    This is 100% my hair. Within 6 hours of washing it's already starting to get limp and greasy. In school I used to have to wash it every single day. Finding dry shampoo was a miracle but still looking for my holy grail formula. Your hair is much darker than mine but you got the white cast out so much better than I do.

      Hey what I will recommend you is to you start training your hair. That means that if you wash it every day wash it one day one not a like that you start to extend it. Make baby steps. At first your hair will be very greasy but after your hair gets used to it your hair won't be great. I recommend you to when you are training your hair don't use dry shampoo because dry shampoo takes the oils away and your greasy hair will get used to that and create more oil. You can use dry shampoo but I recommend you use it again when your hair is already trained. DO NOT TOUCH YOUR HAIR trust me don't do it or touch it as less as possible. You can double wash that helps a lot.

    Hey, I have some tips! My hair gets crazy greasy like this also and it’s also bleached and dyed with dark (virgin) roots and so over the years I’ve acquired some useful bits that have seriously helped me out. I also began to leave myself more time between washes and although it was awkward at first, my scalp eventually began to produce less sebum (grease) between washes and so I no longer felt anxious about my hair being greasy on a day I hadn’t washed it. If I’m feeling particularly weird I will rinse the sebum out of my hair with just COLD/COOL water in the shower THOROUGHLY (this means gently massage your scalp with your finger tips and rinse out your hair well) with 0 shampoo and then just putting a bit of conditioner in the ends. Also I’ve found that using a scalp brush to shampoo has helped SO much. It gets right onto your scalp and scrubs off sebum build-up and unclogs pores on the skin on your scalp. After the first time I used a scalp brush my hair and scalp felt clean for DAYS and it’s also really fuckin relaxing. It’s recommended over using your nails because that can increase flakiness and damages your scalp. The tips of your fingers don’t always do the trick when shampooing. Also the more you use dry shampoo the more your pores will clog and your head will begin to overproduce sebum to compensate for dryness which in turn will make your hair greasier in the long run. Try the scalp brush, I honestly swear by it. This is the one I use: Hair Scalp Massager Shampoo Brush, FReatech [Wet & Dry] Manual Head Scalp Massage Brush, Soft Silicone Bristles Care for the Scalp, Exfoliate and Remove Dandruff, Promote Hair Growth - Pink www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B077PQB2HC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_LkDiFb92KK1BX

    You and are are SOUL sisters when it comes to hair! Mine is fine and gets real oily real fast. I can really just do every other day when I wash. I LOVE living proof dry shampoo, I found it was the only one that helped my hair and of course it was the most expensive! But I find a little goes a long way.
    I used to curl my hair on day 2 as well but after my most recent hair coloring it just doesn't look as good as it once did! And it totally helped disguise things! So I just dry shampoo and hope for the best, its usually in a pony tail by the end of the day.
    I have recently switched shampoo's. I switched to Function of Beauty where you can let them know your hair goals and type. I have seen a really difference in my hair, you might give it a try!

    I am Indian i used to wash my hair in every 2 days and now my hair lasts for 7 days without getting greasy, i used few Indian natural products.
    1) At evening I apply amla powder+water paste on roots of my hair, then I let it dry and wash it off after 1 hour (don't shampoo here, just wash) Amla powder absorbs excess oil on scalp and promotes hair growth.
    Next day morning I precondition my hair by applying coconut oil, less on roots just massaging and little more oil on the ends of hair.
    And wash normally with a shampoo.
    This actually works, another important step
    2) always use wooden comb and wash the comb once a month because the residue on comb makes hair greasy.
    Try this remedy and let me know 🙂👍 Thank you 🙂

    Ugh... I feel this but using dry shampoos are often terrible for your scalp and moderately toxic. I use organic coco powder in between washes! Doesn't make my hair gunky, gives me volume AND hides my mild thinning at the front left side of my head. Otherwise, light shines through to my scalp. Something that helps me combat grease is a greener diet and ample water intake (72oz-128oz daily). For shampoo I use Seeds, it's exceptionally gentle and will not strip your hair. Often now I skip shampoo altogether. Incorporating weekly apple-cider vinegar rinses help immensely with the irriated and itchy scalp, which surely helps in the slow of oil production. Also makes your hair soft 💛 The Ordinary company makes a hair serum/ scalp application that I adore, my hair is incredible after using that! And my scalp is calmer. The underlying issue for majority of us is internal, so these fixes are bandages, and often costly when added up. I would recommend anyone living a slave to feeling like a grease ball like I once did, to look into hormone balancing herbal remedies and lifestyle changes. Our bodies are trying to tell us something...

