I don’t know why I feel compelled to say this….. somehow I just feel like Miranda needs to hear that she’s doing a great job and she doesn’t have to please anybody, so whatever she is/was searching for…. She deserves it hands down. Keep up the awesome work MGO Team! ❤
Ok sweetie, I don´t know if you will see this but: so many serendipity moments; just binging around your videos, in the same life situation as you, into hiking, thinking of moving, and I see the main Street of Leavenworth which reminded me of my favourite show from my childhood "Northern Exposure", I google the street, it is Roslyn Washington, which absolutely blew my mind, almost near haha. And, my heart melted even further by discovering and seeing Leavenworth! How fairytale cute the town is! Keep your spirits high, you made an excellent decision! Greetings from Germany 💞
This Hallmark movie writes itself. Big city UA-cam celebrity, Miranda moves to a tiny mountain town to further her career, But things don't go as expected when she finds love & realizes that that is what she was really seeking all along. 😄
I knew before you even said it "Hey, that's Leavenworth!" As a nearby Wenatchee-ite who spends as much time hiking and camping around Leavenworth as possible, I hope to see you on the trail someday! Happy hiking and welcome to the sunny side of the mountains :)
Miranda! I’m so happy for you. Rainer’s goofy dance cracked me up! Thank you for lending your voice to UA-cam. The way you share the outdoors and the honest way you share your struggles help me and so many more feel less alone. Keep bringing your authentic self and know you are appreciated. ❤
I love involving the crew. The interactions among your friends is fun especially for traveling and exploring. I think there is also a time for solo video when diving into deep thoughts and experiences
Miranda, while we all love regular content, please make sure to not burn yourself out if it starts coming to that. I know a lot of content creators that started out weekly have moved to ever other week, just because the work churn got to be too much. I'm excited to see what you do this year! Just take care of you first. :D
Miranda will likely respond but I just wanted to say I really appreciate this comment. Thank you! Burn out is a big thing on UA-cam. Miranda and I are very focused on not burning out this year. We will definitely take some Sundays off here and there, and some edits will take longer too and we’ll always take the extra time to make sure a video is right, but even so we think we can deliver weekly content most of the year.
Yay Leavenworth! You gotta get some of that WhistlePunk Icecream 😋 Also, I’d love to see a Miranda does Trail Maintenance video. Maybe partner with WTA and let us know what we can do to help/get involved. Looking forward to your adventures!
Miranda, I'm so happy for you! My dad used to live around Lake Chelan, not too far from where you are. He ended up living in Vancouver, worked across the river in Portland, and then moved to the SF Bay Area to be closer to us kids. He lasted three years before he had to move. I quote "you guys live about 10 years an hour faster than I can stand". He ended up meeting his third wife and they moved to Rapid City, SD where they actually lived happily ever after until he died at age 83. I think the slower pace of a small town and the ability to get into the woods whenever you like is going to be great for you. Thanks for introducing us to your new town! Sounds like a place I'd like to visit!
I’m hiking the PCT this year and will be stopping in Leavenworth for a zero or two because my aunt and uncle live along the icicle river. I love the town! It’s definitely one of my bucket list places to live. Kudos to you! Enjoy!
Oh my gosh!! Congrats on your upcoming hike, and enjoy your zeros in Leavenworth! It's a perfect spot to recover, do some laundry, eat some food, and soak in the views.
Thanks, @@MirandaGoesOutside! I'm part excited, part freaking the heck out! LOL... I just keep reminding myself "it's just walking, man. It's just walking."
As a native east coaster I saw Leavenworth on my first trip to the PNW back in 2007. I live in Houston now and go backpacking with my college buddies who live up there now every summer. It's a huge spirtual and mental reset for me being in the mountains. You're videos help me get through the non summer months living in flat land Houston. Thank you to you and the team for all that you guys do spreading joy.
So happy for you!! As someone who grew up in a very small town, you're gonna love it!! I'm on a acreage now and love being able to go out the back door for a hike whenever I feel like it. I couldn't handle the city again!
