For anyone who missed them I would also really reccomend Braid, Head Count, The Wind, Knives and Skin, Little Joe, and Sweetheart.

I See You was one of the BEST movies I’ve ever seen!! I ALWAYS ALWAYS predict what’s going on & usually the end but I didn’t see this coming. What a phenomenal movie I’d recommend to any thriller/mystery fan. Great movie!!

You should check out Villains (2019) Emma! Bill Skarsgard and Maika Monroe 😍 Its a fun and dark, horror comedy that flew under the radar.
I saw it a couple weeks back!
Gwen (2019) is an underrated movie, it has the same vibe as Hagazussa (2019) and is a better movie for me.Heartbreaking ending...

I enjoyed antrum. But 2 hours after watching it i deleted the movie. I had a fire break out at my job 2 hours after watching . May not have been connected. But sure freaked me out a little lol
Antrum is absolute trash. The editing keeps you braced for something to come but nothing ever does. There's barely a story, and what there is makes no sense. They had to add a mockumentary to pad out the movie. So so bad.
The Cleaning Lady is outstanding!
This year I’ve moved more towards horror short films. Having watched hundreds in 2019 many of them are great. I don’t know how you can review these as they do get straight to the point.

YES! Finally, someone talking about "Freaks" - really enjoyed this one. It's flawed, but I really liked the idea behind it and how different it was. Plus, really good performances in that one as well. Personally, I gave it an 8/10. My hidden gem of the year is definitely "One Cut of the Dead" - movie is AMAZING, not just for horror fans, but also for film fans and filmmaking nerds in general. SO GREAT!

Just finished “I See You” a few minutes ago based on your recommendation.
Wow! Holy hell this movie truly keeps you on edge throughout!
It IS a mystery per se, but it felt like a horror movie. Without giving away spoilers, just know that what you see during the first half of the movie is NOT what it seems. Whew! It kept me looking over my shoulder many times during the movie.
Well done recommendation! I haven’t seen ur other recommendations on this video but I’m looking forward to watching them.

1. I love a good hidden gem list, and you are correct in that these lists are some of the most important for your viewers - we like to know which films are good, but telling us about the films we missed out on really goes a ways to making life more enjoyable for horror fans.
2. Case in point - I love Helen Hunt but had no idea that I See You even existed. Can't wait to see it.
3. I would love a best of the decade list.

I watched I See You lastnight, Really good and loved the music throughout and some parts reminded me of The Open House and Summer of 84, Thanks for letting me know that this movie existed, Had never heard of it!

Watched Luz after the previous video, and despite being semiconfused for a bit there, really enjoyed it. Short run time makes it pretty rewatchable, too. It's on Shudder over here, for US folk wanting to see it. A best-of for the decade would be great (and helpful).

Nice list! I actually found the Nightmare Cinema to be strangely satisfying. There are some lame horror anthologies, but really dug this one.

It’s a banger. Refreshing change of pace from the recent trend of mega slow burners/psycho horrors with insanely complex and ambiguous plots. Sweetheart is great as well
Just finished watching I See You after seeing this video yesterday and oh my gosh!!
One of the best movies I've watched in a veeeery long time. And probably one of the best plots I've actually ever seen in a horror/thriller movie!

Nice List, Emma :-) Haven´t seen Two Heads Creek and Freaks yet, but all the others :-) Harpoon was a nice little pitch black Thriller...I prefer Dead Calm and Donkey Punch when it comes to familiar stories but it was nevertheless very entertaining! I See You was extremly well done but it´s one of those movies that I enjoyed although I´m not sure if the story made much sense in the end :-D I will also highly recommend The Dead Center when it comes to overseen gems...gave me the chills!

I just started watching your videos and had seen I See You on my Amazon prime for a bit but didn't really care to watch it until I saw this video. And HOLY SHIT is that movie dam good! It's the first time I'd been left speechless by a movie in a very long time. Wow. Didn't see any of the twists coming and it was dam great! Thank you :))

The best way to do a best of the decade list is to write down the best of the best from each year and go from there. When I did mine, 4 unintentionally ended up being from 2010.
Wikipedia’s 20xx In Film sections are the best way to refresh yourself with what was released.
I think ill have to do it that way for sure!

Regarding Harpoon, what a great film!! Reminds me of Danny Boyle's Shallow Grave. If you've not seen that, highly recomended.
I recommend you to watch Belzebuth, it's a Mexican horror movie about possession, as a person who normally hates possession movies, I really liked this one, I was pleasently surprised

I really liked I See You, totally didn't see that coming. Maybe in a second view it's more obvious, but those twists surprised me at first. Also, I really dug Satanic Panic, fast-paced, kinda ridiculous but entertaining.

I'm a new subscriber, if you have seen this please disregard this comment, but another good movie that people overlook is The Orphanage (2007). It's not in English and a lot of people don't like having to read subtitles, but I absolutely loved the movie and it was different from everything else that had come out.

Not a horror film, but have you seen the movie Wheels from 2014? I just saw it last night and thought it was really good for a low budget indie film. It's 9.2 on IMDB with 17k ratings.
Best of the decade sounds good, and I like the idea of one from every year. Some interesting titles on this list that definitely pique my attention.
