Even though it hurts a bit to see all the classics waiting to be taken apart, it's good to know that other classics can exist because of these spare parts. Thanks a lot for the video! 😊👍🏻
My grandfather used a MF 300 combine up until the late 90’s. Two row corn head and a 4 row bean head. He upgraded to a “big” MF 510 2 or 3 years before he retired.
I was impressed! I really enjoy equipment salvage yards. I am also impressed with how kept up the yard is. The rows of outdoor shelves was a little sketchy, but it was a great video. Don't hesitate to go into these yards when you can. Really enjoyed the aerial shots!
Awesome video Mike! So close and never knew he was there! Very interesting! Would love to see more videos like this or from actually dealerships as well!
Nice video . Definitely brings back memories when I was a kid and was so excited when as u said a BIG red combine was coming to cut the corn . Used to also play in the truck full of grain . To this day if I heard a combine coming down the road I’d wait and watch it going by in awe at the size of them these days . Thanks Mike . 👍🏻
It's a cool video as i have a Massey 510 Western Special in my shop but haven't used it in 20 years. As these machines die out the only use for these is to melt them down for new steel.
First combine that ever ran was a massy 90. Best one they ever made was 510 750 was good but then we went to ih 915 then 1460 Massey will always have a soft spot in my memory
My father in law still has a couple MF combines and has gotten parts from Skorpics in the past. If you're ever in north-central Missouri you should go visit Danny Bertsch in Bynumville and see all his Minneapolis Molines.
With parts prices being what they are, salvage parts are an affordable option for older machines. Sometimes new parts are no longer available...so you're best option is a trip to the salvage yard or someone with a parts machine.
My first job off the farm was running a 510 Massey (one of two) for a friend of my father that was a custom operator. that was summer of 1968. I can still hear those straight pipes of that 327 chevy power.
Thanks for rewaking vivid memories Mike! I was driving 510, 520, 525 and 620s in the late seventies for a custom cutter in south germany, we were at nearly 800 m above sea level and started the season at 90 m, some 250 north west from home in the rhine valley. I did my first season with 16 years…
I worked for a guy that had a 510 I believe. It was a gas engine with a straight pipe. The exhaust would glow red at night. Then he had a 750 and it was always easy to find because it smoked so much
Ran an 860 several years back in the 90's. When I was growing up in the 60's there was an MF distribution center in Pocatello Idaho, I remember a long row of forklifts in the yard.
Great video Mike. I had a 300 then I had a 550 they are both still running. I am just doing hay now days. Cool place. Yeah a dealership here had a MF loader and forklift a neighbor had a track loader and another had a MF log skidder. They couldn't have made many of them. Also my best friend they were MF people had a 510 combine and tractors and a backhoe. Thanks again.
If you stop the video at 6:04 the third combine from the end with the engine taken out which is a massey ferguson 510 combine that was actually my dads main combine till about 2010 when he bought a massey ferguson 850 out in iowa and in 2018 after running that 510 for the past 30+ years, Rod had contacted my dad and asked him if he was interested in buying a very nice low houred 850 he had just bought and dad ended up trading in that 510 combine you see for the second 850 that we still run and use every harvest.
