P.S. i payed this ticket using miles, you may have to expect to pay a fee when selecting a seat, I paid $55 for the windowless window. And I was NOT refunded
You pay for extra legroom or preferred seating on Qatar - preferred just meaning it’s closer to the front of the airplane. As there is no difference in price between window, middle or isle seats, it’s no surprise that you wouldn’t be refunded. Check websites like seatguru for seat layouts to identify where those windowless window seats are. I’ve been caught out a few times on various airlines.
The only good 777 seat layout in Qatar is the one with 24 in Business and 388 in Economy because then Economy passengers get a good engine view and it won’t be for Business class passengers like the aircraft’s with 42 seats in Business

I flew in both Emirates and Qatar Airways. It depends on what to look at:
Service, seat comfort (excluding A330 & B787-8), prices, flexibility and, of course, business class - it is Qatar Airways
Meal, IFE, amount of A380 flights - it is Emirates
Transit - both same
Doha Hamad - less walk in terminals, bug lounge choice, but expensive and overbooked airport hotel, as well as overbooked transit pods.
Dubai International - Huge walk between terminals, but cheap and accessible transit hotel.

Hard to say, Qatar has many different configured 777-300ER's, I'd say anything towards the back or row 17
I recently flew with QR in their A359 and 77W, in my opinion it is better than EK and SQ. QR is leading in terms of the price of the flight, airport crew, check-in effectivity, flight attendant, and seats (both economy and business class). However, their in-flight WiFi, on board menu, in flight entertainment, and airport transit effectiveness is not as good as EK, I had to walk for more than 10/15 minutes from the arrival gate to the security for transit, moreover, their hub airport is below the level of Changi, SQ’s hub airport, yet it is not as ‘pale’ as DXB, EK’s hub. All in all, is QR the best airline in the world? In my opinion, yes, however, some changes such as in flight meal and in flight wifi must be done for the better, as I said IFE is not as good as EK but it still very much enjoyable, and regarding Doha airport, I don’t think Qatar Airways have a say in that since they both are two different subject in this case.

Everytime QR planes land at Hamad, they park at remote stands, am I correct??

I used to think it depends on where you’re flying in from, but I’ve had a mixed bag from the same destinations on various aircraft types so I can’t gauge what their system is for gate assignment.

I will not say it’s the best airline. We travelled via Montreal to Doha on May 11th and lost a luggage and only received after many attempts in 12 days.. their luggage handling is the worst in the world. I have travelled 3 times and all three times we lost our luggages..I am not a fan of QA.

QR wifi deal is very good , same price as Etihad who charges $9.99 for 13 hrs flight Abu Dhabi -JFK. KLM charged me $ 20 for 8 hrs flight (WTF) !
I'm going to India in January 2024 Via Seattle -Doha and want to know if you think I will have time to use my priority pass at th4e lounge with a 2 1/2 and 3 hour lay over to transfer? It been 20 years since I have traveled aboard and I know things have changed quite a bit since then.
So I purchased the Priority Pass to see if a little luxury, would lighten the stress of my traveling in Economy. but I'm concerned I won't have time to use it.