My hair is like yours only it looks like that day 2. I love batiste. It’s the only one that works for me. I only recommend professional products, but with dry shampoo this is the way to go. I use it more than I should and know better but it’s the only thing that works. Thank you for the tips I haven’t tried yet. My extensions are high quality and expensive. I love them because I have fine thin hair. With 3 teen girls I can’t always afford afford it and my hair also needs a break. So this was helpful.

    First off- thank you for your honesty and being vulnerable as this is a sensitive topic for some- myself included. I have very oily scalp issues and I see a dermatologist and am a hairdresser of 20+ years. Here is my professional OPINION:
    You did not mention what cleanser and conditioner you’re using and typically that mixed with hereditary and other environmental factors such as foods, supplements are how you can determine which factors are most contributing to your oily scalp.
    Next, I would recommend a gentle clarifying cleanser like Gentle Giant by Cake or Niacinimine shampoo by Nutural
    Lastly, if you used heat protectant for the first 1-2 days, you do not need to reapply. Style your hair FIRST and then apply your dry shampoo. Your natural sebum (grease) is the best protection you will ever have for your hair.
    Final thoughts- that revlon wave iron is fun (I own it too) but it is not ceramic or ionic and is most likely the culprit of your damage in the mid-shaft and ends of your hair.
    Try Clean Freak by Not Your Mothers. It causes less build up on scalp than batiste. I find batiste to be one of the worst ones for my hair but if you’ve already tried NYM, you do you girl and use whatever works best for your hair! Good luck 🍀 and no dry shampoo is going to make your hair fall out ;)

    Shampoo causes the oil to spread quickly on the roots as it strips the natural oil and therefore has to compensate for it by producing extra oil to make up for the oil lost whilst washing.the oil or sebum is a natural conditioner, with the help of using a boar bristle brush, it helps move the oil from roots to tips and if you were to wash it, look for a less harsh detergent shampoo that doesn’t dry out hair and damage it,and silicone free conditioner

I think waiting actually did more damage than good on my hair. I've been washing every other day, stopped overusing dry shampoo, and reduced my hot tool use (that one's hard for me). But I've noticed such a difference!

      I heard training ur hair by extending the day u wash it by one helps ur hair cuz when u wash it, you remove oils and ur scalp produces the oil excessively since you wash every day. So if u extend the wash day slowly, your scalp will produce less oils.. there's how to videos on UA-cam, I just saw that this worked for some people

    My hair got greasy after one day and when I started using dry shampoo at first it was amazing! But I got hairloss indeed, I think I eventually even lost 1/3 of my hair. I think it was partially connected to the dry shampoo so I stopped. I think I overdid it. Now the hair is growing back slowly, but I really miss the dry shampoo. So sometimes I use it again, but I do notice some more hairloss again :'( So yes, my experience is that dry shampoo causes hair loss. I wished there was a quick solution that doesn't cause hairloss! Your hair looks beautiful btw :)

    With all respect, i think a lot of people avoid washing hair like it's their job. I asked a cosmetologist once and she said: if you wash your face every day, why do yoy find it weird to wash your scalp every day? I get that some people hace dry hair, but maybe they should use better products? Get rid of sls and sles and see what happens.

    • @euniceroman
      @euniceroman 4 роки тому +3

      As a licensed cosmetologist, I completely disagree.. it is very unhealthy to wash your hair everyday. The natural oils the scalp produces is extremely healthy for the hair follicles and the hair and is necessary. Technically, we shouldn't even be washing our bodies everyday either but who wants to do that?! LOL.

    • @AmandaBellaa
      @AmandaBellaa  4 роки тому +1

      There's a laundry list of reasons I shouldn't/prefer not to wash my hair everyday. I don't want to style it daily, my hair is colored and my stylist advised reducing washes, I don't want to strip the natural oils that often, my face & scalp are *very different*, the list goes on and on. I've tried so many products over the years - high end, drugstore, all natural, sls, sles, silicone free, paraben free, etc... and still struggle to find my perfect combo. Going 3-4 days between washes, utilizing dry shampoo one of those days, and opting for hats/headbands on the last day has been a good routine for me. Hair is soo tricky and everyones is very different, but this is just what has been working for me. I really appreciate you watching & sharing your feedback!

      Thanks so much for sharing, Euince! The hair struggle is real - but we all have to figure out what works best for us. If I can go 3-4 days without washing, I'm happy. But yeah, lets DEFINITELY keep washing our bods daily! LOL

    I would rather not use dry shampoo if I can wash. The ones I've seen contain butane (lighter fluid) and benzene, which can't be good to breathe or spray on your body daily. I prefer the clay powders that we sprinkle on our scalp or clay based styling/texture pastes to add volume to my roots, and absorb oils throughout the day. I think the danger is in the propellant, when I read the ingredients, it turned me off to the product. Benzene is a well known carcinogen.
