Dear 11 year old me. We watched this video 14 years ago, back when life was so hard, when death seemed inevitable and a dream to escape the pain, you found music and didn't even know about genres of music yet.Just know, we survived, and were getting help, from all the pain, and have diagnosis now, we survived to 25 years old. And hardstyle your favorite genre of music, btw. Love future self.

I'm going to be a cringe music nerd for a while, while you're not wrong that goths aren't just depressed and dramatic, pong is in line with the industrial rivethead side of alternative subcultures. They are called "cybergoth" in clothing style but they aren't actually the goth subculture. That consists of people who listen to music like Sisters of Mercy and Bauhaus, along with deathrock like Christian Death. The "cybergoth" term actually originated from goths getting into industrial music, and then the genres got mixed up with one another despite being very different. There were lots of early crossover bands before these subcultures ever had names, and so they were deemed the same thing by uninformed outside media. Industrial eventually strayed further towards EDM and metal, and goth rock strayed more towards darkwave and dark post-punk. They're incredibly different genres and subcultures now. I like the name rivet head for this style of dress and subculture. I'm in both subcultures, and they've got different feels at shows, and the music is very different, as are the styles, so rivet heads deserve to be recognized as their own special thing rather than being needlessly lumped in with goths.

@@cherryblossom5373 this stuff never happened in the 80s and the music wasn't like this either (back when real goth existed), neither the fact that people wore that stuff cause they didn't. Mock these people all you want. But at least they have the guts to do what they love and make music they love. Anyone who makes fun of people because of the way they dress or dance is just a sad excuse of a person. Get over your self and enjoy what other people do for once.
FINALLY SOMEONE WITH COMMON SENSE 👏👏👏 PREACH IT YAS 🙌☺️
Its about time some one else had the same view point as me:)
All you guys liking this comment makes me happy to be human.
Amen to that ^_^
Well said ;D
It's been so long since the last time I listened to this and I am dying to slowly put together my cybergoth and play this for the whole day 😂 I still will wear the outfit when not listening to this music but since I was 14 I wanted to dress like her and dance to this and I'll be 24 in June so its about damn time I make this a thing!
great track, even after 13 years. Still love it.
Crazy to think in 10 years people will tell their kids about electronic music and call it “classic electronic music”
Just like how our elders listened to rock and then went on to tell us about “classic rock” when it gets brought up
Classic electronic has been around since the '70s; thought there was a golden age in the '90s.
Nah, Linkin Park is the one that’s going to be labeled as dadrock in the future.
Depressive Tangela lmao it’s already 20 something blue jeans and sketchers guy rock
Feel wierd thinking about that
Cant wait to pump some Daft Punk in the retirement home.
Its weird knowing this is how my parents used to look. They were Gothic ravers.
Hahaha I was one of them too lol! I remember listen to this song and dancing with my Neon Light sticks to it 😂😂 good old times
My parents were western to a T.... kinda weird dad walking around like a true cowboy.... it embarrassed me badly
So, were you an ecstasy baby?
Don't think so. Lol
@@cherryblossom5373 this stuff never happened in the 80s and the music wasn't like this either (back when real goth existed), neither the fact that people wore that stuff cause they didn't. Real goths wore vintage outfits(something like Peter Murphy or Dave vanian or even Siouxsie Sioux). Whatever you're talking about must've happened in the late 90s or the early 2000s or something.
14 years ago… Finally back here
After 10 year still live listening too that video every single days
I want some of what the drummer is on. He looks like he's trying desperately not to float into the astral plane
Underrated comment
I guess it takes shooting up bath salts to make a slow steady electric drum rhythm & 2 keyboards, look extremeish.
TheOldNorth I'm pretty sure they're all high LOL
Look closer. He's purposely acting all antsy pantsy to distract you from the fact the other two can't play piano. I heard music... but saw still steady fingers
+god raper serves em right. i was never a fan of the mouse guy. haven't listened to much, but what I did hear reminded me of the noises when the garbage truck outside struggles to lift the over filled dumpster.
the girl's outfit is cool af lol
Uhmm, maybe I'll check that out later
David Gabriel cyber goth style, the girl is Jenny.
+David Gabriel I also think so
True xD
+carsten leimann some women are predators!
I don't know how you manage to make pong look cool but you succeeded
Been a bit now, but that drummer kills me and makes my day every time I watch this.
I don't know why, but these well dressed dorks thwacking around an imaginary pixel for 5 minutes and 50 seconds filled me with so much serotonin
you're not the only one!!
"You have selected Microsoft Sam as the song's default voice"
I see what you were trying to type there, and I will correct it for you.
You have selected "Exotic Butters"
I love fancy butter, especially that grassfed free range stuff from Ireland :D
Fellipe Navarro I just died 😂
Arthas Menethil oh

Having the graphics go 3D at the same time as the song got heavier gave me a mindgasm.

They laughed at me when I wanted a gas mask. Now they ask where I bought it because it is "sooo cool, man!" 😂
I've always loved cyber goth fashion. Now people incorporate industrial/cyber/goth style into street wear, they call it tech wear, before that they called it health goth. Everything comes full circle.
@@cherrycolored98 Well...techwear is not even close to cybergoth. It is way different 😂 Fuckers look like street ninjas
I knew a dude about 15 years ago who walked around wearing a gas mask as a fashion accessory. He was almost universally mocked for it --- and to be fair, he did look like a twat.
