Was it the pond water itself or the water supply straight after the filters (before entering the pond) you were testing? I also have the Evolution dechlorinator for a 2000 gal pond and not overly convinced it is working correctly? I was looking to do exactly the same as you, so thank you for the video.
Hi, it was the pond water originally that I tested but i didn’t film this. The video showed the water straight after the filters once the cartridges had been changed
Hi good video as usual mate, Can I ask where you purchased the dechlorinator unit from. I'm using a evolution aqua unit at the moment on my 3000 gallon pond and had my doubts about it for a while. Think I'll change over to that type you use. How often do you need to change the cartridges and what sort of flow rate can they cooe with. Regards Andy
Thanks mate I use this one queni-koi.co.uk/vyair-dechlorinator-filter-unit---20-inch-3828-p.asp Change the cartridges every year and flow rate of around 4000litres per week
@@madaboutkoi Thanks pal. Dealing with on and off reading of 0-6 ppb of total chlorine at the moment. Might be interested in my new vid. Still learning what is going on in my pond.
Did you put those 1 inch to 15mm push fit on either end of your filters. I want to do the same as I have crappy hozelock connections that always leak. If so where did you get them from please. Thank you.

Great, thank you, I'll get some of the dpd4 tablets and test my evolution filter before entering the pond (just for peace of mind)

Thanks, I will get some of those dpd4 tablets. Is there a chart to compare the results and show the amount of chlorine?
Hi matey
A positive result is no good its as simple as that. It should have no chlorine at all. Hope that helps.
@@madaboutkoi Have to get me some of these dpd4 too.
Hi mate, what total chlorine reading are you getting your hanna meter off the vyair and the pond?
Hi mate,
Im using a big blue now. Will test tomorrow and let you know

Hi Simon
They came supplied with the unit. I would have a look on the vyair website or give them a call mate if you have the same type of unit
Thanks for the reply. I have 10 inch units. I will certainly give them look. Cheers.
Great looking setup as well. Cracking fish, well done.
Thanks matey, appreciate the feedback 👍🏻
Ohh and by the way they are 15mm to 15mm 👍🏻
@@madaboutkoi No I mean the bit that screws into the cartridge, it's 1in on the side of mine. Hope that makes sense. Cheers
Do they take the chloramines out
Hi Brian, yes they do 👍🏻
Sorry meant cope with !!
