@@AskIveSolar Will Prowse had a video showing the larger surface area poly panels of the same 100 watt rating blowing the monocrystaline panels away. But I suspect that I`ll get over 20 watts from poly panels on overcast days. So I ordered parallel connectors for cloudy days to charge my 300 watt power stations.
@@baneverything5580 Will is so blessed to be living (damn, that dude can finally afford it too) where he is as the solar rating of Las Vegas is the best in the country. Oh, here is some food for thought, but the solar NASA uses is more akin to Mono but is nothing like we use on Earth because it has to deal with extremely harsh environment of space from blistering heat to a minute later almost absolute zero (around 4-8 Kelvin or very slightly more).

HQST is a known Renogy dumping ground and what makes me afraid is that a lot of reviews on them say they don't replace the panels so just get a Renogy that will.
@@generalawareness101 I got a really great deal on HQST folding portable panels but haven`t bought larger ones. Their folding panels were 1/3rd the price of other sellers and are incredible.
@@baneverything5580 Well, look at the panels (btw, YT didn't even notify me of your response to me) being shown here. What I saw on Amazon, and this video, is wasted space in the Renogy panel whereas the HQST uses almost all of it. Every millimetre matters if that millimetre could have a piece of silicon cell in it. The thing is if HQST is really the dumping ground for Renogy why the difference? I could see if it were the Renogy using less space as the HQST (being the so-called dumping ground of Renogy) because HQST hadn't caught up yet, but that isn't what is happening. Look at the tech details Vmp 17.6 for HQST and 18.6 for the Renogy. That tells me the R is using two cells more per row. Next is the Imp with 2.84 for HQST and 2.69 for the Renogy. Those numbers speak to the issue of the wasted space in the Renogy. Now let's do the math: 17.6*2.84=49.984 watts. 18.6*2.69=50.034 watts. Dimensions - 22.9 x 20.0 for the R and 20.15 x 25.8 for the H. Notice something? Even with the R having wasted space the cells used are superior because the panel is so close to the Imp of the HQST while being smaller (and even using less space inside the slightly smaller panel). The info I am giving is for their 50w Mono panels. Is the Renogy worth 18 dollars more? This I am not so sure about, but if we see these sorts of differences out of 50w vs 50w I can only imagine 100w or 200w or 300w, etc...
@@baneverything5580 Oh, and something else I noticed but HQST is not shipped from Amazon while most other panel brands (including Renogy) are.
