It's really good that there's a youtuber (that speak english) that still make this videos, or videos of dofus in general. Really educational video for elio class. Keep the good job 👍
Just started using an Elio so this is helpful. Trying to play it solo some so I get the hang of it in groups. So far early on when there were two portals it was easy to do damage through them but was getting confused when more came into play, thank you.
I didn't properly learn what I wanted to, which is where do you wind up in a portal(If you go through a portal, which portal do you wind up, I wanted the rules for that but couldn't properly understand through this), but I did learn the one thing about the portal that I know existed, but didn't know how to do, as well as a lot of other awesome tricks, thanks.
When you walk into a portal, you will end up at the target portal which is the same as if u casted a spell through the portal and comes out of that target portal.
You didn't talk about how : -Yes, equidistant portals act clockwise, but symmetrical portals act COUNTER clockwise -There is a rule when 3 portals are the same distance, the redirection will use the smallest path possible (which can be either clockwise or counter clockwise -If you hit your totem, it will place a portal underneath you and teleport you (using the rules above) -If your totem is on the map, and you enter a portal, if will heal you 3% of you maximum HP. -If the totem dies, all portals it created will disappear (can be all 4 in some cases) -You didn't talk about the exodus spell ; which you can use in a portal and not close it if an entity is 1 square away from your portal. -You didn't talk about the contraction spell, which places a portal underneath the enemy and teleports it using the rules of the portals. -You didn't talk about the streching spell, which gives an extra 2 range to your portal placement and spells. -You didn't mention that it's 2% extra damage per square between all your portals (exemple : 16 square between the portals it's (25% base damage + 32% (16 x 2%) = 57% extra damage for a 16 square redirection) Really dissapointed at this ''tutorial'', nobody is going to get better with the class watching this video. Good luck to all
Hey, Epiphany is there any way we could get an updated Osa guide? So much has changed and I have a lot of questions about how the new Favoritism spell works and the different ways Osa can be played.
Correct me if i'm wrong here but I don't recall the actual "distance" between portals to be what effects the damage of the spell, just the amount of portals it goes through.
It's not the number of portals it goes through, it's the distance which the spell travels through portals. When putting your mouse on a portal, there are some lines connecting between each portal to another. The longer these lines are, the more damage the spell does
I'm still unable to understand it. Finding it hard to learn. It's been a day. Placing portals according to the enemies position is hard for me. Any tips?
Fantastic video Epiphany - always a HUGE fan anytime you upload a video. Quick question... I've thought about creating an Elio, but always struggle on deciding which element to go with. I'm strictly a PvE player... do you have any recommendations? How are they as an 'omni' option for endgame? I only ask, because I recently got an Almanax Dofus, and kind of looking for an Omni class to put it on. :-) Thanks again, Benjamight
I am not expert with the usefulness of pve eliotropes. Each element seems to be unique in its own way. Omni is bad because overall your damage each spell is weaker than if you are 1 single element
good tutorial overall except clokwise rule does not work for elio portals when they are equal distance fyi you just got lucky there are several other rules for them but its complicated to teach without images
@@MisteryTr The photo follows the rule. Portal 4 goes to Portal 3 because it is at the "12 o'clock" position which is the very first when it comes to clockwise. Then it goes to portal 1 (closest) then portal 2

I found this helpful, i never understood what ellios were doing half of the time
Been waiting 5 years for an updated portal video. Thanks, man.

Thank you very much, i didn't know about the clockwise part.
No worries

@@TheEpiphany Thank you, I also tested it out a little and figured it out, at least now it's 100%
Such a great video, watching it for the 2nd time already.
I know how elio works. Yet I still watch the video because I watch all your videos :) good explanation.
You didn't talk about how :
-Yes, equidistant portals act clockwise, but symmetrical portals act COUNTER clockwise

-If you hit your totem, it will place a portal underneath you and teleport you (using the rules above)
-If your totem is on the map, and you enter a portal, if will heal you 3% of you maximum HP.
-If the totem dies, all portals it created will disappear (can be all 4 in some cases)
-You didn't talk about the exodus spell ; which you can use in a portal and not close it if an entity is 1 square away from your portal.
-You didn't talk about the contraction spell, which places a portal underneath the enemy and teleports it using the rules of the portals.
-You didn't talk about the streching spell, which gives an extra 2 range to your portal placement and spells.
-You didn't mention that it's 2% extra damage per square between all your portals (exemple : 16 square between the portals it's (25% base damage + 32% (16 x 2%) = 57% extra damage for a 16 square redirection)

very nice i miss your videos
Unfortunately don't have much time to play Dofus anymore

Will be my next video
I am excited to come back to the game after friking exams

I cannot give anymore tips, the only way would be to watch videos of pvp fights of expert eliotropes

If portals are equal distance, that's when the clockwise rule applies
No not all the time, for example check this : www.zupimages.net/up/20/13/wuie.png
