That looks like a very delightful tank to build. It's highly detailed. I'm sure you will enjoy this build. Thanks for making this video and take care my friend :)
Thank you for a great review, the kit looks ok, and despite some of the issues you pointed out I think it will make up into a good looking model. Really appreciate the clarity and the thoroughness of your reviews, keep up the great work.
Quick question with the kit. Do you know if Bronco made this kit with the correct rear deck? From what I've read that MiniArt panzer iii B,C,and D rear deck are incorrect and if you want the correct ones, you have to order it from an aftermarket company. Im just curious, I'm a big fan of panzer iii myself and want them to look perfect like the Tigers. Lol!
apparently it is the case, but even i as a panzer III fan do not really care about. i do not even know what might be wrong. i doubt it is totally off. i may check on what other fellows said about the kit already, maybe it is a big issue, maybe only a minor thing.
Will you be doing a building review on this tank? I know you've just uploaded a building review but your enthusiasm about this tank is just exceptional. It would be a great pleasure to see a building review of your favorite tank.
Finally got back to watching this. Looks solid. Odd that the plastic is gray and not yellow like my 35(t). I checked that kit, smooth as well. Nice review sir.
well, that panzer II flamethrower kit by bronco which i reviewed last year had grey plastic too. it does not seem like it is the same stuff always. i kinda like bronco, but that 35(t) is probably a big challenge to build.
+Hamilkar Barkas hi there this is a random question but im having trouble setting up my new compressor and airbrush/ spraygun all the air is escaping from the drain valve on the water trap and im not getting a pressure reading on the gauge .. no air going to the gun at all the threads are sealed with teflon tape and are airtight but cant seem to do anything to stop the air leaking from moisture drain valve tried blocking the valve but compressor shut off when i did
Looks like a good enough kit to make you happy.. :) The Panzer III is definitely a very attractive tank, I can understand it is one of your favourites.. :) I guess in due course we will see it built.. :) I had an Academy 1/35 Russian Lend-Lease A4M2 Sherman in the post today, and the kit looks decent enough to keep ME happy.. the tracks however were technically the wrong type, and whilst I'm not a rivet counter or a Sherman fan boy (well, a little fan boyish perhaps) I do want it to be reasonably accurate, so have taken a leaf out of your book and ordered a set of Bronco tracks of the correct type.. it will be interesting to assemble them, it's not something I have done before, but it said 'easy' assembly on the bag, so I have hope.. :) If I get stuck I know where to go for expert tips and hints.. ;)
soviet shermans are alright with me, that is at least something slightly exotic :) the academy stuff is usually not bad when it comes to armour. not sure about the bronco tracks though, they might be great or a pain. you will see.
+Hamilkar Barkas Got the Bronco tracks for the Russian Sherman in the post today.. not sure what will be the least painful, assembling the tracks, or banging my head against a brick wall. Still, sometimes it is nice with a challenge, but whoever came up with the idea of calling it 'easy assembly' should be taken out the back and shot.. Still, it will be fun.. IT WILL BE FUN!! (Just trying to convince myself.. and failing miserably..
Hamilkar, great review. just what I needed. I must say this kit seems pretty darn close to Miniart's 3.d that I have. The tracks, the turret assembly. upper body parts assembly... they too lack texture but overall fit is superb. just yesterday I learned that the engine deck is wrong though. However. You have miniart B. how do they compare?
I have the ausf c to build and yes, the rear is not accurate, but Ill build the kit "as is" anyway. Someone does a resin replacement part now, if you cant live with it.
i have the miniart B kit in my stash and reviewed in on YT as well. i do not remember too much detail, but once i start building it i will put them next to each other, it might be interesting :) too bad that the deck seems to be wrong, well, i do not care that much. there is barely a prefect kit there anyway.
Hamilkar Barkas I agree, if it is a little thing wrong, Ill fix it so that its correct, if its like major surgery, I generally leave it.Once its built, if it looks good, then thats ok. Theres not many guys thats gonna realise the rear top is wrong.
Excellent review the kit looks very detailed, sure you have some ideas for a nice diorama. And what about the price compared with other companies, like Dragon or Tamiya....tschuss...
Great review! Looks like a lovely kit :) Surfaces are the only issue; Could you recommend me one of your "how to" vids where you show how to use Mr surfacer?
thank you, well nobody/nothing is perfect :) i think i never showed the use of mr surfacer in detail yet except for the figure video for my dragon sdkfz 251, but there i used it to fill gaps and not for texturing.
Is there post-sanding process?? or you just leave it like that? I've never done it before and I want to give it a try along with Scalemodel Alberta's tutorials on drilling implements to work with surfaces.
I had thought of building the Bronco's panzer III ausf a. I saw the video Michael. Like many brands, bolted tracks are difficult for me to build. What do you say Michael? Have a nice weekend
The tracks are indeed a little bit silly. I just left off the plastic pins and glued them together as they were, finally i filled the remaining holes with a drop of thick plastic glue. That worked good enough for me. I have built that kit already, here is the video of it so you can see how it looks alltogether. It is not a bad kit, i just felt that the individual springs were not easy to position correctly at the suspension. Here is the link to the video. ua-cam.com/video/E9m2gauiJXM/v-deo.html
I do not watch many of these in box reviews. They bore me. Aber das war sehr interesant! I LOVE this kit. I can see me buying this in the future! I think this is a very good looking tank, with the 5 big roadwheels, certainly much nicer looking suspension compared to the ausfs b, c and d versions. I havd tye Miniart ausf c to build and there are alomost 1100 parts, but this ausf a looks much easier. Someone on another forum said that Bronco was in co-operation with Miniart to make this model. I do not see anything that is the same as the Miniart kit, and think it was just a young lad assuming that this was the case. Anyways, looking forward to your build - video build up please?????
And you are not building it yet?!?! Just kidding anyway I always enjoy your reviews and this kit will be a welcome subject to any and all armor enthusiasts.I have always wanted to build each variant to show to show the upgrades and changes made to German armor during their service careers. Retirement is only a couple of years away! Better start stocking up now.
I'm playing catch up with your build's, it's taking time, dude you have a ton of content. Anyway cool review, really nice kit, but don't you think that kit manufacturers should add the figures that are shown on the box art? or at least figures. I'm always left buying figures, and that just makes the build more costly then I want to spend. Anyway cool review.
well thing is that figures in the kit would raise the price too so you would not gain anything there. brands who do this often like tamiya have usually not good figures. i never use them. my builds are more individual so i look for the figures i need anyway.
maybe the designers of this kit were the same guys who made the actual bigger tanks very complex so they would be lost, not to enemy action but to the inability of crews to repair them. Just an idiotic comment but somebody must do that and this time I was given the task (else I would be put on KP peeling onions ) thanks for a nice review..chuck :)
third world countries like germany do not have any model stores around. just kidding, every major city has them, but i think it is rather pointless to get models during a holiday, because the stuff can be ordered and shipped worldwide anyway.
you didn't have any other interesting kits in your stash because apparently you don't have any shermans and had to settle on this panzer III instead. just kidding hahaha :D but seriously, exept for a couple minor short comings that you pointed out, this looks like a sweet kit. i'm looking forward to seeing it after you've built it. and i wish you.....viel spaß ! :)
+Hamilkar Barkas oh yes, i agree. my next build is going to be a tiger I early production (tamiya kit). after that probably a king tiger, but i'm still trying to decide between henschel or porsche. dragon offers both with zimmerit molded on. :)
Nice looking kit. Amazing how much that tank changed from one model to the next.
there was constant development involved. it is a fascinating subject..
Another excellent video & kit review from you! Thank you for posting all of your videos.
thank you very much for your approval :)

