Thanks for this thorough review, and especially for letting the harp speak for itself. I think it sounds terrific. I have been agonizing over all the beginner's choices and you have definitely sold me, I think it will be a Sharpsicle for me. Thanks again, excellent review. Hope you're enjoying your harp journey!

very helpful review. I've been thinking of getting a harpsicle as my second harp - mostly for grab and go anywhere playing... something my 12 kilo harp just doesn't do as easily as I'd like. Thoroughly enjoyed your overview. Think you touched on all the essentials.

Great fun! My grand-daughter, a Bavarian girl was taught 'folk' instruments at school. This included the Hammered Dulcimer (my late wife played this also) zither, and harp. This is about midway between a concert harp and your new one. Long ago I had a 2 row Hohner and my first mate (a Finn) and I used to play/sing for our own amusement as we plodded across the Indian Ocean. Bavarian Radio is encouraging these 'Junge' groups by putting many on UA-cam. So your vlogs are probably more use than you realize!!

I am on my second harpsicle. Well i had a pink harpsicle which i imported from Rees harps. I then started a harp group which plays folk music so i needed the levers on the sharps so i then purchased a natural sharpsicle. It came with the wound bass strings. It is a great harp. I have taken it to quite a few places and like to take it on holiday with me. Lovely video. Hope you have your grand harpsicle now.

Thank you Kerry. Yes I love my Harpsicle. Rees Harps are a great company. I'm looking forward to getting back to my harp after the summer break. The Grand Harpsicle is still only a dream I'm afraid!! Lots of luck with your playing and thanks for your interest.

The sound is so beautiful, I think you've just convinced me of buying one. Harps on the market are just so expensive and I really want to learn this instrument. Would you say it is fit to play more traditional tunes like celtic music ?

Would this instrument work as a continuo for flute or recorder?

Hi, I hope you are still enjoying to play the harp. Since you had your harp for a while, I guess you have improved a lot.
I have a special request and I have been looking for a harp cover of the Beatles song "octopus's garden". So far I couldn't find anyone to play it online or live. However I would like it a bit slower than the original to walk down the aisle... And maybe to learn to play it on the harp in a few years. (At the moment I'm thinking about learning to play the harp.)
I have seen your cover of this song on the melodeon. So I really hope, that you could help me. Thank you very much in advance!
