Went to Church in Minnesota a few months ago and was very impressed with how devoutly conservative the liturgy of the Mass was conducted by the Celebrant.

You have to read the whole quote. It is on the internet and would give you a much deeper understanding of this quote.

    (?)
    Friedrich Nietzsche
“God is dead. God remains dead. And we have killed him. How shall we comfort ourselves, the murderers of all murderers? What was holiest and mightiest of all that the world has yet owned has bled to death under our knives: who will wipe this blood off us? What water is there to clean ourselves. What festivals of atonement , what sacred gamma games shall we have to invent? Is not the greatness of this deed too great for us? Must we ourselves not become gods simply to appear worthy of it?”

The word gamma should be deleted. I carry this full quote in my purse to remind me how powerful belief is and what a devastation when it is lost!!!
