There will always be many people who see someone with more than they have and want to take it away from that person, to equalize things. Many have a "crabs in a barrel" mentality, to want to have the same things that someone else has and if that person can't have it then neither should the other person. In the end, other people don't become better off if you're improving yourself. "Always do the right thing because every action affects far more than just those who witness the action." is a better axiom. people are unfortunately very influenced by other people's actions, after all. this video is incredibly boring. negative rizz. 7 minutes in and it's tough to listen to this cadence and tone.
I literally forgot about Tokyo Ghoul, and I used to be a huge fan, even read the manga in 2020. Seeing the return of the Fandom has reawakened what felt like a fever dream. 😂
This is the story that I have long forgotten. I was deeply in love with Kaneki back in the day, when this story was talked about by everyone around the world. Your channel is definitely the underrated one. I feel lucky to have found it. Thank you for your video.
Seriously, Kaneki's character is unparalleled imo and now that I'm an adult rereading this series I'm able to enjoy it so much more, and really understand what I'm seeing here. I liked him as a kid because I just found him cool, and now I enjoy him much more as an adult because he's so flawed yet strong. I really want to give Tokyo Ghoul the justice it deserves Also, thank you so much for your support, it means a lot 🤝❤️
20:45-22:00 I completely agree with you and I think that was the message the author was trying to show us the reader. You have to value yourself in not just everyone else. That also goes with his mom and what he taught him "It's better to be hurt than to hurt others. Nice people can be happy with just that."That why Rize appeared and challenged that logic in his mind when being tortured by Jason. Damn watching these TG videos makes me wanna binge read the manga again. Great summary and analysis again
honestly, the more i listen to people talk about tg, the more i appreciate it. i've reread the series twice by now, and each time i do i notice something new, like furuta in around cp 20 of tg, many allusions to tarot cards like the tower and reverse lover in tg: re 125. there are so many little details that you just can't notice unless you read the series multiple times. each time i reread it i love it more and more.
Listen dawg, as a romance manga lover, aint nobody convinced me to read an action manga as much as you. Your manga analysis of Tokyo Ghoul is so succinct and clear and its making me invested in this manga more and more. I might actually read the whole manga front to back when i graduate. Keep this up bro, I be watching all your Tokyo Ghoul videos, and I'm waiting for the next one
Idk if you ever finished or started the manga series, but it's funny you said what you said, because everything in Tokyo Ghoul is influenced/caused by romance
This kinda reminds me of a saying that fits quite well with how everyone that wanted toyko ghoul to continue. "life is like a movie. It can end before the story is over with plots completely unresolved until the next person picks it up again to continue the story."
The immesurable amount of pain that Kaneki had ever experienced in years truly fucked him up as a whole but what's more special about his character trait is he perseveres no matter what life throws at him even though he's mentally unstable and cant keep being fully himself and have a life as a normal happy person. I think that's what Ishida-san is trying to show his theme is Perseverance.
Again, such a DAMN well made video. I love ghoul’s manga so much. I’m so happy people still talk about it and analyze it with such love. Thank you, I appreciate you very much. Your other VIDEOS ROCK TOO! Much love
that unserious ass chomp noise at 13:41 dawg my sides are in shambles. Amazing video though I'm excited to see such thoughtful breakdowns of TG manga in a time where it seems all but forgotten. Very important series for me
At the end of og Tokyo ghoul I really thought Arima had killed Kaneki and it would have been the end of the story as a whole. 1. The protagonist would be dead. 2. There wouldn't be any ghouls living in Tokyo anymore . So the essence of the title itself would be gone. That was the CCG initial goal.
This is such an incredible analysis. Please make more. This is my favorite series of all time and to see someone understand it as well as you do means a lot
I remember when a classmate got me into anime and I watched this series. I just couldn't understand why kaneki acted the way he did. The series still stuck with me and now I realize how those black and white tiles in the dream sequences also are a recurring dream of mine or just before I fall asleep I am falling by those. I guess it's time for me to come back and rewatch it so I can understand.
I know I am late but. This feels like a gift, thank you Hundred, Tokyo Ghoul videos are so rare now at days, Tokyo Ghoul helped me in a rough point in my Life. And now knowing so much more about Life, I plan to re read it now. It also taught me to improve myself, while helping others around me. When I am good enough being able to do it.
Same with me. I found this series in 2014 (So almost 10 years ago now) at the earliest part of where my life started to change and I started sorting out the trauma from my early teen years. The pain of growing apart from some very close friends, the trauma I experienced at 13, the re-examining of myself and digging through my very scared mind trying to figure out who I was for the first time at 22-23 yrs old was so bad. Not to mention the nightmares I had as well. And aside from lots of liquor and music, This story was there through it all since my friends didnt bother trying to help. I dont even know the number of times I read this manga from beginning to end. All I know is I just latched onto Kaneki's character. Something Ive never done before, nor since.
I recently beat Dark Souls and have to say I have been noticing Gwyn's theme in many anime videos like this and like how it fits in many different verses
I'm literally getting a tattoo tomorrow based on this arc/the feeling of fighting with all you have one last time even if you know it's your end thats coming from it . And you made a video perfectly describing that!!
This video doesn't show the exact panel but it happens moments after the sequence at 16:26 . It's when kaneki is standing over the flowers and he looks like a spider because the way his tentacles are formed
@@kupapompa6252 that's too bad ass, I'm current working on making my right arm a sleeve of manga panels. So far I got a denji panel and a PunPun and aiko panel. Plus the new ones tomorrow
Keep this going man loving some Tokyo ghoul love. Reading this series while living with depression makes it mean a lot to me even if I didn’t love the adaptation. Kaneki is absolutely a character worth analyzing like this.
there's actualy a little pannel in the last page of vol 1 showing Hide's eye was little opened indicating that he was listening to conversation Kaneki and Yoshimura had.
It's good to see the someone cover the manga in depth! thanks man I nearly forgot about a lot of things that happened in this story. I also think it's badass that the fan base is still going strong!

explanation: when he touches his chin that it means hes lying
Let’s gooo more people analyzing and just talking in general about Tokyo Ghoul in 2023 😭

Tony Funk does some good content on it

A big aspect of how disjointed this book was had to do with the author not enjoying his lead and disliking the story. Which sucked as I liked it.
