We bested both by a stop shopping movement in California, treat your workers better....we MIGHT be back. We support our community & small local businesses that are also online with goods & services. So far they are losing 35K a year because of our group & as we gain more members they lose more each day!

I do like walmart physical store but love curbside and have done it for 2 yrs. I have bought off amazon since 2000.I do like the selection on amazon compared to a limited physical store. Been shopping both forever. My problem is I see walmart as a physical store. I grew up with that. E commerce just dosen't make sense to my head. I mean I get it , they have too. Just not there yet I guess. I live rural so walmart is a godsend but amazon, Yea it brings the world of shopping to my doorstep and cheap. I have trouble seeing amazon as a physical store. same deal. I do like the choice and sometimes shopping in a real store. I mean for free you will navigate the aisles of walmart and cash out and bag my groceries and load them into my car ? fro free ? yea I'm in. My only fear is 1 day there will be no physical stores to shop. I mean after covid it was nice to just shop out of the house and see people.

Amazon maybe better as complementary to Walmart when Walmart is short range while Amazon is long range like Walmart is focus on now while Amazon is like more carefully selective and not really immediately concern but more speciality

Do you pay taxes on AMAZON good? Do you pay taxes on retail goods? What helps the economy more?

Not a big Walmart fan especially after Sam Wall died. It turned from small discount retail store to super giant retailer that offers a lot of junk. The food is so heavily processed it's making people sick, and their stores are like walking into a third world country. No one cares about customer service or cleanliness, yet they want to get paid $20 an hour for being crabby to customers. I don't love Amazon either, but their customer service is definitely a ton better and they have revolutionized online shopping.

    Don't sleep on Target...
Walmart, on the other hand, is hit or miss. They do NOT honor their "shipping" algorithm when one selects that option.

I have a Walmart, Meijer, Costco, Kroger, and Target all within about a 4 mile radius of where I live. Target definitely seems to get the least amount of foot traffic comparatively. There are times that I've been in there in the mornings, and it's like a ghost town... (crickets chirping in their audio system adds to the effect).

Go for Amazon. Walmart will literally advertise a real product and send you an obvious Chinese knock off for the full price. Stick to Amazon, easy refunds and overall satisfaction.
