Fantastic video Sam. You’re a better man than I am. Too damn cold for me, brother. This is a much better way too enjoy it, watching it, while drinking my preferred beverage. And too answer your question Leatherman Surge, buy once cry once, guaranteed forever. Thanks Mrs Bananas for letting him out, but hold his leash a little if you think the forest may come down.
Michael thanks man! Always nice to see ya I appreciate the support and I will definitely check out that LM Surge. Others have recommended it as well 👍👍
Great video. Love your attitude. I can’t wait for the snow to start flying here, and to finally get back to winter camping myself, whether hot or cold tenting, it’s always a blast.
Watching this makes me crave doing something similar in the near future. Winter camping in Western New York can be awesome even without the luxury of a hot tent. Done it many times! Keep doing your thing.
Leatherman Wave+! I rocked the original wave EDC for over 20yrs. I used it hard. Just upgraded to the + recently and it rocks. Great video! Thanks for sharing my friend 🤠
I love winter camping or at least I used to. My go to multi tool is a military issued Gerber. It has replaceable cutting jaws. Great video. The snow trail looks like it is here in Mich. Trees are all bent over from the snow weight.
Sammy, you know me by now pretty well I think......but umm, my life is in utter turmoil.....I kid you not man! But, your videos provide me solace and peace for a few minutes.....I thank you for that Sammy! I really do!!! You are genuine! 👍👍😉😃
I like that tent very well. Having an outside area away from the bedroom. Worked perfectly for eating, relaxing, and watching the stove. Very scenic area-- the frozen lake. A good adventure.
Wow Sam! Awesome adventure! Loved that setting by the lake. Would be fun to spend a couple nights there. I'm an old guy and have a bit of advice, giving those snow covered branches across the trail a whack with a hiking stick (ski poles) will shed the snow and they pop back up, easier to get around. Also less snow on and down your neck. Love your use of the sleigh, I always wanted to do that. Keep it up and I'll keep watching.
Leatherman wave 1 or 2, i like to say buy once, cry once! I've used mine for 14 years, everything from plumbing to cutting branches for wilderness fires. When it gets to dirty, i spread all the tools out and stick it in the dishwasher. Perfectly new when done.
Bro I hope this all works out for you, bcuz I love the regular videos, I always look forward to the watch, and am never let down.. hello Mrs. Bananas… very best 🍻
Get a bivy bag for a sleeping bag. It's probably best to go straight for military snowshoes. The magnesium ones . I have the ones everyone buys and they don't work as good as the military ones. Or the wooden ones which I think you could make easy enough. Sleep pad? I use isoliner for winter. The bivy for my bag is a m-1951 water proof shell. With a fleece inner bag or even a jungle bag or simple summer bag inside. It's still good for winter. But I don't camp past 10 below.
Fantastic video Sam. Great setup. It sure was pretty with all the snow on the trees. But such a hard trek and scary with all the falling trees. Thanks for powering through it for us. I appreciate it so much. You bring the outdoors to us who can't get out to enjoy it. 😊👍
I am a big fan of the SUPER TOOL® 300 EOD. Made by Gerber. I carry mine everyday. I also upgraded to a kydex holster style sheath for it off of Amazon. I like how it can be deployed One handed the pliers part at least.
Heyy Sam beautiful I like the snow covered trees, the aerial footage of the frozen lake gorgeous, glad you made it back to your car safe, stay safe and warm
I love winter camping in a hot tent with a stove!! Can’t wait to get out winter camping in October. Winter starts early in northern Ontario so I’ll be heading a few hrs up north Algonquin park way most likely at least once a month! Great video Sam
Favorite multi tool by far is my victornox. Expensive at over $100 but lifetime warranty and pliers. Can’t beat a lifetime warranty. Had mine for only 4 years maybe five, but never had an issue with ANY victornox product.
Great location Sam. I take a car windshield reflective shade to put under my Paria air mattress (4.7 R value). Folds up small and keeps the cold from rising.
Leatheman Arc is the way to go. I’ve not really been excited about multi tools but this one is definitely the pinnacle. Has a really really good blade. I’m going for one myself. Could things I’d recommend using that tent. On the sides there is two guy outs. Use those. It gives you a bunch of room on the sides. As well ground cloth and since your sledding in. Get yourself couple grill mats to put down for a snow barrier. What I’m using same tent. Been out four times this winter. Recent round was a low of -1°f. Gear held up. However that’s just to cold to really relax and enjoy. That’s FAFO weather. I’ve done lows of 30, 25, 15 and -1. 25 is the best temp for a good time. With all that. Excellent video! Look forward to the next one.
This is one of my favorite camping videos you made its so white and fluffy bright snow. Maybe you make another this coming winter. I see an 8 month old comment I made below
Just curious, is there a reason besides weight that you don't use a ground cloth with the hot tent on the areas not directly under the stove? BTW, great video!
That was a humdinger of a camp. Good food, nice warm place to sleep. It takes some effort to get all that wood gathered and processed. Maybe you could try burning some hardwood pellets in that stove.
This one looks like it's going to be great. I gotta tell ya, Sam, when I lose inspiration to camp, film and especially edit, one of your videos pops up and I can't wait to get back in the game. Thanks for still doing what you do. (I'll see how this plays out after I feed the dogs)
Beautiful place albeit frosty Eh. Would love to go hot tent camping when I Become a snow bird .In Florida I am we have to cold tent camp here.Ijust love your channel your can-do attitude is infectious thanks man You Rock!!!!
Ciders are a nice break from beer. I've only had the hard cider Strongbow (before they got bought by a conglomerate and changed their formula). I prefer them more on the dry side, like a champagne. Some of them are just too sugary.
Wanted to comment more, our Internet is really slow tonight so got on phone. Leatherman is really good stuff. I can't believe how much snow we all got. In a pinch, you can strap some small pine needle branches on your shoes for snow shoes Did you bring the snow cleats?
I have several Leatherman they are great but Swiss Army makes a really nice one too. But, can’t go wrong with the Leatherman, be ready they aren’t cheap
i have had the same Gerber that some of my children bought me in 2003. dude i would have cheated on the fire. i take those fire logs that i get on clearance sale and cut them up into smaller pieces to start my fires. i really like your drone footages.
Multitools: so many options, I rock a Victorinox Handyman and a Benchmade Bugout...seems to solve the things I need to do. Cheers from Queensland, Australia, it is hot as hell here but obviously the opposite for you guys in USA...keep safe.
Another fine video with the very down-to-earth and relateable Sam. I, too, wondered why there was no groundsheet, but as I watched you, warm and comfortable, simply pulling the long logs into the tent to cut there, I realized it was a smart move. You would have been wet and freezing cold had you done all that chopping and splitting outside. I'm glad you had the sled, too. Doesn't matter what it cost or where it's from - it's saving your back alot of grief down the road, Well done!

