Another awsome video. ATV camping is my favorite thing to do. Wendel reminds us me of my jack Russell. She was a huge fan of the atv and bush camping. She loved to swim, could never keep her out of the water. Be safe my friend.

I too was considered an essential employee at that time, lucky us! lol.....Those sure are some nice trails. Wish we had more support for the quadding and ATV community here in Oregon. I would help all I could to support the clubs maintaining trail systems. I like reading the comments while listening to the talking, quad and other natural noises, thanks! Cool that you like making these kind of videos because they sure are entertaining to me. Quadding, camping, nature and good food with good company (Wendell), what else could be asked for? Hey man ! thanks again for watching and commenting ! I'm super surprised Oregon doesn't have more support, I've seen videos from there and it looks so beautiful ! Oh yeah this is my style of riding, more relaxed, enjoying the trip and checking out cool spots, unfortunately for me, it's not the more popular style of ATV videos on the internet haha more people like the mud, ripping up the land, loud machines, but I can't do that, I try to bring a better light to the ATV community. I think Canadians and the northern US are a lot alike to be honest, We can't have as cool guns as you guys have but you guys are some tough ass people too, I love the history of the wild west and people migrating north and trying to settle and the struggle between whites and native people, it's just amazing the history. I really dont know, with hot tenting I know the woodstove could cause some issues, so I just dont bother bringing the tent floor, I'd rather just the tarp and stuff. just personal preference I guess.
Awesome little trip you had there. I want to do this with my wife and son. Just we would need a sxs cause well stuff haha. Also I like my bacon where you can bend it and it wont break but not so soft where the fat isn't rendered. I usually do a square bacon weave which is perfect for breakfast BLT's.

Hey KC ! thanks buddy, it was a lot of fun ! Yes the trails were really soft and a lot of clubs closed their trails until it dries up. and now the government closed the trails b/c of the virus. So.... going to Costco, Walmart and the Mall is OK but ATV'ing by yourself isn't practicing social distancing lol
Great video and rant. Know a couple people that died from the virus, it as a month of torture. I'd love to trailer up there for week and ride those trails. Just beautiful.
Hey Craig ! Sorry to hear about that, I don't know a single person who has even had the virus.... it's such a weird thing b/c some ppl have it and never know, and others go through Hell or die... OH man you should for sure !! there is an endless amount of trails here, and you can buy day passes to go on them. you machine needs to be registered and insured though.
Trails closed here in Northern Wisconsin for the spring thaw but usually they open back up by May as things dry up.....but looks like fun out there...great video...stay safe👍
This is awesome, I sold my 2017 sportsman 850 and was gonna get a sxs but now leaning towards 2021 sportsman 850 or 2021 grizzly and this video made me wanna camp outdoors

@@Maritimer Yes I have seen the video you reference, but you hadn't nailed down the tent vent yet and updated wether you're pleased, after usage, with current set-up. NOW the important part, if drinking "a" beer, I like any-thing non-IPA that I haven't tried before. Not really a beer fan, I stock CANADIAN to have with a meal and a few Coors light for visitors. I like Bourbon, Irish whiskey and some rhums (BUMBU) for sipping on ice. Cheers and keep up the vids, we need the entertainment.

I have been watching all your videos.....really enjoy them....since I now have decided and ordered the 2021 grizzly...I’m looking to collect a kit for camping....which leads me to what stove are you using...and a better look at that sweet campfire top your father built for you....a nice slow pan of the unit so we can replicate it....why invent the wheel if you can borrow a good design...just order a set of the knock off chairs you use.... Would make a great video show your whole set up with brand names/model so we can duplicate your great experiences....lol thank you for the hard work

Hey Andrew ! thanks a lot man ! You should for sure ! Do lots of research, try and get the best gear you can afford and make sure you have lots of time to set up, collect wood. I figured you lived in Riverview with the last name Steeves. The tent is a Onetigris Ironwall tent, they make lots of different models, it's a good tent for the money (on the cheaper side) they actually contacted me to review some of their gear which is pretty cool. the Stove is a G-Stove, they are made in Norway but there is a dealer in Bear River nova Scotia, which makes the shipping cheap $50 but the stove is far from cheap..... you can look up gstove canada and check out pricing. there are WAY cheaper stoves, I think even Princess Auto has a small stove there. I hope that helps ya !

I love Chris Brothers but my Favourite is 2 Boys Smokehouse, it's in Cole Harbour NS, if your ever down there you should go in for a mixed deli meat sandwich, they are unreal. plus greta pepperoni. The Stove is a G-Stove, they are made in Norway, 100% Stainless steel. luckily there is a dealer in Bear River, Nova Scotia, So I ordered from them and Shipping was only $50.

