Honestly this is the best tutorial where a beginner can also try to crochet without any hesitation. Emma thank you very much
Thank you! xx
Thank you, thank you, thank you for including the written pattern. I see so many lovely crochet tutorials that don't provide the pattern. It's so frustrating. Thank you again!
Wow! Beautiful and easy to make thanks to your tutorial…..I finished it in less than 3 hours…. I am a beginner….made mine in purple…thank you so much!
My friend yesterday suddenly told me to crochet a collar, and I woke up today thinking, okay, let's crochet a collar. I found this, and honestly I'm so happy ❤️ it didn't take long to make even for me who's a complete beginner, and the instructions were really easy to follow, so thank you for this video! ❤️
This was an excellent tutorial, very easy to follow along! This was my first time making something like this (the usual squares for blankets was about as good as it gets!). I bought my sister a beautiful vintage cardigan for Christmas and she said she'd love a Peter Pan collar to wear with it on days she isn't wearing a shirt.
All in all it took me about 2 1/2 hrs and I finished it with a wooden ball instead of a button (I'd none to hand).
You explain it so clearly and simply, it's impossible to mess it up.
Thank you so much for sharing, the visual complimented your blog post well which was helpful for a beginner like me :)
Oh that’s such lovely feedback - thank you! I’m so happy you enjoyed the tutorial. I love making these collars they are addictive 💕
I only have worsted weight cotton yarn, so I appreciate the stitch multiples. 🥰 I hope to make one of these to help dress up my long sleeve shirts to give them a bit of life.
Thank you very much for this awesome tutorial. At the first sight i thought i never will make it, but you explained so well, that i managed to make this collar for the first time. Thank you again! :)
Very cute and well explained instructions! And the conversion explanation is also well appreciated(as I am Canadian and know the U.S. terms better. Thank you so very much! 😁🥰
I wanted to make a crocheted collar for a summer maxi dress, your pattern is so lovely and will be perfect, I did make mine double this size to make it longer. Thank you for the easy to follow instructions.
I have only been crocheting since august and this tutorial was wonderful. Very easy to understand and a perfect product which took me only about an hour! i can't wait to make them in all colours and they'll make amazing gifts just in time for Christmas. Thank you very much for this :)
Oh wow that’s amazing! I’m so happy you enjoyed making them- I still love crocheting 💕 Em x
Thank you Emma! It is beautiful and it brings back memories. My mom used to make similar collars for me when I was a schoolgirl.
Thank you Ella! How lovely that your mum used to make collars for you... I made lots of these for Lulu too when she was younger... although she won’t wear them now, I hope she looks back and remembers them too! Em xx
Amazing and thanks for the lovely description. Though I am a beginner, could follow it easily and made a beautiful collar.

Well, thank Goodness for Lulu Loves Crochet, I have officially crocheted a stunning collar in a beautiful Jade cotton, I’ll use a white button for mine. Hi Emma, How lovely! I recently bought a vintage crocheted collar at an outdoor antique market. I'm probably dating myself, but I remember as a little girl, my grandmother making these. I went to private school and we wore uniforms that were very plain the only decoration was a hanky with the school insignia and a plain white peter pan collar. My grandmother used to crochet edging on both for my uniforms. Love following you on IG and YT. Gail :) a/k/a northerngail
northerngail038 hello Gail! Thank you so much... I must say I’d be a fan of any uniform that had a Peter Pan collar, especially a crocheted one!! 😍 How lovely that you had a grandmother who would do that for you! I hope I get to crochet some collars for any future grandchildren. Sending love on Valentines Day 💓 And thank you for your support, Em xx
Thank you very much! l did it in white for my lovely friend.
Beautiful design
It's very pretty. I will try it when I have some more cotton DK. Thx

Muy lindo ya lo hice, soy venezola gracias
I am a beginner I want to learn. Plz more detail video for beginners is my request.
Thanks! It's a beautiful design and easy to follow. But what if I want to make it bigger, keep going after row 5? Do I just increase the number of trebles so that there's 12 or 16 or whatever? Thanks!
Did this very lovely
Very beautiful. Thank you.
Maribel Is hooked Thank you xx
I just finished this tutorial. Thank you so much. Question: can I take the other side of my project to make it the right side. I think it looks nicer. Is there a big difference? I really enjoyed your tutorial. 👍
Just beautiful. How many stitches for a 5 year old please.
I love this! I’m having trouble with it curling on me...any suggestions?
Vraiment très très beau félicitation à vous madame
Merci 💕
Hi I loved your pattern. It's so lovely. May I use that to make products for my small business?
Yes of course as long as they are handmade by you .x
@@LululovescrochetThank you!
Beautiful! 😍😍😍😍
loved it!!!!
Hi Emma:) I love that pattern and I already make a few collars for presents 😊 I need bigger size and I’m confused with the “multiple 4”. I couldn’t found any information in your blog or here, what I need to multiply… it isn’t the centimetres of the length, it isn the chain of 80… 🤷♀️🤷♀️ or it mean “adding” 4 chains untill the desire length? 🤔 Sorry, very silly question probably but I really need help! 🆘🚨
🙏 Thank you 😊 🌺
Yes the pattern is worked in multiples of 4 means you add or subtract in multiples of 4 to get your desired length ie you can add, 4, 8, 12 stitches and the pattern will still work. I will say though that the pattern will probably not work as well if you add many more stitches as it will just go round on itself. You may be better using a larger hook to get a bigger size. Xx
So yes just add 4 (8,12) more chains to your beginning chain xx
@@Lululovescrochet Thank you so much Emma! My maths skills aren’t the best 🙈I’m sending you a lots of love from Bulgaria 🤗🌺💝
Hi.i like that and i will make 1.But how can i make it bigger? Please share the bigger size👏👏👏
The tutorial tells you how to make a bigger size at 1:52 💕
Lovely pattern but when I made mine the collar curled up a lot..
If I'm gonna make this for a baby (4/6 months +) how long do you think I should make the foundation row? 😊
Honestly I wouldn’t recommend this type of detachable collar for a baby, unless it was going to be sewn on to their garments. Em xx
Ah okay can I ask why? 😊And thank you soo much for your answer 😊it's a really beautiful collar 😍
Stefanie Olesen Thank you! Well I wouldn’t want to risk the collar getting caught on anything and I know babies can be little wrigglers. If I were going to make one for an infant I would permanently attach it to the clothing so it wasn’t loose around the neck xx
Ah of course you are so right 😊 I didn't think of that. Thank you so much for your answers.
My nana is American and she taught me with English terms. I got really confused once I started Reading patterns. When I asked her she just said that is how her mother taught her. She was American too so I don’t know where they picked it up. 😂
Yes it is confusing! I wonder where they learnt it! I also learnt using American terms and then struggled with the English but I learnt using American UA-cam tutorials. It was a struggle when I started writing for English magazines 🤣
My collar needs to fit a scoop neck dress, the neckline is 22 inch how do I make it fit
Hello - I’ve never made one for a scoop neck so I’m afraid I can’t be more help. The pattern will only create a circular collar, it probably wouldn’t sit flat on a scoop neck . If you want a scoop neck it will need less increases and this would affect the pattern. X

Wish you could show the end product by wearing the collar
