Thanks for taking us on the drive Alex your satnav is hilarious. My satnav send me down a country lane the other day and I damaged the sill on my 75 :(
Thank you very much for taking us outside London proper! I was paying attention to the PT Cruiser that was to your right, then you were following for quite some time! And it seems to fit in with more modern vehicles, while being what I would consider to be a modern classic! Of course, I love the sound of your Jessie, which is a proper classic, especially the turn signals!
Hi Alex, Interesting drive from Hendon and North London. Jessy handled it well. Unusual voice on the SatNav though, sounded to tired to bother...lol! Glad you reached home ok. Take care, Jon B. 🙂
Very odd route from Hendon and around Watford, but worth it just to hear your SatNav - BRILLIANT :-). Jessie sounds lovely - that whine when you pull away in 1st gear. Take care and thanks for the video X X
Hi Alex, as an ex-North Londoner and ex-Rover owner (P6B I'm afraid, not a classic P4 like yours!), I really enjoyed seeing all those familiar roads again. Back in the day, we called the P3 and P4 Rovers doctors' or bank managers' cars, as it seemed those were the kind of people that drove them -- steady, sturdy and reliable, like their vehicles. As an aside, my father had one of the very first Rover 2000s (white with black upholstery - very flash!), and whilst it was light years ahead of the P4s (and P5s) in terms of handling and safety, being an early one it did have some problems. When it went back to the dealer to have its *third* clutch thrust bearing installed, they loaned him either a 105 or 110, I can't remember which. My father said it was quiet and comfortable, like driving around in a gentleman's club armchair (and with similar handling), but the steering effort required to turn the wheel was immense compared to his 2000. However, there is something magic about those classic Rovers!
Lovely comment 😊 thank you ! I am from South London originally. North London felt like foreign land haha. I normally take my 1967 Rover 2000 auto when I go to London 😊 this was the first London trip for Jessie my P4. The steering is awfully heavy and the P6 does almost feel like a sports care in comparison lol x
That was a bit of an odd route if you were going to the M40. It took you North, up the East side of Watford, then South down the West Side of Watford via the M25.
My god! The open the car door ploy at 2:57..Now illegal. He used the wrong arm to open it! I think maybe it is imperative to check the front of Jessie after every trip, to brush out the pedestrians and cyclists from the grill. I want a P4.
Don't recognise the voice on the sat nav, but it was interesting! This video is like one of my Very Vague Vlog series, except with less rambling from me. The way to the A41 from Hendon was unusual, but I know why it took you onto the M1 for that section, as it runs parallel to the A41, which is much slower.
Engine sounds good, everything going like a proper Rover should. I almost enjoyed the ride as much as you. What's the make and model of the camera you use, it's very clear? If you say it's your mobile phone I'll faint.
A good video. It might be N London, but Hendon, the A41 and it's roundabouts are as legitimate metropolitan driving as the West End. It is probably more so than central London because traffic moves faster and eejits in Audis etc. have more opportunity to behave that way. It is a feature of P4 driving that others give us a wide berth.
I do like the sounds your Rover is making, engine note, gearbox whine and the classic flasher can pinking. Love classic cars.

This is so relaxing and hypnotic to me. Try to drive like that in Madrid or Rome... people no respectful at all even with classic cars
Good video!
if at first you don't succeed..... Turn left XD
This car actually sounds rather happy at what is probably 65-70 mph. Has it got overdrive?
Also how fast have you gotten it up to before?
Yes she is very happy at high speeds.
Overdive 👍🏻 .
I accidentally went to 90mph once.
