting to evolve) but to save from being OP early on, I see him refusing to fight until he finds an opponent he finds challenging. Not disrespecting to Ash but more just knowing he can win & encouraging to the new members.... or he gets brought back mid-to-late Kalos when Ash finds a Salamencite & his new arc is just mastering his mega evolution

First, good job with this, was actually very good!
Rewatching this video, for Golisopod 17:53. U coulda still had Ash catch one, just as a parallel to Guzmas similar with Ash's litten and Kakuis incineroar. Obv as a wimpod would be the scared and main developer of the team with him going from scared lil ass shrimp to cool badass samurai shrimp, with it disliking the way Guzma's Golisopod's fights do to it being dirty and dishonorable. It could have a backstory similar to incineroar where it was mentored by a old samurai golispod that it looked up to. Similar to Litten, it would end up losing it while Ash helps it out recover and move on to become a strong warrior just like its mentor. It could also be shiny to make it different since it wouldnt make sense a little wimpod went against a big ass monster lmao.
For its Moves I think Razor Shell X-Scissor Swords Dance Brick Break is hella solid.
I absolutely loved this. It is such a good idea for all the teams, Kanto through to Journeys. I may try and use these mons in a playthrough off fire ash or something just due to how interesting they would be.

With the storyline you gave it, Magmortar I feel would represent both Kanto and Sinnoh, so we’d only miss out on Johto. And even then, it’s grouped together with Kanto and the Orange Islands as “The Original Series” so by technicality, Magmortar could represent all of it. Plus if it’s like in canon, he’d keep a few Kanto mon with him to Johto before the roster slowly shifts with the new members.
Salazzle could take a similar role to Snivy

I love the personalities youre giving them. I was raising an eyebrow at Roserade because the Roserade line gets plenty of representation with Gardenia, Nando, Cynthia and Drew but the dumbass Roserade idea is so funny especially since it has a cape and I could see Ash doing what he did with Gligar in regards to letting Roselia become a Roserade in that Roselia has to be able to put his actions where his mouth is before Ash lets him evolve

You should make full what ifs in these teams
Your concerns about not being able to make Ash-Chesnaught faster could be mitigated by making him a boxer of sorts. Light on his feet and with moves like hammer arm it works. Then you threw in the thing about him throwing his spiky shield and well...hes just Captain America and that works really well for Ash.
Amazing storyline telling with the Magmar coming back to the Sinnoh team. Your Unova team is miles better than the anime Darmanitan is a perfect Ash Pokémon for sure

I agree on the Journeys team. Since we were saying goodbye to the characters, not the places, I would have rather seen the older mons while being an assistant for Magnolia. And seeing more z-moves than 10 million volt thunderbolt.
Gastrodon should have a 'fired up' gimmick. While it is normally very chill, it begins bursting with energy and battle power once it sees people fighting. While it doesn't move while fighting, it does often leap into the middle of battle and dishing out Mud Bombs, since mud is funny.

It was actually pretty stupid for her to want a tornado when she didn't want a sqportal. So so no, she shouldn't have any starters on her team. And ask for the other companions. No, I'm not doing that.😅

I feel like buzzswole could work as comic relief flexing than leaving but coming back during the battle giving him a thumbs up but than flexing to show off after seeying the cameras showing ash they have a bond but that wont change buzzswoles way of acting
Its such a small detail but I like how you gave Ash notable female Pokémon through Slurpuff and of course Salazzle, as often most fans tend to just default his entire team to male (not counting his already existing female captures).
I say each of your teams was well thought out.
Lumineon is my favorite water type. But no way it’s right for Ash.

I still feel like he should have a Journey's team. Like he should still have his rotating team of course, but it's always fun to see him catch and bond with new Pokemon as long as they can balance it with showing some love to the OGs. Maybe half Galar Pokemon, half from older ones.

