When I had my Catrike 559 I used the front under seat pocket to house my power brick that I used to keep my phone charged on long rides. Worked very well. Unfortunately I had to sell the trike and get a Hase delta due to fracturing left femur. Could no longer get out of the seat of the Catrike, even with assist bars.
I love the pockets on the cat track. I have also kept my power brick in there. I added a bag to the right side of my seat. I put my power brick in there now. Sorry to hear about your injury. Glad you're still able to ride
I purchased my CaTrike Expedition in late 2022. I went through a 3 level spinal fusion in 2015. I was slowly getting back into road cycling and gravel riding. I thought a Trike would be something to try. I am in the Chicago suburbs...I'd like to find other Trikers in my area...Sometimes in a group would be fun. I saw CaTrike does a video on a rear wheel change but they do it in a controlled environment on a bench. Maybe you can do a video on changing a rear tire on a road? Subscribed
I know where you're coming from with the back surgeries. I've had three of them. And yes they recumbent trike is the way to go. I love mine. Thanks for the suggestion. I think I will do that. You have a great day and ride on!
I actually have a video. It's not posted that I made years ago riding with my son on 100 mi day trip with my back brace still on on a two-wheeled recumbent.
Excellent setup. I ride a Catrike Villager. I liked seeing your sidebar setup. I've been thinking about different ways to do it as the TT bar is so expensive. Thanks.
You should look into the Kampway Pedals, I have them on my Catrike Dumont Trike and love them, can use any shoes you want. I'm 73 years old and want comfort and the clipless shoes and pedal cost to much. When I first got my Catrike the clipless shoes were $100 and I had to buy 2 sets so I already paid for the Kampway Pedals.
I did a 8 821km tour with my Ice Adventure 2 in Australia last year...this is what you need... Slumph Drive in the Front... Rholoff speed Hub at the back.. A Burley Nomad trailer.. 2 smaller side panniers. Ortlieb bladder or in Aus you 2 for water... You mount your camel back behind you on the rack for drinking water... And off you go....
That would be great! That sounds like so much fun. Do you have video of your trip I would like to check it out if you do. I have hopes of doing a long trip someday.
Great timing to see your video tonight! I have a CaTrike Trail and just got a Bryton Gardia 300L radar light and saw that you mounted your Bryton radar model on the end of your rear bike rack. My Gardia came with a mount that is made for a seat post on an upright bike and so the mounting part would put the Gardia in a horizontal orientation instead of the standard vertical orientation. -What did you use to get your radar light on your rack end? Did you find some third-party mounting bracket so your radar would be in the vertical mode? I liked and appreciate the walk-through of the accessories you're using - I have very similar options on my Trail. Again, much appreciated and hope to hear what you used for mounting your radar on your bike rack.
That's cool that happened. The best I remember there for little screws in that mounting bracket that came that you could take the head apart. So the mounting disc came apart from it then I use small nuts and bolts and hooked it to the rack. I'm on the road right now on my truck driver. I'll try to get a picture and a better memory of it when I get home. Have a great day!.

I'm sure you can come up with something. You just have to keep exploring different options. Have a great day and ride on!

I rode with clipless shoes on a road bike for years and feel very comfortable with them. I have seen what you were talking about. They look nice.

Thank you for the walk around
You're welcome! Hopefully this is helpful.
I have the same rack and I really like it and how the topeak trunk bags hook on.
Yes it has come in super handy.
nice review
Thanks!

Awesome! Thanks for the response - I’ll check it out!
Could not find a way on here to send pictures. Sent it to what I believe is your Facebook

Great video, I didn't know Catrikes had front fenders, was that a special order item?
At times they have them at bicycle on in at times not. I'm pretty sure for her villager we had to wait for them.
There is a bad feedback or something going on with the audio...
Ok thanks I'm working on getting that better. Still new at this.
