Thank you for this video! I've often wondered about these tumblers. I've never made an epoxy tumbler, but I've always wanted to try it. I will definitely try now.
I bought one, and the threads were stripped the first time I attempted to put it together. Instead of returning it, I just glued the parts together! It’s much sturdier. But it turns very slowly compared to my other turners. And you can’t reverse direction. I use it for my UV resin pens. Works great for that. And as others mentioned, it would be good if the power goes out and you happen to be right in the middle of making a tumbler! 😬
I had boughten these too. I ended up using 4 of them & made 30 tumblers fot my kids & grandkids & great grandkids. Tumblers. Used the dollar Tree $5 Tumblers & it all worked great. Was surprised that the batteries lasted longer then I thought would. Loved their resin kits too. I din'y think I have ever stirred their resin rven 2 min. It worked great. Otherwise it worked way above expections. I loved it, but kinda hate glitter after 30 cups....lol
I bought one and it worked well for a long time until it fell apart. I used good batteries and I let it run for days. If you live in an area that is subject to power outages, this turner is good to have as a backup. For $5, it's not a bad investment for a professional tumbler maker.
Well for me who’s a casual user it might be fine except for the falling off…I ordered some new foam pieces and will try the shelf liner trick. I also ordered more plastic cups to measure the epoxy (MUCH cheaper on Amazon with more measure lines so I can make less epoxy). And finally, I can use the pieces from this one on a Turner my husband built for his fishing lures he makes adapting it for my cups.
Put some shelf liner over the foam and stuff it into the cup (a rubber glove will work in a pinch). They will fall off, especially as the foam gets condensed and worn. ~~I could see this being a great save for when the power goes out. Having one or two on hand with fresh batteries would be ideal if cups are spinning when outages happen 👌. ~~Even slow setting resin should be good to turn off at 4 to 5 hours. Once it’s pretty much gelled it’s not going anywhere. Thanks for sharing! I found great value in your video 🌹💯. Ps. A good rule for resin amounts to mix is 1ml per ounce of cup. So if the cup is 20 oz mix 20mls and so on.
Thanks! Good to know about the shelf liner…I’m going to try that…I have a champagne flute I’d like to epoxy but hesitated after the second coat run on the glittered cup resulted in 2 fall offs.
Thanks for sharing. I was wondering about those. Just as I was about to mix up some resin, my power went out. It would have been nice to have a battery powered turner.
I would if I were you…I got mine to work but it would come apart before everything was finished messing up the epoxy. It did make me want to get a real one tho!!! I’m saving my pennies!
What dollar tree do you guys go to because in Michigan our dollar trees only sell things at $1.25 max and there are no tumbler turners. We have stores like family dollar that sell things at higher prices, but not a dollar tree. They don't sell the resin either 😳
Down here, south Louisiana, we have Dollar Tree Plus! in all our stores. So in addition to the $1.25 items, there’s also $3 and $5 items too. The turner is $5 so was the epoxy I used.
That seems to be the pattern. I had somebody else tell me that they try to of them and they didn’t work and then I’ve bought two and they both worked… There’s that’ll say and you get with your pay for but so far they’re working out OK for me I don’t use them very often. Thanks for watching!

Thank you for sharing!!!! I wish it wasn’t battery operated, but it’s still a great price.

You could hard-wire it (add an electric cord from something else you're not using just make sure you one with comparable input/output)

It works make sure you use Duracell or energizer batteries

They are definitely good for that. I don’t find they run the batteries down fast either.
Only thing I can think of, it might save a Tumbler your working on if the Electricity goes out!
Lol yes!!! Though I tell you the battery thing scares me ….they are expensive, what if they die mid tumble and I’m out of AA….gives me anxiety!!!!
Yes it does work ! Just the foam and the arm its self is worth it !
So, that was what I thought…even if the motor wasn’t worth it I could use the parts with a motor my husband has to turn.
Also for your champagne flute they make other foam pieces all different sizes that may fit your flute better.
Amazon?
I purchased one and its really slow which doesn't bother me, but I couldn't find a tiny screwdriver so my screws aren't in tight!
Oh no! I had a few tiny screwdrivers laying around to get in battery compartments of toys. Are the insight screws causing problems?
Thank you for watching!

Found one today,I did the ⁵5 I'm curious!
I have 2 now!
The black screw you put on the rod first should it be turned so it fits inside the roller!
Thanks!
I am on my 2nd Dollar Tree tumbler, and it wouldn't come on. I just got the 2nd one today(1-28-23). I'm gonna take it back tomorrow.
I would if I were you…I got mine to work but it would come apart before everything was finished messing up the epoxy. It did make me want to get a real one tho!!! I’m saving my pennies!
Mine won't come on at all.

I bought one yesterday at Dollar tree in Dallas some Dollar tree stores have it some don't $5.
I'm in Pa and our Dollar Trees in my area don't have a $5 section either.
But there's always buying it online
I bought one of these and didn't. Work so retune red it got another one ....🙄 and it didn't work Solo I gave up lol

Mine didn’t
Nope. You shouldn't have any extra screws.
😅
This is No Go
get a pool noodle and shave it down to size
Way toooooo much epoxy. Foam didn't fit and too many mistakes. Never leave alone
Yep I agree! By the second and third go round I had reduced the epoxy and adjusted the foam. I’ve since ordered various foam sizes.
They are slow
Yes I agree! Thanks for watching!
Is that all you do is talk