AS someone who lives in France and travels to the alps every year I find this town quiet funny and whimsical. I didn't know something like this existed and the views of the mountains are incredible, maybe I'll go see it one day! And I've wanted to move to the alps for ages so maybe this video will inspire me to, because I feel the same way you do living in a big city and longing for nature
Yes! More crew shenanigans! Weekly videos: sure, if you can do it without burning out. Super stoked for longer trip videos. Can't wait to watch you guys this year! Cheers!
I've been watching your videos on and off for a while and I just want to thank you for the smiles I get when I watch. I feel a definite affinity with you, your humor, your style! Thanks for sharing and I look forward to seeing more! Being also a hiker/backpacker in Washington I also love getting the low-down on hikes I haven't done yet. Keep 'em coming!
If I didn't move to Missoula, Montana, Leavenworth would've been VERY high on my list of places to move to. I've always wanted to live in Leavenworth. Fun Fact: The Icicle Ridge Trail is where my best friend talked me into joining her for our first Grand Canyon Rim to Rim hike back in 2016. It was then in the canyon later that year where I got inspired to start planning my first PCT thru-hike. Thank you for taking me down memory lane. I got all the feels from this one.
We moved there as well! Love the outdoors and away from the city. If you ever want to test out some gear, just let us know as we may have it. I’m always cycling or running around the Pine St/Titus block.
@@angelinabowen6251awesome! It’s been great, and can’t wait for the summer season. If you saw someone fall off their bike a few times last week going down from the Lev. ski, that was me.

As a Texas transplant living in Tacoma, the Leavenworth area has been one of my favorite places in Washington since I stumbled on it 10 years ago. Magical every time of year. Definitely jealous-enjoy your new home!
I love Leavenworth. As former East Coasters who moved to NoCal 14 years ago, my family has made two trips to Leavenworth in the past few years to get a taste of snow, mountains, and Christmas.
The past few weeks I have been wondering if you moved to Leavenworth because I recognized it, congrats! I camped along Icicle Creek for three months in 2013 and it kinda changed my life... since then I have always wanted to revisit the area, especially since I now live a (long) day drive away. I hope it's as special a place for you as it is for me.
It is such an incredibly special place to me, for a ton of reasons, and I'm super jazzed to live here now! I hope you get a chance to visit again ❤️ it never loses it's charm.
Enjoy your new surroundings! It is a beautiful town and on my list to visit. I grew up in a Bavarian town. Looking forward to videos of upcoming back packing trips.
We need to get your Subscribers number up there. I really thought you had a lot more than that by now. Maybe sharing your videos with others would help. Glad you got out of the city, town life is sooo much more relaxing. Leavenworth reminds me of my ski trip to Scheffau Astria with all the buildings decorations like a Swiss village where I went skiing many years ago. I used to live in small towns in the Colorado mountains and really enjoyed it with the slower pace and you get access to the mountains so quickly. City life has never been my choice.
I moved to a tiny mountain town and what it lacks in access and shopping, it’s more than made up for with the recreation and community. I found that it became easier to be outside than to shop, or eat out or, or lay on the couch. It’s been a life changing environment change, and I am so happy for you! Congrats!
You picked a wonderful part of the state to live, I have lived in Chelan for 48 years. Don't forget to check out the scablands, many awesome places hidden in this unique stark scenery.
We have a very similar Bavarian- style tourist trap in Helen, Georgia. Your background is much more breathtaking. I totally understand wanting to be really close to trails. Big Congrats!! You're killing it!!!
I love Leavenworth! Icecicle river is gorgeous, so much hiking, beautiful mountains. You'll have to enjoy a horse drawn sleigh ride around Christmas. And you're now even closer to over beautiful areas like Wenatchee national Forest, Packwood and bumping lake, rimrock, clear lake and so many other areas.