you are welcome :) i´m fascinated by the vehicle primarily, the kit is not outstanding, but definitely fine.
Thank you for a great review, the kit looks ok, and despite some of the issues you pointed out I think it will make up into a good looking model. Really appreciate the clarity and the thoroughness of your reviews, keep up the great work.
thank you very much for your appreciation!
It's a great review. This kit looks interesting. Thanks for sharing
you are welcome jose :)
Du Bist der Beste Modellbau Kanal
wenn du es sagst :)
Awesome kit review, will definitely order one! PE does not look bad at all. Thanks for sharing this kit. Hope you build it soon!
i probably will :)

you are welcome.

i can not tell this already, i have a plan for the kit but i do not know when i will get round to building it and if i feel like documenting it.
Thanks for doing another kit review for us.
you are welcome!

nice review my friend one kit closer to having all the Panzer III's :P
oh yes, one day i will have the family complete.
+Hamilkar Barkas hi there this is a random question but im having trouble setting up my new compressor and airbrush/ spraygun all the air is escaping from the drain valve on the water trap and im not getting a pressure reading on the gauge .. no air going to the gun at all the threads are sealed with teflon tape and are airtight but cant seem to do anything to stop the air leaking from moisture drain valve tried blocking the valve but compressor shut off when i did
+captaingavin421 air coming through when brush is directly connected to compressor aswell if that helps any help would be greatly appreciated
I really liked the look of the instructions in the kit. Are all the Bronco kits like that?
bronco stuff is decent, but some of their kits are really hard to assemble.
It looks a promising kit. I guess the proof of the pudding will be in the eating as we say. B never done a bronco kit so keen to see how you find it
i had to deal with bronco twice already, did not like the first encounter, but the second one was neat. the kit seems like a very enjoyable project.
I like Bronco kits. The plastic of PanzerIII is hard so you have to be careful when removing parts from the sprues. Thanks Hamilkar.
me too, altough some of them can be a bit tricky to build due to overengineering. this one is fine, i already built it last year.

Which part is the wrong one? Is it the deck maybe? Covering that with some stowage might do it for me.
Yes, the rear deck and engine grills. Tom Cockle has an online blog on constructive comments.
i have the miniart B kit in my stash and reviewed in on YT as well. i do not remember too much detail, but once i start building it i will put them next to each other, it might be interesting :) too bad that the deck seems to be wrong, well, i do not care that much. there is barely a prefect kit there anyway.

you just apply it and for eavier effects you just stipple it a bit when it is half dry, no sanding involved.
+Hamilkar Barkas Thank you :)

5 pairs of road wheels?
I did not know that.
now you do

Oh, did you see that Miniart are bringing out the StuG a-o, based on the early suspension?
cheers! maybe there was a cooperation between the companies, but for me the style is a bit too different, so i would not place a bet on it.
And you are not building it yet?!?! i think the spring and summer will be busy with panzer III´s on my bench, i´m very much looking forward to it :)

true true, thanks.
This is a beautiful model Michael Bronco is good brand egual Dragon. This kit for me have a tracks very very difficult
Cheers! I built the kit and i was mostly satisfied with it. The tracks are very difficult indeed!
The tracks dragon are easy😂😂😂😂

Hi i am visiting germany i am wondering if there are any hobbystores here?
third world countries like germany do not have any model stores around.
just kidding, every major city has them, but i think it is rather pointless to get models during a holiday, because the stuff can be ordered and shipped worldwide anyway.

sure, i was there twice already. made a video about my visit. it is a really cool place to visit.
you didn't have any other interesting kits in your stash because apparently you don't have any shermans and had to settle on this panzer III instead. just kidding hahaha :D but seriously, exept for a couple minor short comings that you pointed out, this looks like a sweet kit. i'm looking forward to seeing it after you've built it. and i wish you.....viel spaß ! :)