That's wild! Lifetime of collecting. Your comment about being 7 years old.... I remember around 1970s when I was a kid combine would come to do our oats or barley, it seemed as big as our house. Belts and chains everywhere. Come to think of it cows seemed big, tractors all seemed big. Funny how perspective changes.
You gotta visit Mike’s Equipment at Buhler, Ks. Huge inventory on two sites, tractor / combines. Maybe ten long sheds of parts and tractors. Acres of inventory of many brands. Customers come from Utah, Mexico and myriad places around.
I used a MF forklift when I worked for a MF dealer in Ohio. Always thought the 750 combine was huge and fancy. That was 1978. The UA-cam Oliver66FarmBoy uses a White 7300 on his farm. Pretty cool to see this. Thanks
in comparison to the newest ccombines that you feature in your other movies this old bent and sometimes broken combiness wil give a nice view to look at
I don't think we're in need of parts right now, but ours is an 8570 (which some have told me is a White combine with a MF paintjob, but I don't personally know). Nice to see places like this; I'll always make time for wandering through a yard of any machinery.
White Combines were but I'm not sure about the Massey. The Massey rotor that was like the White Rotary was built in Brantford for a while but I don't know the entire history.
No, the name of the town is Kappa. There is a mens club in Kappa called Kappa Kabana. You don't want to go there. The MF collection is on the North side of town. Can't miss it.@@farmhandmike
Deutz Advertisement Videos? I work for the Deutz Distributor in the USA (PFG America AKA Power Farming Group) and film what I'm out doing. Deutz is not paying me to advertise for them.
Please take the time to do more of these historical videos- Lots of memories in those fields!!
Wow, I remember running those Massey combine thru the 60’s and early 70’s until we switched over to Deere.
Even though it hurts a bit to see all the classics waiting to be taken apart,
it's good to know that other classics can exist because of these spare parts.
Thanks a lot for the video! 😊👍🏻
Thanks Mike
My dad had Massey Ferguson combines.
It's good to revisit the past.
Thanks Mike 👍
Used to having 850 years ago. One of the best combines ever owned some days. I wish I still had that plain simple, easy to work on
My grandfather used a MF 300 combine up until the late 90’s. Two row corn head and a 4 row bean head. He upgraded to a “big” MF 510 2 or 3 years before he retired.
Wow that Family has been dealing in Massey for almost 80 years!!!!! 😮
Thank you for the information a person who collects old Massey combines needs this information.
Cool change of pace!
One slice of the past, fascinating. 👍
Brings back some memories. They were common here in the UK. More boneyards please Mike.
Well done!!! Thanks
Awesome video Mike, I would love to see more places like this when you run across them. VERY INTERESTING
Interesting place, what a find
History of feeding a country!
I run a 850 massey!!! And a 510
This was incredible! In the 70s a farm near me in Alabama had one of those combines and it worked hard. Thank you for such a great tour.
I remember running a first year production model 760 so this video was really neat to watch. Gret find and thanks!