Pack in some coal next time 20 or 30 pounds of coal for the night unless you just want the full survival experience
Setting up all those establishing shots on that tiring trek back out really shows a lot of your dedication to the art of cinematography.
My favorite multi-tool is my Gerber. I have had it for 20 years. Not 1 single issue.
Great video as usual.
So many great camping channels on UA-cam. Sam is one of them.
You are totally correct 😊
Meaning many camping channels 😅
Fantastic video Sam. You’re a better man than I am. Too damn cold for me, brother. This is a much better way too enjoy it, watching it, while drinking my preferred beverage. Michael thanks man! Always nice to see ya I appreciate the support and I will definitely check out that LM Surge. Others have recommended it as well 👍👍
Thank God, Sam Bananas has a new vid! You saved the day.
I thought I was on the wrong channel for a moment... Then I remembered that snow is just cold rain. 😆
My thoughts exactly :)
Ha
Sam always gets it, one way or another 😅
Sometimes it happens! I seen it!
It wouldn't be camping with Sam bananas if it wasn't raining.... In some fashion frozen or not!
Great video Sam. Love that hot tent setup. The drone view was spectacular. Well done my friend.
Great video, Sam! Loved the toboggan idea and completely enjoyed this adventure beginning to end!
Great video Sam, keep up the good work 👏
Keep it up man, your content is always fun!

Thanks for watching!
Great video. Love your attitude. I can’t wait for the snow to start flying here, and to finally get back to winter camping myself, whether hot or cold tenting, it’s always a blast.
Me too! The weather is predicting a bit this week 🤞
Thanks for posting the video Sam. I’m going to enjoy it now.👍

PS sorry to hear that my man. It's been getting tough to answer comments, I wanted to make sure I saw you and responded. Keep your head up bud 👊
What a beautiful day! Love the hot tent. I want to try this next winter.
Sam.. your channel is absolutely one of my favorites. Keep being amazing. ❤
Thank you! Will do!
Maybe a tarp on the ground in the tent away from the stove?
Naraly trek out of there Sam. Yikes. Thanks for taking us along for the adventure.
I like that tent very well. Having an outside area away from the bedroom. Worked perfectly for eating, relaxing, and watching the stove. Very scenic area-- the frozen lake. A good adventure.
Glad you liked it!
It’s so beautiful but looks so cold
Great video Sam.. Love tent camping in winter snow like this... Blakes Orchard is in my hometown growing up...