I actually have a video on my channel about my winter camping tent/stove - ua-cam.com/video/-jArjaIkjrY/v-deo.html the tent is a Onetigris Iron Wall tent - it's a decent tent, on the cheaper side for winter camping b/c it's regular tent material and not Canvas or Insulated at all. but there are many other types it all depends on how much you want to spend. My stove is a G-Stove, its 100% stainless steel and build quality is through the roof. they are made in Norway but there was a dealer in my neighbouring Province and shipping was cheap. The Stove was not cheap.... I opted to pay extra to have the little window in the door, and all of it came to like $400+ CAD. It should last a lifetime. There are cheaper stoves, ones made from plain old press steel, and they work good as well, but eventually will rot away. I hope that helps, I may do a video on all my Winter camping gear in the future.

26:30 don't stab that stake lol... all the juices can escape now and it will dry out. Put in on the fire, leave for 3-4minutes, turn around, agfain 3-4 minutes and from then it depends on how you want it to eat... If it's warm in the center but still red its good to go. But damn so jealous... I have a grizzly 700 as well but wild camping is not allowed here in Belgium... And even so, it doesn't snow here anymore lol... At least not in the Dutch part of Belgium... PS thanks for showing the beers you had. I have a beer app called untapp'd on my phone. Got 420 different beers, all from Belgium or around. Bit I'll add them to my list...

More like the law... I live in the Dutch part of Belgium. In the Frensh or German part it's more allowed. They also have more forests in those parts lol... There is another UA-camr who does ATV camping trips, more Bushcraft channel but he makes good videos, and he's a super nice guy. So i have a question. What do you do when you are ready to pack up the stove. Do you carry it outside and dump it and then let it cool? How long does it take to cool usually.
Hey man, yeah I will let the fire burn out (doesn't usually take too long b/c it's smaller logs) then I will go dump it out in a wet area, make sure the coals are fully out. then I will sit the stove outside with the door open and just let the metal cool down. it doesn't take too long.
it hasn't yet, and I hope it doesn't haha I usually try to cook earlier in the day, clean everything and let the smell go away. I keep my trash and cooler away from camp usually too.

Oh yeah those Rubicons are a solid solid bike but they aren't the most forgiving in the trails.... I remember my fathers Rincon being a Very smooth bike. but sounds like a SXS might be best.

Nice video. Thanks for sharing. You're right about all of the Canola virus stuff. I'm glad all of that stuff has leveled out and were back to business as usual. I too was considered an essential employee at that time, lucky us! lol.....Those sure are some nice trails. Wish we had more support for the quadding and ATV community here in Oregon. I would help all I could to support the clubs maintaining trail systems. I like reading the comments while listening to the talking, quad and other natural noises, thanks! Cool that you like making these kind of videos because they sure are entertaining to me. Quadding, camping, nature and good food with good company (Wendell), what else could be asked for? Besides, the time to do it and and the money to afford it. Like these comments say and suggest, you Canadians sure are some tough people. No socks in the snow...freezing temps lol. Bacon? Just like you cooked it, is how We enjoy ours. I will try the Bighorn 1.0s when I have to replace my Grizzly 700 tires, thanks. Off to find more utility quadding videos, lol.

Oh yeah this is my style of riding, more relaxed, enjoying the trip and checking out cool spots, unfortunately for me, it's not the more popular style of ATV videos on the internet haha more people like the mud, ripping up the land, loud machines, but I can't do that, I try to bring a better light to the ATV community.
I think Canadians and the northern US are a lot alike to be honest, We can't have as cool guns as you guys have but you guys are some tough ass people too, I love the history of the wild west and people migrating north and trying to settle and the struggle between whites and native people, it's just amazing the history.

I really dont know, with hot tenting I know the woodstove could cause some issues, so I just dont bother bringing the tent floor, I'd rather just the tarp and stuff. just personal preference I guess.

Awesome little trip you had there. I want to do this with my wife and son. Just we would need a sxs cause well stuff haha. Also I like my bacon where you can bend it and it wont break but not so soft where the fat isn't rendered. I usually do a square bacon weave which is perfect for breakfast BLT's.

So.... going to Costco, Walmart and the Mall is OK but ATV'ing by yourself isn't practicing social distancing lol

Trails closed here in Northern Wisconsin for the spring thaw but usually they open back up by May as things dry up.....but looks like fun out there...great video...stay safe👍

@@Maritimer Yes I have seen the video you reference, but you hadn't nailed down the tent vent yet and updated wether you're pleased, after usage, with current set-up. NOW the important part, if drinking "a" beer, I like any-thing non-IPA that I haven't tried before. Not really a beer fan, I stock CANADIAN to have with a meal and a few Coors light for visitors. I like Bourbon, Irish whiskey and some rhums (BUMBU) for sipping on ice. Cheers and keep up the vids, we need the entertainment.

