@@Corn-ped The only thing I can say is that the configuration for a Hub motor is very different than that of a mid drive. I can definitely share some of the maps I’ve created for the METACYCLE and QS 273 hubs that seem to work great for some of my clients.

@@Corn-ped yes, in my case I set it to 70amps and 40% ebs, my bms read 28amps of charging, just multiply those 2 to get your desired Regen, 28amps Regen for me is too much it brakes crazy hard so I drop it down to 30% =21amps

What I would like to do (once it delivered on 2 months) is just to increase the top end speed to around 75 kmh. So two questions: a) do i need to buy a usb cable with or without CAN? b) what/which setting on the software interface do I change (and from what to what). Thanks.
you could probably need to increase the buss voltage and possibly the RPM limit if there is one set up right now. I am not sure which usb cable you need. My EM200/2 needed the con bus usb cable.

The setting stay the same in the app when you restart it. I save the file and have to reload it each time with the saved settings. Is that what you mean?

What is the difference between busbar current and current limiting? The right column on page 2 is the percentage of power for the busbar current or the current limiting?
Page 2 has the mode columns. and the left side of the column is for the percentage of power and the right side is the percentage of speed. Play with the right side to figure out what % eqauls the too speed you want to limit it at. My low mode is at like 35% and it is limited to 30mph.
dude, you wrong about almost of this setting. two columns in ThreeSpeed are not what you said. the left column is the limited speed on each mode ( ex : you set 60% on left column of Low mod, so the speed will be 9000RPM ( in HDC speed ) x 60% = 5400 RPM. And the right column is how much % power you use for each mode ( ex : you set 59% on Low mod, so you will use 250A ( current limiting ) x 59% = 147,5A for Low mode ). you're so wrong dude. anyway i come from Vietnam ^^
Thank you. That makes perfect sense. I tried changing the right side and it didn't do anything. Everywhere I read said the right column didn't do anything except for high in sport mode. I'll try it again with more drastic changes.

Hi there what's your thought on the votol EM200 SP controller having a rated boost current of 250 amps and setting the sports mode current limit to 250 amps or greater? Will the controller safely operate for short bursts?
@@Corn-ped I see that you are setting the sport mode current based on your battery pack, which you say is 300A. Does the metacycle battery have this rating? If not, the BM system might shut the system down at 300A....your thoughts?
@@Corn-ped hi thanks for your response... I set mine to 285 amps and the bus bar current to half that. I think that there's a discrepancy between how you described the 3 speed data section of the programming on the video compared to the document that you have linked. In the video you describe it as percent of power in the drive mode and the second column as the additional boost in sport mode. The first column is actually the RPM attainable in each gear and the first two boxes in the right column are the percentages of torque and the third box is a number between 0 and 14 and should be left at 7 according to the programming manual

busbar current is the regen value multiplied by ebs % when regen braking, so you can calculate the ampere value of the regen
Does that make the regen adjustable?

I am not sure what the metacycle has for a battery rating. If the battery is not rated for it, the BMS should shut it down.

most probably battery BMS issue
yeah that sounds like a BMS issue or the controller is seeing too much voltage drop and shuts off.

You could have a voltage cut off, is the battery fully charged? . I have not had that issue
Yes sir. Fully charge when i full throttle test is good. Only the problem when i try into the road test
