I'll check doublechecking to see if it works at my local grocery store later today in fact. There is a section on the watch titled, "Membership Card" and both the Amazfit Balance and Cheetah Pro have it. I don't recall if I said during this video, oh, nope I did not. For about six hours after I finished filming it the Cheetah Pro arrived in the mail and I unboxed it in the car while my wife was driving. That video will be coming out either tomorrow or something this week.
There are 8 different static watches Users can choose from after AOD is enabled. Or Users can choose to use the AOD (always-on display) version derived off the actual watchface. Yeah, it is pretty cool. Battery life with AOD enabled, raise-to-wake, and a good hour of GPS should yield about 3 to 5 days based upon my initial testing.
@PeterHerget ok. I know earlier watches only had 3 options. I prefer to be able to show the face you see like Samsung Galaxy watches...but their battery life sucks. Perhaps consider making a video with that functionality. Thank you.
We shall see... A dear friend of mine went into the hospital for surgery; ergo, I skipped my workout. All going well on the morrow: 1. running around the track in circles and doing an intense "sprint" workout 2. 1,000 meters in the pool 3. 15 kilometer road bike (with some intense 1K sprints) I'll be wearing the Garmin fēnix 7X Pro with a chest HR sensor for the baseline of accuracy of which to compare the Amazfit heart-rate data.

@@PeterHerget just another question!!! What made you choose coros and balance instead of ticwatch? Battery life, apps, precision? What about the balance screen? Is hard enough to hold some scratches?
The only thing making me hesitate buying this watch (and the gtr4 at the time) is it's not a sapphire lens. Do you find the lens being pretty resistant?
Yes, I too have the exact conundrum with any wearable. The fancy ÕURA Ring generation 3.0 in "rose gold" was a gorgeous smartring with many promises. All is all it was just a design change with the precise features as the slate gen3 I had purchased seven months prior. And after just one week after the rose gold shiny beauty landed on my hands, oh yeah, scratches galore! As for the Balance timepiece Amazfit just released, yes, it should have been designed with a sapphire crystal lens. I am going over to a local store called, ZAGG. To purchase a lens cover. The glass lens still looks mint condition after seven days, but it is quite exposed. If I worked for Amazfit, Garmin, Apple, Fitbit, Samsung, COROS, Polar, Suunto, Mobvoi, or many others, oh yeah, I would highly recommend to the Product Team to verify there is an option for customer to choose a "sapphire watch face lens" in the checkout. I truly don't think it would be a cost of more than $15.00 to the customer and yet still allow Amazfit to make a few $$$ off each watch. And nope, seven days later not yet a scratch. I am outdoors a ton, hiking, cycling, walking the dog, working in the yard, working on my car, and just life is dangerous for any smart jewelry...
The Amazfit Balance may be less expensive than Samsung and or Garmin, but is feature rich. The recover hours post workout are on the generous side by several hours when compared to a COROS or a Garmin smart sports watch. I need many more days, and perhaps, a solid two weeks with the Balance timepiece on my wrist before I will know how truly accurate, and consistent, its health analytics are for Human Users 🤞
Thanks and sorry, or perhaps, not sorry. That video was not sponsored by anyone but, Viewers like you... Amazfit sent me the watch as a review until with no strings attached and no money, not even a gift card, was exchanged.

Some beautiful sunny Utah skies there on the I-15 North that morning, Does this watch support music playback through its speaker and does it have an accurate jumpo rope counter?
Thank you, and glad you enjoyed the gorgeous view of Utah. Yes, the Balance smartwatch is a true smartwatch in a plethora of ways. And unlike the Apple Watch ULTRA 2.0 that forces you to purchase AirPods to enjoy the 998 MP3 songs still living on that thumbdrive from Christmas 2011, YES, the Amazfit Balance is able to use both its internal speakers to play music or connect via Bluetooth headphones/earpods. The music quality is not too shabby for internal speaker audio. As for the "accurate rope counter", well... I don't have a jump rope at this time, but Amazon.com is bringing me one sometime over the next 2 - 7 business days. When it arrives, yep, I shall resume jumping rope for a fabulous cardio workout and test that Amazfit feature in a gadget review video, post it, and you shall have your answer. If you have enough budget, yeah, I could see that the Garmin vivoactive 5 has many great features, but for the price I feel the Amazfit is a close competitor as a smartwatch. An Amazfit Balance does not have the option for the human to ask it questions, but it does respond to voice prompts to open apps. I'll have a video about those cool features on the Balance soon...
