It took me longer than it should to realize how that voice-changer fooled me. I really thought Daniel switched the Singer. I love his unique "normal" voice, but i also loved that scratchy aggresive shouting voice and I hope he will once in a while tune that voice for a Song again ;-)
@@sgefrascz8123 There isn't a lot of distortion or FX on these vocals on this album. They're just layered with a bunch of compression. The reason I sound different now is because what I was doing then was not done properly or with any kind of technique and I was trashing my voice. In 2011 I started taking singing seriously and visiting vocal coaches in order to learn how to sing and scream properly. It's been a long road but I'm glad I took it. If I hadn't I would have ruined my vocal cords and ended my career very quickly.
@DaveyMcFly420 It's also pointless to sing into microphones that aren't plugged in, or rock out on an electric guitar with no amp, that never stopped anyone from doing it. Once you start taking this song and video too seriously, then you've missed the point entirely.
Daniel's completely different from most music performers of Industrial-pop, Aggro, Harsh-Electro who still performs at this level and just as much energy; no matter, how old or harsh the song.
Ya, really hard coming to terms that I discovered this so long ago. But that was on my first YT account, so I guess it makes sense. Damned time's flown too quickly. Surely, this can't be that old. Nooooo...ahhhhh. I feel like my brain's been displaced thru time as I'm overthinking this now. 🤯

Daniel has a gift, to be able to exude the "perfect look" to, just wanting to smash the World into pieces. Aesthetic Perfection is so underrated, that, it pisses me off, he doesn't get the recognition he deserves. This should be required listening for every angry teenager, going through those years of angst and frustration, when they think, nobody understands you or your perspective. I was once an at risk teenager and way back AP was my blood. I had the stickers on my black notebooks, full of the stuff my parents hated but didn’t understand. I introduced him to what few friends I had and some even still listen to him today. My tastes have changed somewhat, leaning more into stuff like Pure Obsessions and Red Nights, but I still follow Daniel’s work and still wear my Necessary Response shirt. I know this comment is 11 years ago, but 11 years ago I was 14 and exactly the kid you’ve described here. I was just recently adopted at this time by parents who didn’t think my previous trauma was real (the state had such little information about the case). Naturally, that makes an angsty kid. This stuff was my Bible and it got me through so much.
So many years later, still love this song. Think this was one of the first AP songs I ever heard when I was still a teenager. Times have changed, I've changed, but this song is still as awesome now as it was when I first heard it.
Thank you. Thank you for everything. Certain music thoughout ones life gives us the feeling like we're floating. "The ones", "Saint Peter", list goes on. Thank you. How much Aestetic Perfection is TOO much??? Trick question. There's NEVER ENOUGH!!!
I love this song, but man - I imagine recording the video was incredibly difficult. It makes me disoriented just watching it, I can't even begin to fathom how dizzy one could get being in the middle of all those strobe lights / light bulbs.
Close to Human Music - You must have much better eyes than me, haha. I have to close my eyes a lot when I go to concerts. Thank you for taking the time to reply to me, I do appreciate it! (:
Daniel provides the stems to a lot of his tracks for remixers to use. This is the only track of his that I'm stumped as to what to do with it. I think maybe I'll strip it down if I ever attack it. I don't think I can make it any heavier! Another thing that makes it tricky to remix is that there's no actual vocal melody. It's one note the whole time from what I can hear.
It's a shame more of Aesthetic Perfection's tracks aren't wake you up and stomp your feet bangers like this. Still good stuff, but this is my favorite from him that I have yet heard.
+Close to Human Music Hey thanks for keeping up with the comments! Yeah, can tell that from the other music I've heard. Still, often certain songs fit the listener's ears better than others given context, and when it comes to the aggressivenes this song completely stands number one haha. Great Depression gets my blood pressure up .More about tone than content really, same reason someone will enjoy "Fuck Industrial".
+Brian Gardner While I appreciate AP's work in all styles they do I tend to agree, I think he does this aggressive style the best and I wish he liked doing it more than he does.
@@ClosetoHumanMusic This is what I've always admired about what you've created in AP. Its evolution through time is a direct representation of what so many people go through in their own evolution throughout their lives. We all have certain things that move and drive us. And those things change, sometimes dramatically, throughout our lives as we either aspire and work to better ourselves or to rot in our own decay (sometimes those are one in the same). This, I believe, is the beauty of what AP has to offer. It is a mirror into our own lives. It reminds us to look inward to sit and ponder who we really are and what we truly believe. That's true power.
