What are the pros and cons of waiting to submit ones PSW visa application within a week to the expiry of his/her student visa, even though IHS and Visa fees have been paid successfully?
Hello Ikenna, please don’t do this. I submitted 8 weeks to my visa expiry and I even wish I submitted 2 and half months earlier. There’s a rush of applications right now.

Hi when i applied this PSW visa step by step after the IHS payment done, i did the payment of visa Fees 822 £ and its deducted from my account and i got paid with reference number but still its showing that payment is not completed and i received email of IHS payment but i did not receive any email of visa fees and actually its deducted so what i need to do ? I need an advice. I am going to apply for psw next month and i compleate my university successfully. Actually when i was new here about a year ago, checker in train give me ticket beacause i donot have my railcard that day. Thus summons came at the adress. But before that i have moved to another house. But i didnot know that and property owner return that summons. So i couldnot pay my fine either go to court. He just told me 3 months ago. Hi, so sorry to hear about this. I think it will be best to get in touch with a solicitor. However I feel it should be okay as it will be considered as petty issue and will not be categorised as a major crime. But please talk to a good solicitor to ensure you are okay to proceed with the application.

Hi, no Tier 4 visa holders cannot work for more than 20 hours during the academic year. You have the option to work full time (40+ hours ) during semester breaks and after the completion of your course.

If you have worked in the UK, it is vital to declare it to the authorities. And they will be able to verify your work status through the NI number. Please get complete an online form on the HMRC site and they'll post you your NI number again. There's also a HMRC phone line that can send your number by post if you would rather do that. It will take 15 days .

Hi, As long as you apply the right visa from the gov.uk website, you don't need to worry. I was not asked to upload document during application either, but opted to do voluntarily. You don't need to upload if not asked for it.

When i am applying for my PSW and using the app to scan the chip on the brp, at the very end - They are saying the info we got from your doc with the chip that is brp does not match with your other details - where they are picking up my passport no which i used to create my UKVI account. @ Hey Yes, when you get the message details does not match, just click on continue and ukvi application will auto update the BRP info in your profile with the correct BRP info scanned from your card. After that you can continue with rest of the application. Hope this helps.

No need to show any proof of living costs if you and your husband were already in the country during the course. The proof is needed in case your spouse is joining you after the completion of the course which is usually not allowed.
Hi, I have a question that I have my single name on my passport its Rahul. when I applied for visa from India the again put my name Surname (-) and First Name Rahul. And now in CAS letter my name is - Rahul. Now I want to apply for PSW. But for creating an account its asking surname when I put my sir name is (-) this its not accepted it shows error that surname should be on Letters. What can I do. Please suggest me.

During the studies, our 4-year-old child also came to the UK on a dependent child visa. Later, due to some personal reasons, he had to be sent to India. After some time, I also came to India to take care of him. Currently, my wife is in UK on the graduate visa route. So, if I and my baby have lived together in UK on student dependent visa and are currently in India, can we apply for a dependent graduate visa?

If you haven't submitted application, You should be able to go back the application and edit details. If that doesn't work, you can delete the application and start again.
Hi, Payment is towards the last part of the application. You will have a chance to review your completed application and then pay fee if all looks good.

Hi Vidhya, if there is an error you can always start a new application by deleting the previous one. Hope this is the simple solution to your question.
Hi friends It is fine to have your shortened names. Because on your brp card you will find some code at the bottom along with your shortened name. This happens only if you long name. When I faced this issue I called ukvi and they cleared my doubt. If u have any queries you can contact ukvi all the time. It's better getting clarification from them. Hi there is issue with name of my husband. There is no given name on brp and the full name is in the surname. Now the application in the end is not koving further as it is showing no given name. If am putting the name in that column, it is showing the name 2 times with surname. Any sugvestions?

If you have a phone with NFC, you can scan your BRP and do it online. If you are not able to scan using your phone, you will have to book an appointment.

Hi, I would suggest it will be good to disclose any interaction you had with the GP even if it was a blood test. You can keep the duration of treatment to be the same month. Hope it helps.

It is always good to apply at least a month before the expiration. The decision can take time if the Visa and Immigration department is busy. I got mine in around 3 weeks.
For psw applications, in my passport have only have given name , no have Surname but in applications it requires to write Surname then what I do? I write my given name in also Surname tell me madam as soon as possible?

For question 1, you can provide as living with family if there is such an option. I am not too sure if not. For question 2, you will need to provide your current address along with your address for the past 5 years(Home address in your case)
We received a response in 3 weeks. We applied 2 days apart. The decision time depends on the time of application and many things. But it is always good to give 4-6 weeks just to be on the safer side.