@@PeterHerget Today I was in the store to look at the Vivoactive 5 to know how they really look. But the Vivoactive 5 is so very tiny that it's not for a man's hand or a woman's hand, maybe it's more for a child at school... So Amazfit Balance will be better for me.
I wonder if the watch counts steps and meters climbed in the car as well. I have a Huawei GT Runner, I work as a driver, and the watch calculates about 2000 steps, per working time in the car. I look at my watch while driving and see how the steps are increasing. Furthermore, depending on where I'm driving, they calculate an elevation gain of 600 - 1000m. Even though I physically climb three floors. I already have them for the third complaint and I don't believe it will get any better. Is it better in amazfit balance? Is it possible to try it?
I do enjoy testing watches and your comments are of interest... I'll give the Balance another go with specifically looking at my flights of stairs and step county. Do you have another watch in mind you'd like it compared with? A COROS, Garmin, or an Apple?
@@PeterHerget You don't have to compare them with others, just try if they count steps and climbed floors while driving in a car. If when you drive the car uphill, if the barometer counts it as climbing stairs, like Huawei. (I have a typo in the question, "The Huawei watch counts my steps while driving, up to 2000 steps per working hour.")
So, the Amazfit Balance wants to, and tries, to count my fights of stairs, but at the end of the day, nope, it is not accurate with flights of stairs. And the COROS Pace 3 suffers the same, but COROS is more consistent and counties 400% more flights of stairs than Amazfit.
It measures body composition the same way that it runs an ECG by running a small amount of electricity through you probably very close to the way Samsung does it
Hooray for enthusiasm. I am unboxing the Amazfit Smart Scale later today and I've been using the Garmin Index 2 smart scale for over four months. And oh yeah, I have collected a plethora of data. I even scheduled an appointment with a health expert later this week to have my body measured with expensive instrument. Have you heard of those egg-shaped Bod Pods?
@@PeterHerget Hey Peter great review! I am seriously considering buying this watch and I am very curious about the body measurements. As you said you were gonna be tested with an expensive medical device and also that you had collected lots of data from Garmin, how would you compare data quality from the Amazfit Balance to those more expensive devices in terms of body composition metrics? Thanks in advance!
I am finally about to do that comparison, and then the OnePlus Watch 2.0 showed up in my Post Office Box today, sorry... I have the following test planned for next week: 1. wearing the Samsung Galaxy Watch6 Classic on my left 2. wearing the Amazfit Balance on my right I am going to wear both timepieces for 88 hours straight along with a few smartrings. And each morning and evening I'll do the body measurements, film a fun video, and then share those clips along with my quasi expert advice within the Social Media Realm. You can expect the video around 03/25/2024 @@pabloff18 🤞
Is it possible to start/stop the running activity or the stopwatch by the physical buttons, or you only can use the display? It is dealbreaker for me as a track runner.
That is one pithy question, thank you for asking. I gave the watch to a friend of mine for a long three-year test. I will ask him and then reply back to you again. How does that sound, eh?
Do you still use the amaze fit Balance? I just rebought it after all the updates and I even have a series 9, ultra 2, Garmin 255 and a 265 but enjoying this very much especially since I have been researching PAI scores.
Yes, the Amazfit Balance is around my right wrist this very second. I am torn between the Balance or the Cheetah Pro for they both are excellent timepieces. Yeah, the Garmin 200 series are nice too. The PAI scoring was lame back in 2020 through 2023, but over the last five months, yes, I have grown to enjoy reaching 100 PAI :)
If anyone should know it should be you. I’ve always used Garmins and Apple and I researched PAI. It makes sense. Are there any other watches which track PAI?
Yes, yes there are, I just cannot think of any for it is 22:08 here in Utah my brain is full. If any come to mind over the weekend, yes, I'll post something.
If you are new to both COROS or Amazfit, yes, they are both amazing. Overall, the COROS Pace 3 is geared more towards athletes of which car about: 1. heart-rate accuracy 2. GPS accuracy 3. run, walk, cycle, and other comment workout accuracy & detailsJ 4. an expensive smart sports watch And Amazfit Balance is still accurate for running, walking, cycling, and more, but not as accurate as the Pace 3.0 for only $230.00 USD. I'll be doing a side-by-side video comparison sometime next week. Can you wait another seven days before your spend your $200.00 from Santa?
