Please man DO NOT put down this videos never! 😂 I’am building a pitbike with a votol em80sgpt(whatever) and these videos helps me sooo much! You are my hero in there days! Thanks, you are a champ!
Thanks for this video! Any reason why after hooking it up my display just randomly flashes with different readings of speed and amperage while stationary?
Nice video ,please what is the communication protocol does this display uses ,UART or I2C ,or something else ? Because i see only a one wire for communication which is in your case blue/withe ,please make things clear for me , because i want to start repair business ebike and scooter ,im learning some repair info ,and the CAN BUS is for the battery u said ,whatsthe purpose to connect these 2 CAS BUS wire to the battery ,thank u in advance
Can bus is a communication protcol. It for more than just bms to displays. Its used in automobiles to have the deferent devices communicate with each other. Many controllers also use Canbus, The two canbus wires are for send and receive (RX and TX). Communication protocols can differ depending on manufacturer.
Thanks for the video! As I’m waiting for my 205 hub motor and 150 controller thought I’d ask. After we connect the 3 wires to the speedo, does it accurately display battery percentage, speed and d whatever else? I’d assume it just pulls the info from the controller? Did you have to use the back two buttons for anything? Thanks so much!
yeah. After connecting it, it displays battery correctly. I did have to use the back to buttons to calibrate the speedo. I set it according to my tire circumference to get the speedo close and then I rode around with a GPS and dialed it in.
Help me with this question please! The speed sensor you use (the white cable) , does it has to be installed or it's just one of the phases cable. My controller doesn't have that speed sensor cable, that means I can't install a screen?
Hi.. I have a question.. I have the same screen connected to em100 With 72v battery ..the speed shown on screen is extremely higher than the quad drives , is it fixable?
I have a Question about the display voltage. You said it was 72 volt going into the display, but my lights and horn are 12 volts, does that 12 volts come out of the display or is that supplied by the 12 volt inverter? any thoought on that is greatly appreciated.
Great video! For some reason the dkd display I received didn't have the 2 buttons on the back. I'm not even sure how I'm going to be able to adjust to mph 😕
@@Corn-ped did all the 3 wire connections (battery positive, battery negative, speedo line) and still no power to the display. Tried it on another Fardriver bike and still nothing 😢

awesome to hear! Keep up the bike build!
Excellent video. I can finally use the display.
Like you say it was pretty simple but the wiring harness included is so complicated.
Thanks a lot
Awesome! Glad it helped
life saver. Thank you sir!
Awesome to help!

Have a controler but it has no 5pin display connector but there are several other wires 3pin would I be able to use any of those

you could still install using the CAN cables.
What/ where is the white wire you are getting the speed sensor from??

Oh thats strange. is there anything on it? there has to be some way to program it.

@@JB360_NYC they use to be 12v and the new ones are 48v-96v. What voltage are you trying to power it with?
@@Corn-ped 72V via the battery. If that's true regarding the newer ones than I may try the step down route.
Yeah. I would try 12v.
How do you activate for the turn signals and headlight I can’t seem to get the lights to come on?
I think you should connect wires for lights with lights) so you give +12v to these pins
im having issues with my nd 72360 all functions are missing
what is your controller?
it that display compatible with sabvoton72150(72200)??
it is votol. i checked previous video😅
but i still wonder if sabvoton is compatible
Yes it should be. It has two ways to connect. Either smart way with Com. Or just connect to power and the output.
