I don't know in other latam countries, but here in Colombia we don't have a hook up culture, so the people you find that are open to meet and date complete strangers are probably not looking for something good, 90% of the time I would not trust the intention of those people, even if there are some people open to casual dating, but almost every one meet those dates through common friends, at the University, or some kind of activity groups. Plus, if you come with the passport bro mentality and attitude, 99% of the people who is going to approach you is either very dangerous for your life or just looking to get some money out of you and then moving on to the next one, and the other 1% would stop talking to you as soon as they notice the "passport bro" attitude.

@@junsu21If you go through Monday-Thursday to the clubs in Medellin, you will only find prostitutes. As a Colombian, if I had friends from the USA, believe me, I would tell them not to trust anyone there to start a love relationship or a date, there are women there who know everything, They are very mischievous and interested in money, they are not going to achieve a good love relationship and apart from breaking their hearts, it also breaks their pockets, especially the neighborhood women and/or prostitutes. Plus, if you come with the passport bro mentality and attitude, 99% of the people who is going to approach you is either very dangerous for your life or just looking to get some money out of you and then moving on to the next one, and the other 1% would stop talking to you as soon as they notice the "passport bro" attitude.

very interesting that you say there's no hookup culture in Colombia, or at least less of one. very surprising indeed. How does one find a date then? a bar?
@@junsu21If you go through Monday-Thursday to the clubs in Medellin, you will only find prostitutes. There is a prostitution culture in Colombia, because although illegal, it is found basically anywhere in Colombia, and specifically in Medellin prostitutes go exclusively during the week. As soon as Friday-Sat-Sunday come, you can go to the club and you can be able to link with a Colombian. AS LONG AS YOU KNOW SOME SPANISH, I must say. If you only know english and expect to have a safe (or authentic) connection with a local just forget about it. You will get scammed probably. Colombians are not interested in Americans like other countries are. They will see you as a catch based entirely on your personality, because if they want your money, they will just take it.
What exactly is a "passport bro" mentality?
As a Colombian, if I had friends from the USA, believe me, I would tell them not to trust anyone there to start a love relationship or a date, there are women there who know everything, They are very mischievous and interested in money, they are not going to achieve a good love relationship and apart from breaking their hearts, it also breaks their pockets, especially the neighborhood women and/or prostitutes. @@successfulMillennial doesn’t sound like it 🤷🏻♂️
@Tearflavoredcereal I didn't ask what you think I sound like. Take your L and go bro..
I’m Colombian. Probably 90% of the cases don’t even get reported. These men are Easy targets.
Nope. Let them go. Passport bros please sign up and go. Enjoy.
I can feel the bitterness 😂
@@Tearflavoredcereal nope happily married thank you. But American modern men with pookie tendencies never learn. As a woman from another country. We know how to spot the dumb ones
Sure miss those days where ppl just approach one another in real life. Regardless of the country, dating apps can be dangerous 😢
I mean, you could equally get murdered by someone you meet in a bar.
not "equally" no. you cannot. there is something humans have called intuition
you can tell when a situation or person or place is "bad news". something dating apps completely bypasses. you can only pick up these cues nonverbally and in real life.
@@angelika87 your intuition is naturally flawed in a foreign country. Guessing or feeling vibes is not going to cut it. You need a lot more than that. In your native country though, yes.
@@independenceradio sure but intuition is one of the things that are needed and at dating apps people can pretend to be anyone they want, so it's easier to be fooled
@@Juuxr Both have pros cons. In person, you have less time to think and react. Peer pressure is easier. On an app, you have way more time to think and react, and vet the person (requesting social media, friends, etc).
It's best to have a trusted local accompany you, whether random in person or a dating app. They know everything we can't see or know. When I traveled, I was with locals
Looks like all those passport bros are going to learn how to be good partners now as opposed to trying to find a disadvantaged woman in an economically disadvantaged country.
No the problem is coming to our south america they should just go to Thailand
You just go to a different country, I don't know why this is a shock to anyone Colombia has had one of if not the highest murder rates for decades
good partner to who? Western women?🥲
You're a FOOOL if you're using Colombia to judge their movement. Colombia along with Mexico have always been dangerous countries with high murder rates and police corruption. The fella just went to the wrong country, should have gone to his country of origin. Maybe Colombia is a lot convenient and closer to fly to and fro
@@rteddydaciusno one said it had to be western but going to any country and using hooking at red light distract is not how you will meet your wife
Can't trust anyone at all
so negative
Passport bros dying .
Good.
Stop going to foreign countries to find a mate. It’s literally the dumbest idea ever. If you take someone out of the environment that made them what you love and place them in the environment you hate, they will become what you hate. Humans adapt to their surroundings.
Environment you hate? Wow some giant leaps in assumptions there
Amen
Looking for a wife in a country that is infested with depravity is the dumbest idea ever! I met a girl in Colombia last month. I've known her for two years. Going back this year to get married. This is stupid people being irresponsible. I stayed at the hotel closest to the airport. Two rooms. She brought her grandmother. We got room service and barely left the hotel. Everyone was crying when we said goodbye.
@@leok7193 You’re free to believe what you want.
@@anti-validation Good luck.
Passport bros these streets aren’t as sweet as you think they are in these foreign countries. RIP
Passport Bros are in for a rude awakening, lol.
How gullible some men are
Rip passport bros. That foreign pootang is dangerous.
How sbout the Texas guy who went to Colombia and killed a Colombian woman, shoved her into his luggage and threw her out in the garbage.
Then had flights to go to Turkey.
So it goes both ways. Crazy people are everywhere
Passport Bros most likely - "western women are baaad, 3rd world women are different, blah blah"
All of South America is dangerous, and it is very risky when traveling.
And all those passport bros thought it was ganna be easy
This has made you happy I can tell. Let's hammer the victim so we can make a mockery out of "passport bros" You need to do better with your life. Every dog has its day.
