This is one of the things I love most about this line. The upgrade kits. Giving us options

It's nice to be able to go back to these reviews, to remember what parts are inter-changeable.

I used to have this Action Figure from the 80's among other 22 action figures of the Master of the Universe-Perryland S.Perry

I've always loved the look of King Hiss. Just wish there was a classic King Hiss figure that had the action feature of the vintage figure.

He's just ticked that his brother got eaten. Dude, get over it. It was in the past, and it sucks, we all loved him, too. He was delicious.

Amazing that this figure was only $20, 6 years ago! Now he sells for at least $40 in the after market.

I find it odd that his mid transformation head has teeth on his bottom jaw yet not on the full snake torso?

Fun fact about snakes: Unless the come out of an egg, they are neither slimy nor wet. Instead they are very warm and dry.

I would really like to find all 3 versions of King HISSS somehow, but I seriously doubt that I'll ever get lucky enough to run across any of them, much less all of them, for any kind of reasonable price...😕

  • @adamlucas64

ok. So you have to be a subscriber and be sent a link to but it? Then you have to buy the figure to get an accessory that you were originally supposed to get with the two pack that you already bought? An accessory that was cut, but promised? So, in retrospect, you have to be a subscriber to buy a figure to get an accessory that you should have already had. I know that this is a common practice with this line and others as well, but does anyone else see the problem here?

If those snake arms are what I think they are made out of they will break in time. If there is metal wire in there the metal wire breaks over time from repeated bending.

Just my opinion, but I think people sometimes lose sight of the fact that these figures are primarily intended as display pieces. In general, they're designed for maximum articulation and possibility, not necessarily rugged handling or play. The best thing to do with these figures IMHO is to pose them how you want them displayed and then not move them too much.
That said, even actual toys that are designed for kids to play with don't have unlimited durability or shelf life.

Not sure why they felt the need to add more snakes. There were only 5 in the show. Still looks cool, though.

+Miharu Watanabe Because it looks awesome. Also based on Earl Noram art more than the cartoon I think.

    • @nwobw

If you have a King Hsss figure to use with him, definetly. If not, he's worth $30 if you think he looks cool..

If a snake isn't slimy, it's probably sick and dying.

    • @neare

Marvin Harrison Smith II Snakes are not slimy because they are reptiles, not amphibians. Reptiles have dry scales and are not slimy in any way. Amphibians like frogs and toads have a slimy skin and not the scales that reptiles like lizards and such have.

This figure is responsible for the demise of MOTUC and led to Mattel selling the brand to Super7