Keep the videos coming really enjoy the variety Mike!
I liked 👍 another one of your videos. You are talented on things I like to see. Waiting for the next surprise. Happy subscriber 😊!
Nice to get a drone look of Tyndall. I worked at the elevator 53 years ago.
It's a cool video as i have a Massey 510 Western Special in my shop but haven't used it in 20 years. As these machines die out the only use for these is to melt them down for new steel.
That's an interesting yard😉👍
Places like this are important to keep the older machines running good👍👍
First combine that ever ran was a massy 90. Best one they ever made was 510 750 was good but then we went to ih 915 then 1460 Massey will always have a soft spot in my memory

Gas engine in a combine what a fire trap

Cool video!!! Like seeing the "old school" equipment.

thew 510 had a 327 chevy power with straight pipes
Excellent.
I love those old bone yards.
Thanks Mike. More of these videos.

Yes! Absolutely take more videos of places like this I would love to see it!

1981 / 860 Combine ! My grandpa had one !
I've gotten parts from Skorpiks for my 80 Massey Harris. I needed a grain pan
Thanks for sharing that information. I always appreciate when a viewer recognizes something in a video like that
@BuckeyeFarmer686 Yup not a problem!
Excellent brother 👍
I would love to see more videos like this ther are sure a lor of neat places to see thanks agin
Farmer Phil would like this place!! Greetings from Ireland....
That's wild! Lifetime of collecting. Your comment about being 7 years old.... I remember around 1970s when I was a kid combine would come to do our oats or barley, it seemed as big as our house. I would say anyone watching this with a Massy combine would be interested in getting in touch with these guys - nice video
Awesome video thanks
Still running a 510 works great
A neighbor farmer has about a half dozen 860s and at least 25 1155 tractors. You can hear those V8 Perkins scream from miles away!
Awsome video mike !!!!
This reminds me of the old aircraft boneyards
You gotta visit Mike’s Equipment at Buhler, Ks. Huge inventory on two sites, tractor / combines. Maybe ten long sheds of parts and tractors. Acres of inventory of many brands. Customers come from Utah, Mexico and myriad places around.
Looks like a big place, good video 👍
It was interesting😳😳😀😀😀
I have worked with Rodney for years. We rebuild Massey Ferguson small combines on our UA-cam channel. Great video!
I used a MF forklift when I worked for a MF dealer in Ohio. Always thought the 750 combine was huge and fancy. That was 1978. The UA-cam Oliver66FarmBoy uses a White 7300 on his farm. Pretty cool to see this. Thanks

i have seen MF forklifts but didnt know they made the 855 and 865 combine pretty sure they were all built in Brantford Ontario Canada
We ran 410 510 750 and an 855 , now we’re running 2 9650sts deeres
very cool !
I don't think we're in need of parts right now, but ours is an 8570 (which some have told me is a White combine with a MF paintjob, but I don't personally know).
Nice to see places like this; I'll always make time for wandering through a yard of any machinery.
You should go to Mike's Equipment Co in Buhler, KS. One of the biggest ag salvage yards in the Midwest
Great video
Thank you, that was interesting, I was wondering how they got the red paint on that refurbished model looking like almost new as red is known to fade.
Do more videos like that
Thanks Mike . We run MF combines.
I had a Massey 550 and an 850. Seemed like
was always fixing something on those two.
lt is really cool see some old MF combine ❤👍
Good video.
👍👍👍
That 865 massey was ours and we just sold it to him.
Thanks for the info. I though he told me a guy in New York bought it now.
South Sask Farmer would take a load outa this place for his 860
We had MFs all over the place growing up. I remember by dad combine with a Massey Harris 50 pulltype.
I like Mike less videos on UA-cam from the imperial county California 👍👍🇺🇲🚜
kind of sad to see all massey combines if come across more combine yards would be of interest
Great video very interesting to see the mf graveyard!
hey thats my house!!
It was ace
Man, if only that equipment could talk! The stories would be awesome to listen to. I have seen MF forklifts several times overall the years.
😎😎
Didn't know they made an 865.
Very interesting Mike, great video.
Like the Whites, I imagine that the majority of those MF's were also made up here in Brantford, Ontario.
Were these all made in Brantford, Ontario?
White Combines were but I'm not sure about the Massey. The Massey rotor that was like the White Rotary was built in Brantford for a while but I don't know the entire history.
I beleive that all the combines from the model 300 and up and some European models were all built at the BRANTFORD Plant
Does he have any Ferguson tractor parts?
Avete la MF 99 ...?
There is a much larger collection of MF tractors in Kappa, Illinois
Okay is it called the Kappa Kabana?😂😂
No, the name of the town is Kappa. There is a mens club in Kappa called Kappa Kabana. You don't want to go there. The MF collection is on the North side of town. Can't miss it.@@farmhandmike
Google maps will show it on RT. 251@@farmhandmike
If you see more places like this you should stop and film them. I like these a lot more than your advertisement videos for Deutz!
Deutz Advertisement Videos? I work for the Deutz Distributor in the USA (PFG America AKA Power Farming Group) and film what I'm out doing. Deutz is not paying me to advertise for them.
I’ve seen MF forklifts, few backhoes, some MF dozers but never a skidder
Only 860
Larson farms has a mf forklift!!
feederhouses must be the weak link.......... lot of missing feederhouses, lol
MFcanadense ok 😂😂
No mf combines made anymore in canada only john deere gleaner international left
I wouldn’t think there’s any big demand for 30+ yr old combine parts, this smells more like hoarding syndrome 😅
