Thank you for the thorough review as always! How does this compare to the PCalm Cato cream? The texture looks very similar.

It sounds very good, thank you for this review. I also liked the military story.

Thank you! Make sure to check out Odile Monod's video about Dr. G, she tells the story behind their success so much better than me!

I have just ordered this cream (military version, I believe they have a few versions, quite confusing) a few days ago for my son, I had the toner in my new stash for a long time but gave it to my son a few days ago and he likes it. The mild sunscreen (with some green on the tube) left a white cast for me. Anyway, the 2 sunscreens are going RM8.90 (orange tinted) and RM9.90 (green-white) in Malaysia, which is really, really cheap for stock clearance but I am not ordering after the first experience. I do not recommend those 2 sunscreens, if not wrong, they have another sunscreen, I think I saw another but wasn't too interested to find out if it is a revamp of the existing mild version or just another.

Yes, Odile has a video about all of the different versions of this cream, it's so interesting! Good to know about the sunscreens, I only ever hear that they are so so popular, especially the green one. It's a physical sunscreen, so I can imagine it having quite the white cast.

Purito has a free standing store in Korea and a skincare lab so they have to be doing alittle something not just to be in olive young and on Korean skincare retailers. Only reason I know this is cause James Welsh visited Korea not long ago because he was invited to that store and lab lol 😂 I wouldn't know otherwise.

Ah, that must be new then because they used to exclusively sell overseas! The "lab" part surprises me because they also didn't use to manufacture their own products, they used an ODM like most smaller indie brands. Hence, the sunscreen scandal - that was due to two ODMs (manufacturing companies) diluting their formulas across a wide range of brands. Interesting changes to the brand, thanks for the info!

@@UlrikeScherer no problem, yea they let James make his own skincare product they had a party and of course gave all kind of skincare and new skincare that hadn't been launched at the time he went.

@@heathersargent289 It's very interesting to me, I really always thought Purito is for the Western market only. I'm going to research this now! I must admit, every product I've tried from them was very "meh" for me, but I also know many people like their products. I just wonder if they're trying to give the impression of making their own products while still using outsourced manufacturers? To me that would be a bit misleading? But oh well, I guess it wouldn't matter too much to end consumers! :D

@@UlrikeScherer that would be interesting to know. I am not a super fan I like the centella unscented serum and want to try their new oat toner but not a hard core fan. That would be super misleading if they are doing that though. I do know alot of Korean brands use the same lab for sunscreens . I do know that that video of James was made I think before the rice spf came out and maybe a serum of some sort of u want to go back and check out his video then do some research .

They may have their own lab but some of the products will still be outsourced just like Amore Pacific, despite being the biggest umbrella out of K-beauty, they still outsource research labs and productions. Purito was still problematic right after the huge sunscreen saga, they had their revamped sunscreen certified by companies overseas instead of in South Korea, it's in Mad About Skin video, probably his last one that has anything to do with Purito.