Miranda, I just want to say thanks for all your amazing videos! I moved from the PNW (where I lived for my whole life) out to Pennsylvania about 2 years ago and while I’ve been having lots of fun exploring some of the lovely nature that PA and WV have to offer there’s just nothing quite like the cascades! Your videos give me that little dose of home that keeps me from getting too homesick for the mountains and the forests ❤🏔️

I'm so excited to see what you have in store for this year! I love seeing your adventures and learning from you. I went car camping this weekend, and on our hike, every single time we crossed a bridge I had to call out "Bridge! Miranda, a Bridge!" There was no Miranda with us, so some of the group was confused, but it made me happy :)
...well, Miranda, you have certainly nailed one of my absolute Must-Live Bucket List places. I already live in a place that is extremely "touristy", but Leavenworth is certainly a different version of that. Summer seem to be a far more outdoor high-mountain recreational time that is far different than the Christmas-y Bavarian Swiss Alp theme of the town. The great thing about Leavenworth, aside from its access to the Wenatchee River and Icicle Creek, is the access to Lake Wenatchee. Lake Chelan, the Entiat River, and all that Blewett Pass country to the south. I'm looking forward to your hiking adventures in this area that I've always wanted to live in....
The update I've been itching for!!! Wanting to do a similar move, but going to vicariously live through you for now. So happy for you and wishing you all the best on this new journey you're on.
I have spent a bit of time in that area. The most memorable hike was the 5 days we spent in the Core of the Enchantments ( yes I was lucky enough to score a Core permit). The entire area over there is a plethora of hiking trails, a virtual hiking wonderland.
I LOVE Leavenworth!! I’ve been a few times, but still need to make it there during Christmas time. I’m so happy for you!! And I can’t wait to see the hikes you do. The few hikes I’ve done in that area are bonkers beautiful. Happy hiking!!
I loved Leavenworth when i stopped for a day before my hike on The Enchantments!!! I distinctly remember the sauerkraut and all that mustard. sooooo goooood
Yay! I'm so excited to see what you have in store for your future videos and it was great to see you so happy and pumped. Also, you are the first person to make a polar plunge seem like something I wouldn't mind trying! "Best cup of coffee I ever had"! LOL
I've had the opportunity the past 2 summers to embed in the Northwest Youth Corps, whose field office is right on Wenatchee. I love this area and am thrilled that you're there!

Leavenworth great choice! In a few years Winthrop! Still a fan for so many reasons. Stay real and true to your self. Love ya!
So excited for you! i hope it turns out to be everything you hope it can be. Take care!
How exciting! I am so happy for you guys. You deserve this after all the hard work, the risks, and the challenges. You are KILLING it.
I have spent a bit of time in that area. The most memorable hike was the 5 days we spent in the Core of the Enchantments ( yes I was lucky enough to score a Core permit). The entire area over there is a plethora of hiking trails, a virtual hiking wonderland.
It looks like you've found your own little slice of heaven. Thanks for showing us around, and I look forward to your future videos.
I'm happy for you! My sons and I have years of memories in the Leavenworth area. Enjoy!
I LOVE Leavenworth!! I’ve been a few times, but still need to make it there during Christmas time. I’m so happy for you!! And I can’t wait to see the hikes you do. The few hikes I’ve done in that area are bonkers beautiful. Happy hiking!!
I lived in Leavenworth last year and this makes me sad that I moved on. I loved going to Lake Wenatchee in the winter!
LOL
ooof dippin in lake wenatchee... cray but so good! so glad you moved to that area.. its perfect!
Thanks!
Thank you so much!!!
I've had the opportunity the past 2 summers to embed in the Northwest Youth Corps, whose field office is right on Wenatchee. I love this area and am thrilled that you're there!
Ah this made me tear up, proud and happy you are finding and choosing what you love and suits you well ❤
Man I love Leavenworth and the whole area around it. Beautiful, and great German-style food to boot!
I love it too!! Munchen Haus sauerkraut on a veggie dog is heaven 🤤
MÜNCHEN HAUS IS SO GOOD
@@MirandaGoesOutside You should put one of their tattoos on your cheek for a random clip in the future and never mention it, drive up engagement for people in the know 🤣
How exciting! Lucky the whole crew moved. that's awesome. Hope you enjoy life more (although it looked pretty golden to me as I sit in my office 6 days a week).
This was a fun way to see my home:) I hope you are having the best time in Leavy!
I was in our new Bedford, NH REI today and I thought about you!!!
Leavenworth is in my top Bucket List places to go in the US!! I watch the live streams of the Christmas lights in December to get me in the spirit. I imagine the vibe there is so cool. I'm so happy for you Miranda!!!
We love you three for the same reasons we love Hermoine, Ronald, and Harry!