Another sick video. Killing it Mr. Bananas. The dude abides!

Thanks for the tips! I'm currently looking into that now.
@CampingwithSamBananas love your videos, btw. It's always fun to watch with a beer in hand. Keep it up!

Very nice 👍
Just had surgery on my broken arm after almost 2 weeks, time to light upa joint and hang out with you in the snow. Thanks for another great one.
👍
That was a nice campsite with beautiful views of the lake and all.
Sam, Leachman Wave Plus in S/S is a Great lil multi tool.
Great location Sam. I take a car windshield reflective shade to put under my Paria air mattress (4.7 R value). Folds up small and keeps the cold from rising.
That's a great idea!
This is cool relaxing video iv watched this video at night for background noise. Your 4k view from above in the beginning of this video is very awsom
Thanks!

Great video sam, really like the winter storm vids!
This is one of my favorite camping videos you made its so white and fluffy bright snow. Maybe you make another this coming winter. I see an 8 month old comment I made below
Dude I'm glad you like it! I'm definitely looking forward to hot tent camping this winter and I'll be doing a lot more of it this year for sure.
Just curious, is there a reason besides weight that you don't use a ground cloth with the hot tent on the areas not directly under the stove? BTW, great video!
5 more minutes to sauté the onion and jalapeño would have been a game changer.
Love the snow and nice scenery. Great video.
Thanks 👍
Just found your channel. Love your energy! Looking forward to seeing more adventures.
Welcome aboard!
That was a humdinger of a camp. Good food, nice warm place to sleep. It takes some effort to get all that wood gathered and processed. Maybe you could try burning some hardwood pellets in that stove.
Great video. I'm really enjoying your content.
Enjoyed the video as usual. How many times can you use one of those little stoves before they burn through ? Just curious. Thanks.
Beautiful‼️❣️‼️Such great photos of this lovely snow storm and landscape 🤗🙏🏼💙❣️
Thanks so much!
Amazing content as always. Well played sir:)
Very smart using the air pump to get the fire going 👏
Your videos are so chill and relaxing brother! Great job! Chris from Oklahoma...
Awesome! Thank you!
This one looks like it's going to be great. I gotta tell ya, Sam, when I lose inspiration to camp, film and especially edit, one of your videos pops up and I can't wait to get back in the game. Thanks for still doing what you do. (I'll see how this plays out after I feed the dogs)

Sam that was a winter wonderland the tent you had was it warm in that tent while you sleep
Already looking forward to winter camping this year
Nice one Sam. I'm heading out on my first solo hot tent adventure next week. Keep 'em coming buddy.
Good luck!
Oh man, yes we got hammered by snow and extreme cold. Food looks great I will have to try that for burgers instead of the bread.
Wanted to comment more, our Internet is really slow tonight so got on phone.
Leatherman is really good stuff.
I can't believe how much snow we all got.
In a pinch, you can strap some small pine needle branches on your shoes for snow shoes
Did you bring the snow cleats?
Thank you, Sam, I enjoy your camping video that tent was one of a kind the stove had kept you warm
Dude I got tired just watching you work!
Bud this trip was awesome love watching ya keep it up 👍🏻
Hi Sam...have fun...I love to try some of that beer...it looks really good!!! No snow where I am never...lol
❤ what a GORGEOUS Winter Wonderland ❤
Sam i’d like to hear some discussion about a tent “floor” even if talking about a tarp . thanks
Any Leatherman, mine is going on 6 years. Great stuff man!
You are great at this stuff Sam
I have several Leatherman they are great but Swiss Army makes a really nice one too. But, can’t go wrong with the Leatherman, be ready they aren’t cheap

Great video, Sam. That burger looked good. The snow was so beautiful but that down tree was so scary. Please keep safe. 👋🏼 Mrs. B😊
haha, totally know what you mean when you talked about getting "lost in the camp" and forgetting about time
Nice to see ya Kev!
I love this one, Sam
I would like to know how heavy is your pack with out the camera gear?
that front is not far enough down to block the wind. are you constantly getting cold blasts?
No it's plenty warm.
Another fine video with the very down-to-earth and relateable Sam. Beautiful view! What's the music playing at the end? I loved it!
Thanks! Music is in the description
get the Gerber multi tool. I can guarantee that you will be completely satisfied with it