Hi Rakhi I am applying for Graduate Visa. But problem I m facing is that I have just first name. So when I started my application they ask me to enter surname and given name but I don’t have surname then there was information showing that if don’t have surname then I can write my full name in surname space. So I did this and when I reached at the immigration health surcharge then they ask me to write my given name I did write and now problem is that in surname also there is my full name so what can I do now?
Hi It is quite common in UK visa applications to show your given name and surname as your given name in your passport in the case of no surname in your passport. This shouldn't affect your application.

Hi Rakhi, when I was applying on 3rd may and kept wrong expiry of my brp so I deleted the application that day itself because it was not matching the expiry date given by my uni as I changed from placement to non placement(which is different date for the expiry of brp) even today I tried but it is still showing me the 3rd may page and I couldn’t continue my application what can I do now! Please help me out I tried doing it with another device and also with another email and phone number but it wasn’t working how can I change the brp expiry date again to its original

Hi, from my understanding you need to be in the UK while applying for the visa but does that mean you need to be in the country while the application is being processed- I don’t know. To be on the safer side, if I were you I would only travel after receiving my decision. Hope this helps

If you haven't submitted application, You should be able to go back the application and edit details. If that doesn't work, you can delete the application and start again.

It is fine to have your shortened names.
Because on your brp card you will find some code at the bottom along with your shortened name. This happens only if you long name. When I faced this issue I called ukvi and they cleared my doubt. If u have any queries you can contact ukvi all the time. It's better getting clarification from them. Happy to say that I got my psw also. Good luck for everyone who apply for psw👍

Hi there is issue with name of my husband. There is no given name on brp and the full name is in the surname. Now the application in the end is not koving further as it is showing no given name. If am putting the name in that column, it is showing the name 2 times with surname. Any sugvestions?

There is no CAS after passing. CAS is Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies and is issued when you are successfully admitted to a University/College

If you have a phone with NFC, you can scan your BRP and do it online. If you are not able to scan using your phone, you will have to book an appointment.

Hi there, very informative video thanks dear, I have just completed my masters I got mail today that u can apply for graduate route visa, so now I have all my payslips ready from last NOV 2022 till now, I work in hotel where payment is done monthly,., now my hotel policy is like they pay monthly so ( calculation is from 1st to 29th date of every month ) but I have received two payslips where I have received payment of 100 hours asked my manager will it be issue he said it won't bcoz in those payslips of 100 hours overall number of weeks is 4.5 (June 2023 and August 2023) where there is extra half week which was also counted, so it came 100 hours overall for 5 weeks

Hi, I would suggest it will be good to disclose any interaction you had with the GP even if it was a blood test. You can keep the duration of treatment to be the same month. Hope it helps.

There is no specific time. Best to apply 2 months earlier as application decision may take up to 8 weeks

It is always good to apply at least a month before the expiration. The decision can take time if the Visa and Immigration department is busy. I got mine in around 3 weeks.
For psw applications, in my passport have only have given name , no have Surname but in applications it requires to write Surname then what I do? I write my given name in also Surname tell me madam as soon as possible?

For question 1, you can provide as living with family if there is such an option. I am not too sure if not.
For question 2, you will need to provide your current address along with your address for the past 5 years(Home address in your case)

We received a response in 3 weeks. We applied 2 days apart.
The decision time depends on the time of application and many things. But it is always good to give 4-6 weeks just to be on the safer side.

I am applying for Graduate Visa. But problem I m facing is that I have just first name. So when I started my application they ask me to enter surname and given name but I don’t have surname then there was information showing that if don’t have surname then I can write my full name in surname space.
So I did this and when I reached at the immigration health surcharge then they ask me to write my given name I did write and now problem is that in surname also there is my full name so what can I do now?

It is quite common in UK visa applications to show your given name and surname as your given name in your passport in the case of no surname in your passport.
This shouldn't affect your application.

Hi Rakhi, when I was applying on 3rd may and kept wrong expiry of my brp so I deleted the application that day itself because it was not matching the expiry date given by my uni as I changed from placement to non placement(which is different date for the expiry of brp) even today I tried but it is still showing me the 3rd may page and I couldn’t continue my application what can I do now! Please help me out I tried doing it with another device and also with another email and phone number but it wasn’t working how can I change the brp expiry date again to its original

Hi, from my understanding you need to be in the UK while applying for the visa but does that mean you need to be in the country while the application is being processed- I don’t know. To be on the safer side, if I were you I would only travel after receiving my decision. Hope this helps
