Definitely their most jazz influenced song. One of my favourites. I haven't checked and my memory is not great but I think John Paul Jones was the major songwriter. His songs always seem to have the best melodies.
Jimmy Page was The Mastermind behind developing all the music.. he wrote all the music and he produced/mixed it and recorded it in the studio and Robert Plant wrote some of the lyrics also
Someone already mentioned it and I agree. Check out "The Rain Song", studio version, especially if you find yourself diggin' their more sit back & chill, mellow side. Also, lyrically beautiful. Please : )
definitely but she should listen to the live version in Madison Square Garden because that song then goes straight into the Rain song man what a performance
Sweetie you blew another opportunity. The live version from the Madison Square Garden concert ( if it's still on You Tube) is even better than this. Please review it if you can. Also please review Jimi Hendrix's live performance of Voodoo Child from the Woodstock concert ! Better than Stevie Ray Vaughan s rendition
This song live at the Celebration day concert is incredible ! Best LZ song...
85 Led Zeppelin songs are in my top 5. 🤔
Absolutely love this song. Thank you for reacting to it!
Standing ovation indeed
Had MANY a headphone session with this one back in the day.

My holiday would be called "The Day After the Super Bowl."
In The Light....listen to that one.
This song is genius
Who needs hot sauce when we have this song is right!