I have been watching all your videos.....really enjoy them....since I now have decided and ordered the 2021 grizzly...I’m looking to collect a kit for camping....which leads me to what stove are you using...and a better look at that sweet campfire top your father built for you....a nice slow pan of the unit so we can replicate it....why invent the wheel if you can borrow a good design...just order a set of the knock off chairs you use....

Hey Andrew ! thanks a lot man ! You should for sure ! Do lots of research, try and get the best gear you can afford and make sure you have lots of time to set up, collect wood.
I figured you lived in Riverview with the last name Steeves. The tent is a Onetigris Ironwall tent, they make lots of different models, it's a good tent for the money (on the cheaper side) they actually contacted me to review some of their gear which is pretty cool. the Stove is a G-Stove, they are made in Norway but there is a dealer in Bear River nova Scotia, which makes the shipping cheap $50 but the stove is far from cheap..... you can look up gstove canada and check out pricing. there are WAY cheaper stoves, I think even Princess Auto has a small stove there. I hope that helps ya !

I think safflower oil has one of the highest smoke points. I use it on my cast iron. Flavor is more neutral too I think for steak.

I love Chris Brothers but my Favourite is 2 Boys Smokehouse, it's in Cole Harbour NS, if your ever down there you should go in for a mixed deli meat sandwich, they are unreal. plus greta pepperoni. The Stove is a G-Stove, they are made in Norway, 100% Stainless steel. luckily there is a dealer in Bear River, Nova Scotia, So I ordered from them and Shipping was only $50.

the tent is a Onetigris Iron Wall tent - it's a decent tent, on the cheaper side for winter camping b/c it's regular tent material and not Canvas or Insulated at all. but there are many other types it all depends on how much you want to spend. My stove is a G-Stove, its 100% stainless steel and build quality is through the roof. they are made in Norway but there was a dealer in my neighbouring Province and shipping was cheap. The Stove was not cheap.... I opted to pay extra to have the little window in the door, and all of it came to like $400+ CAD. It should last a lifetime. There are cheaper stoves, ones made from plain old press steel, and they work good as well, but eventually will rot away. I hope that helps, I may do a video on all my Winter camping gear in the future.
@@Maritimer Hey thanks for the reply. I currently live in northern NJ but grew up 4 Wheeling, riding dirt bikes & snowmobiles. Generally anything outdoors. Need to get back to it now that I have time again. love the area that you live in and the access to trails. looking for a place out in the sticks that I can have easy access to riding. 26:30 don't stab that stake lol... all the juices can escape now and it will dry out. Put in on the fire, leave for 3-4minutes, turn around, agfain 3-4 minutes and from then it depends on how you want it to eat... If it's warm in the center but still red its good to go. But damn so jealous... I have a grizzly 700 as well but wild camping is not allowed here in Belgium... And even so, it doesn't snow here anymore lol... At least not in the Dutch part of Belgium... PS thanks for showing the beers you had. I have a beer app called untapp'd on my phone. Got 420 different beers, all from Belgium or around. Bit I'll add them to my list...

More like the law... I live in the Dutch part of Belgium. In the Frensh or German part it's more allowed. They also have more forests in those parts lol... It's more relaxed in those parts, living like god in france I guess 😉

Hey man ! yeah I'm familiar with Oromocto, are you in the Military? I wanna come ride up there sometime, I work north of Fredericton quite a bit, there is lots of wilderness there. There is another UA-camr who does ATV camping trips, more Bushcraft channel but he makes good videos, and he's a super nice guy. He's also in your neck of the woods and in the Military, feel free to check him out and say I sent ya. Joshua Gammon is his name on UA-cam.
@@Maritimer I will def go check him out. I’m not in the military, I live in a small spot between oromocto and Fredericton..pretty secluded but trails for miles. I like to go on long trips and camp over nights fish that kind of thing. If you’re ever in the area shoot me a message we can go for a tour around.

So i have a question. What do you do when you are ready to pack up the stove. Do you carry it outside and dump it and then let it cool? How long does it take to cool usually.
Hey man, yeah I will let the fire burn out (doesn't usually take too long b/c it's smaller logs) then I will go dump it out in a wet area, make sure the coals are fully out. then I will sit the stove outside with the door open and just let the metal cool down. it doesn't take too long.
Great video my one question is at anytime ur out camping does cooking ur food ever attract any animals
it hasn't yet, and I hope it doesn't haha I usually try to cook earlier in the day, clean everything and let the smell go away. I keep my trash and cooler away from camp usually too.

Oh yeah those Rubicons are a solid solid bike but they aren't the most forgiving in the trails.... I remember my fathers Rincon being a Very smooth bike. but sounds like a SXS might be best.
