"Chucky, why are you laughing?" 😂 Vionna, this is such a lovely video! I learned so much. I had no idea about the cultural connection with the ZZ plant. I have several and, because of you, I now love them even more and want to spread them throughout our home. I was relieved to see you trim the bromeliad the same way I do, as I wasn't quite sure I was tackling that correctly. Please show us the pussy willow again later after her catkins open! How long do you leave these same blessings on your plants, all year and renew next lunar new year? Thank you for sharing! Happy New Year 🐇❣️
Chucky kept giggling every time I said “fok” 🤣. Aww yes ZZ plants are really big in our culture!! I appreciate them because they’re so easy to care for!! My pussy willow already has buds turning green 😮idk what that means but I’m so excited to see what happens !?💚 Happy new year to you too 🧧🐇
Happy new Chinese Luna year to you, Vionna. You were one of my favourite new channel finds in 2022. May you go from strength to strength with your chosen endeavours.
AW, the UA-cam light looks good! Love all your decorations for the new year. Very festive. Wow, never heard of the pussy willow. haha great name too! Happy year of the rabbit! hop hopping along nicely I hope!
I did not know daffodils are toxic! In my country (Netherlands) they grow outside in spring. They are planted of course, but it's really cool to see fields full of them.
Netherlands have the best flowers!! I almost bought some home if i could carry it back to the USA ahaha. It's really nice to see them pop up in the early winter, it means spring is coming soon!!
The more water you give the Daffodil, the higher it will get, with the risk of bending over. There is actually enough water in the bulb for it to bloom, and you don't need to water it at all. I always have Hyacinths for Christmas, and they last for weeks without additional water!
Karin thanks for the great tips! This is my first time growing these and I noticed yesterday that some leaves were bending over. Appreciate any more tips on how to make them last longer 🤣💚
@@FelineJungle You're welcome! These type of plants do not last for a long time indoors unfortonately. Once they've bloomed, I usually just throw them away. If you have a garden, you can cut it down and plant the bulb, and it will bloom again next spring.
I see! right now the leaves are getting super long. I'm waiting for the flowers to start forming. I'll definitely try to plant it out doors. i love seeing them pop out in early spring. thank you!
I’m here bc I work at plant shop and a Chinese lady asked me if a certain plant was lucky, and I said “I don’t know” and she said “it’s cultural” and I knew that! But I don’t know what makes a plant lucky and why some plants are and some aren’t!?! I absolutely love that cultural ideal and I want to learn alll about it! Unfortunately I didn’t have the right words to talk to the woman today bc no matter which way I asked I think it came off as condescending 😢
@@FelineJungle thank u thank you! I'm originally from NY. I just told my best friend let's take a trip to China town. She lives in Brooklyn! Thank u again for you quick response!
