Mine are designed a little differently. Just had to take a small flat screw driver and it easily pried open without having to remove the leathery part. Had I tried pulling it out I would have torn it. Also had some jammed buttons.
Did you get it reassembled yet? And were you able to fix the button problem? I've heard *a lot* of people complain about JLab headphones button problem so idk if I should buy them Edit: like literally everyone in the comment section has the button problem too 💀now I'm really not sure if I should buy JLab headphones
@@biq yes and no, I was able to fix it briefly but I guess the button was just busted, broke again soon after. Kinda just gave up and told myself to not buy Jlab again.
This is interesting. The family already had two of these headphones to button problem, usually in around a year. Which is a shame: they are good and very comfortable.. I don’t have any money to buy new ones, and I absolutely hate to treat them as a disposable item.
what you can do is contact them show that you have damaged headphones follow their steps and you can get free of however much the headphones were so you can buy them back! That’s what I did
@@norinz_ How long do these last? I dont really want to buy these if I get a button problem too (I have JLab Go Air Pop right now, and I'm thinking about destroying them to get that refund to buy JLab headphones, JLab Play Pro Gaming)
Seems like this has happened to my daughters headphones too. She has jlabs studio bt ones. Anyone know if it's cheaper/easier to fix them or just buy more/a different brand. She needs them for school and can not have in ear ones due to a medical condition.
Am I the only person who has had their headphones take themselves apart? I literally got them out of my bag and saw their inner workings. (I’ve had to use AirPods, not the most comfortable things to use so I might just get new JLabs)
Earpads are actually fairly easy to reattach. The first thing you needs to do is stretch it out gently on all sides. Then using both hands work the flap into the proper Channel. Once it's in there keep it in place with your fingers and just work your way around until it's properly in place. One you know how to do it, it only takes about 3 minutes. Unfortunately once these pads become detached their likely to become detached again. Put two drops of superglue on it and it will stay in place. I have six pairs of wireless headphones and this is a common problem.
Am here because the volume button has now become basically useless as it now only goes up even when pressing down. Honestly disappointed with these headphones, they're comfortable to wear but the buttons are so poorly designed it's such a bummer, which sucks because they're a layout I like and not some irritating touch ones.
@@alanjohnsonbmw Yeah the piece that the top part of the button makes contact with probably broke off, happened to my volume down button. It's such poor build quality especially compared to many other brands that can take far more of a beating without such issues.
Thanks man! Your video helped me fix my JLabs. They're my favs and I really didn't want to replace them. Now I don't have to :D

Thanks a bunch for this vid, saved me from potentially screwing up my headphones when I opened them up readajust a stuck power button

Thanks for the video. Let us know if you get them working again.
My power button got loose from the rest and I'm at school with unusable headphones...
Same here. A poor design like that is honestly inexcusable.
Yeah its stupid
Happened to me too

Same here 🤦
Great short video of exactly what i needed, so thanks for that 🙂
You need to get yourself some plastic trim tools. Thank you for the disassembly tips.
I worry about my product when the video to fix it guy says stuff like "just jam it in there."

Speaker got jangled but im too scared to open them cause i have a tendency to break stuff
I'm scared to remove the earpads because I'm not sure if I'll be able to reattach them well
