Hi Your videos are a blessing.
    I wake up every morning.
My head is banging I'm long a time heath suffer. Just watching one of your videos and listening to your voice. Makes my relax just for as
long as it lasts. It's enough for my head to settle. I must have watched all you videos over over and over again. I look out for you alert to come up so I can watch it the following morning. Thanks for helping with my head every morning and please 🙏 carry on posting 📫
I had my own pond but now I'm kept in a dingy old care home. They let me have my dog and a 5 gal tank but that's it. I wish I could have time to sit and feed some wonderful koi.
You will understand when you get old like me. (89) No-one wants a old fart around taking up their time.
Thank-you again your voice is so calm. 🐟🐟🐟🐟

Great run through of everything. You need to press the top button (Units) on the guardian to read TDS, the light will be green next to TDS matey. Wish I had one, maybe one day but not this year. Have fun with all the new gear. Thanks for sharing. Cheers.

@@just4koi143 You have probably calibrated it correct. You are just displaying the wrong unit, press the top "Unit button" and it will toggle through, when the green light is next to TDS leave it there and that will display your TDS matey. Can't wait for the new shower video. Cheers.

Hi lau TDS is short for total dissolved solids which is a culmination of all the chemical ions dissolved in the water 💧.
They are mostly salts and minerals in solution in your ponds water column so not necessarily bad chemicals.
Having a calibrated probe in the water that measures this is another way or keeping an eye on your water quality this probe measures the conductivity of the total dissolved solids (TDS) and gives you a number as a reference.
So knowing what your source water is at the beginning will help you with your pond water as you use this to dilute whats in your pond.
Some people use reverse osmosis (RO) as their source water is so hard (a very high conductivity number).
It is believed by many that soft water produces youthful koi as it mimics the soft water of Japanese breeders.
I believe there are people online like Manky Sanke who have more detailed information about this subject.
I hope this helps in some way.

Good simple test kit. I missed what your nitrAte level is at. You just probably didn't show it but with the NitrAte testing you have to shake bottle #1 vigorously for 30 seconds to dissolve the sediment at the bottom of the bottle that accumulates when the bottle has been sitting for long. If not shaken it may likely give you a false reading of zero. I'm going to enjoy watching that handy guardian set up of yours. Very cool.

Jeff your conductivity is at 6 which seems almost impossible without using RO usually its higher out of the tap and climbs even higher in the pond due to feeding ect. Maybe it needs calibrating. Or maybe your water is the holy grail 🤣

everyday after ph crash, think it's where I replaced soil in plant baskets, sucked all the kh out of the pond, ph/kh wasn't registering on my idip tester, everything OK now, 3 days dosing with bicarb. out of interest what tds reading have you got.
