These are not just horrible bosses, they are horrible people.
A lot of these situations are illegal in most states and ALL developed countries other than the USA.
Thank Goodness I don’t live in a country like this! We respect the humanity of our workers in New Zealand.
*looks at only bad examples*
"MAN THIS PLACE IS TERRIBLE!"
Where the hell do you work and are they hiring 😂 oh I'm in central Otago BTW where I have had three of the worst jobs of my life
These people wonder why unions exist.
when my father suddenly passed away.i took berevement leave and took my company truck, that was assigned to me,home like i did every single day.my supevisor bitched me out for it.i told him to put it in writing and make it an official reprimand.he declined, just like i thought he would.yes.union job.dick move on my supervisors part.my union sent condolenses and flowers(?),not a word from management.
My union exists solely to screw people with legit grievances in exchange to get away with felonies for themselves and friends.
YIKES ... Every damn one of those bosses deserve a "Darwin Award".
I don't think you understand what a Darwin Award is.
Most of it is illegal in the US, too. But here, people just quit instead of reporting it and bosses keep doing it because they're not held accountable.
Know your rights. Insist on them.
but just WHO are you going to report them to....?
EVERY time i've reported anything to a State agency , NOTHING was ever done.
I keep trying to leave a comment and it keeps getting wiped away. PEOPLE! Stand up for your basic rights and REFUSE to accept abusive treatment. You may lose the job, but it's a crap job anyway. "Managers" are just former line employees looking for an easy way out so they won't have to do your grunt work. Support efforts to unionize like the Mercedes factory workers in Alabama hoping to improve their working conditions.
Starbucks, too
@@K.Spade7902 If not for yourselves, do it for your kids and grandkids.
I suffered a miscarriage a few hours before I had to go into work. Had my husband call my job from the hospital and let them know what was happening. The lady in charge that day said I would need a doctor’s note. When I handed her said doctor’s note, her response was “oh good you’ll be back on Thursday” (2 days later). I quit shortly after.
Oh my goodness, that’s despicable. You’re better off out of there. I’m so sorry you lost your bubby. Big hugs 🥰
I know I’ll see them again someday. Plus a year later, God blessed my husband and I with a beautiful little boy, followed by his sister a year and a half later.
I have some great memories of quitting jobs.
Screwing a window shut is fatal a fire hazard omg!!! What is wrong with people!!
A few years ago, my daughter was working for Target. She was scheduled to work on a Saturday afternoon. Unfortunately, my husband was working outside, cutting down a tree. He fell from the 20-plus foot tree. We called 911. My daughter called Target to let them know what happened. She explained to them that she needed to stay home with her young siblings while I went to the hospital with her father. They heard the sirens in the background. They kept asking her. "Are you sure you can't come?" She said no. " So you are not coming because your father fell from a tree?" Are you sure you can't come in?" They could hear the paramedics treating my husband and the sirens as they drove him to the hospital!
As if she was telling them a lie. She quit the following week!
7:02 I would have quit if I was told I couldn't turn my headlights off!
Ridiculous!
Such horrible bosses! Real life is more important than bosses power trips!!! Smh!!!
Seen some of these before, but every time I see something like this, I am so glad I don't work in America. A lot of this just would not fly in the UK, some of it is straight up illegal! Any boss that tried this sh*t over here would rapidly find himself without employees. The thing that puzzles me most is when they expect people to find their own replacements for missed shifts. That is 100% the manager's responsibility over here. 3:02. I would have just cold cocked the boss and walked away, never to return.
America needs to unionize, the American workers needs to organize.
I don’t know if some of the bosses are just frustrated or they just don’t possess the skills or ability or qualities of a good boss
Our office was being painted. The boss of the painting crew told my boss that I wasn't at the office. I was at the office, but the head of the painting crew was not. My boss asked me about it. I was and am offended. I have never not been where I was supposed to be when I was supposed to be there.
They wonder why no one wants to work any more....
My Mother in law passed years ago when I worked for a major courier company, think purple and orange logo, my boss told me I could only take one day off. My wife only took one day as she didn’t want to be home during that time. A month or so later he told me it should have been three days and I could take the other two but it had to be ‘this week’. The only other driver that knew my route was on vacation.
At 7:45 I would have replied, “*you’re” and never replied again lol
I had a boss that got angry and took action against me after I left to go to the hospital and see my father, From a 4 hour overtime shift, a 16+ hour day, because he had a heart attack. Actual quote, "it's not like you didn't know it was coming " referencing his age...
I work for an ambulance company.
Most of this is illegal in Europe.
and canada
So glad I don't live in the US!
I'm afraid any boss who treated me like that would have faced the worst, !! I'd have just walked away, leaving him lying there 😮🤣😂
I had the best boss ever for over 20 years, (though a bit loco)... Myself.
Retired at 50 too...😂
Damn. There’s a lot of Wow going on here.
(Laughs in European)
9:20 is also illegal.
Many of these are illegal in the USA as .
so just WHO exactly are you going to report it to...?
@@csnide6702 OSHA mostly. There is a big poster visibly posted - for employees - in most buildings that tell you who and how.
@@nathanielkliewer1739 as I understood it OSHA was mostly for unsafe working conditions - not illegal "policy" that so many companies take advantage of workers with - they need to be held accountable when policy violates law.
10:52 Ah, the land of the free! You want to get yourself some decent employment laws like the rest of the developed world has.
Not to sound cold or uncaring but if your boss is part of a big company. Go to HR. Get a paper trail. Keep records.
If it's a small business, quit. Crush that company.
I know it sounds easier said than done but things are like this because people get over leveraged and can't risk quitting. Get yourself set up.
HR works to cover the company's ass - they are NOT there for you.
There is absolutely NOBODY to report any of these violations to.
HR doesn't give a shit about you. The purpose of HR is to protect the company, it's profits and keep lawsuits away from the table.. not to help you.
These are quite illegal
It seems that slavery has not been abolished in the US at all and they are proud of it.
9:20 I used to work at a place that was federally funded. Every year a complete salary list was posted for all to see.
I think that's required, at least online now, for each position and salary for federal employees. It's also illegal to ban people from talking about their pay.
ask any 80 year old - they will tell you .... " Nobody wants to work anymore".
A couple of these where the boss forgot to tell the employee something might not be that bad. The one where they told the employee to put a bucket under the leak and then ceiling tiles fell down. What did you want the boss to do? Even if they called someone to look at it they likely wouldn’t be there immediately and it’s not a guarantee that a manager of a business is going to have any clue what they are looking at on the roof or the ceiling. The rest of these would have been followed with me quitting immediately. There are so many jobs out there currently that I don’t need to put up with this sort of thing.
A lot of these seem fake.
The US is hilarious - except for the people who have to live and work there. Not funny for them 🙁
You should never discuss your pay. It just starts an argument
It's illegal to not be allowed to talk to coworkers or anyone about your pay. Plus, it keeps things competitive if you do bc the other person then knows how to get the higher pay they desire.
2:55 Blocked fire exit at one of my jobs. I never said anything because I was worried I'd be fired.
If you did get fired make sure to leave by the blocked fire exit.
Many of these are bogus.