Solid teams all around! I do think Ash having some unevolved Pokémon helps the world feel more real- everyone complains Ash “never evolves” his Pokémon. But these are, in universe, real living creatures. And so they don’t just hit a level and evolve like the code they are in the games- everyone grows differently, so it stands to reason some of Ash’s Pokémon just don’t get to the point of evolution. It’s not a weak Pokémon or a failure on Ash’s part. It’s just that Totodile hasn’t gotten there yet or Corphish or the like.
I was thinking maybe give Ash a Bidoof that evolves into a Bibarel for the water type as they are usually never considered Strong in any way Ash would show that it has potential to be a strong Pokemon if you put effort into it, which Paul is against. he learn this Bidoof in particular is doing self improvement in himself by swimming across lakes or rivers foreshadowing the evolution up to the moment when the Bidoof does evolves in his battle against Crasher Wake.
Alternatively, if it's allowed, you can use the mons that are in the Sinnoh Dex from Diamond, Pearl, Platinum you can also use the Whiscash or Gyarados line
These are just some ideas I had yours is also solid.
I knew Sinnoh and Kalos would present problems. Kalos was pretty obvious, Pokemon are in very small supply and I feel like there's a reason the type inbalance was so strong with the OG team. As for Sinnoh,for reference I made my own "what if I was in the anime" teams for each region which was basically just "what if I made new Ash teams because I like his battle style" with a similar handicap of "no Pokemon Ash has used UNLESS I can give it a different enough personality from the original" for Sinnoh I had all new mons and had to really think about what I could use that wasn't just a team of cross gen evolutions. As is, the team is very creative and I like what you did with the lack of a Chimchar replacement.
"Does their gimmick still work if they evolve" is something I never thought about and I find it very interesting. When I look at the series at large, it's why I like some Pokemon not evolving. I'm fine with Rowlet or Totodile staying the way they are because their evolutions don't facilitate the gimmick as well. It's also why I would've been fine with Cydaquil making it to Typhlosion because it could've been a Sceptile situation. There are outliers like Bayleef and Buizel but this thought process makes so much sense and while I like the fact Ash has no problem using pre evolved Pokemon, I'm fine with it just being Misdreavus and Rhydon (comeback in Sinnoh not withstanding).
Love the picks me personally I would have Ash catch a minnior just because I love that Pokémon

You could've put Kommo-o on his Alola Team and make it his Ace, Heck Maybe just put a Jangmo-o so Ash Got at least one of those non fully evolved pokemon that we all love.
Basing Pokemon Evolutions on personality is silly, if you are serious about winning a league evolution is the key, how you think Ash almost won the Kalos League and he won the Alola League and won the World Championships? The only unevolved Pokemon he had was Rowlett in his Alola Squad, even though in my unpopular opinion he should had evolved, because it could of been a badass grass type like Sceptile, Decidueye is just way to cool for Ash not have and it fits him very well.
I'm happy with the teams but I thought I'd see like Marowak instead of kantonian Far'fetched, Gallade in sinnoh, bisharp instead of excabilir, Aegislash or that trevenant that kidnapped ash in kalos. But overall I'm satisfied with the teams

These were interesting teams and here is what I think Ash Au other teams would be Sinnoh team 1, Pikachu 2, Bewdew / Roselia / Roserade or Bring over his Recently evolved Tangagrowth 3, Shellos/ Gastrodon 4, Magmortar 5, Driftloon / Driftblim 6, Raltz / Kirlia/ Gallade as the new Ace similar story to Infernape Unova team 1, Pikachu 2, Deerling/ Sawsbuck that one he tried to capture in the second episode 3, Darumata/ Darmantan 4, Frillish / Jellisent that female he fished in the fishing episode 5, Egg from the Trubish episode hatches into Rufflet/ Braviary his new bird Pokemon 6, Dieno He Catched as Zwelious then evolve into Hydreigon similar to Krookidillo extra 7, Venapede/ Whirlpede/ Skullipede the one he friended in the Sewers Kalos team 1, Pikachu 2, Chespin / Quilladin / Chestnaught / AshChestnaught 3, Esper/ Meowstic 4, Litleo / Pyroar 5, Clawicher / Clawlauncher 6, Skelpe / Dragalge since that Pokemon was never used by any trainers in X Y Alola team 1, Pikachu 2, Dewpider/ Araquanid 3, Salandit/ Salazzle 4, MudBray/ MudsDale 5, Kartana 6, Marshadow Pallosand would’ve shared the Ghost type with Marshadow and one of the bests part of Ash’s alola team was how diverse its typing was and so his Team for Battle Leon would’ve been 1, Pikachu 2, Magmortar 3, Swampert / Mega Swampert 4, Hydreigon 5, Mudsdale 6, AshChestnaught.