I am wearing the COROS Pace 3 again today and starting a video to compare the healthy, nerdy, and quite awesome statistics against the Amazfit Cheetah Pro. My friend is truly liking the Amazfit Balance; ergo, he'll be wearing it for another fortnight to gain the full experience. Thank you for your patience and the Cheetah Pro vs. Pace 3 should be an excellent story...
Hooray! The AZ Balance is quite cool, comfortable to wear, and the accuracy for a $250.00 wearable, well... it is fantastic. When you pay more than $400.00 you'll get slightly more consistent accuracy, a plethora of bells & whistles, a sapphire screen, sometimes two watchbands in the box, and still a one-year warranty. The COROS Pace 3 is only $229.00 USD and as of today, yes, the same price at the Amazfit Balance. When it comes to battery life, yes, the Pace 3 wins by a week! COROS utilizes a lovely LCD screen that is always on, they have dozens for free, clever watch faces, and the accuracy of GPS, heart-rate, steps, is about 15% more consistent than Amazfit. I don't know about you, but 15% is not that much after a few months. The Amazfit Balance has more smart features, an app store, family & friends, you can talk to it, integrates with Alexa, it measures your body fat directly from the watch, alas, it is more for a fun viewpoint and not as trustworthy as a $200.00 smart-scale. Amazfit also tracks your naps, but they don't know what to do with that data like the ŌURA Ring folks from Finland. All in all, yes, they are both watches. The longest I get off one charge with the "Balance" is about 7 days, with AOD (Always-on Display), the "Balance" lasts me a good three days (with much GPS, two days). Another fun features is the auto-start workout that Amazfit created for the T-Rex 2, Falcon, Cheetah, Cheetah Pro, and the Balance. I simply walk outside my door and begin running, walking, cycling, and more. COROS does not that yet, but on the PACE 3 it takes less than a 45 seconds to click, choose the workout, collect satellite signals, and all while you're still tying your shoes... I am happy to explain any other features in detail in the video, what other questions do you have, eh?
Hİ, Great video. I am going to buy this amazfit balance or huawei gt3 pro. Do you know about gt3 pro?.which one is better? And whats the screen hertz? is it 60? I dont know about smart watches hertzes so much but some of them have 120 hertz I think. I will be very happy if you answer my questionss.
I tested, wore, and did a video about a Huawei watch and I would stay away from Huawei. I felt their sensors were of poor hardware construction, the app was messy, and I did not like the watch. The Amazfit Balance is a much better quality wearable for the $200.00 price tag. amzn.to/3ICHABi

😍 cant get enough of these reviews !any way cant wait for more ! And I am super curious how body far measurments work !
Yes, you are... CORRECT! Thanks for chiming in, @GottaGeek.
I have the following test planned for next week:
1. wearing the Samsung Galaxy Watch6 Classic on my left
2. wearing the Amazfit Balance on my right
I am going to wear both timepieces for 88 hours straight along with a few smartrings. And each morning and evening I'll do the body measurements, film a fun video, and then share those clips along with my quasi expert advice within the Social Media Realm. You can expect the video around 03/25/2024

What are you thoughts on balance vs the coros pace 3?
If you are new to both COROS or Amazfit, yes, they are both amazing. Overall, the COROS Pace 3 is geared more towards athletes of which car about:
1. heart-rate accuracy
2. GPS accuracy
3. run, walk, cycle, and other comment workout accuracy & detailsJ
4. an expensive smart sports watch
And Amazfit Balance is still accurate for running, walking, cycling, and more, but not as accurate as the Pace 3.0 for only $230.00 USD.
Pace 3 should be an excellent story...
sounds good! Cant wait for the comparison! I can wait ... I think! lol so far i'm really liking the balance!@@PeterHerget
Here's my Reddit article about the COROS vs. Balance: www.reddit.com/r/amazfit/comments/18upe3g/amazfit_balance_or_coros_pace_3/
Do this support LTE
Sorry, but nope, there is not a LTE option at this time with any Amazfit smartwatch selling in the U.S.A. market that I know of.
Hey good day sir🎉 very very nice videos personalized interactive comfortable understanding to watch I like the conversation about the scenery then you go back to the watch then you go to the phone the Samsung phone and I have to say I learned a lot you could be a teacher because the other videos they're very fast if the information go over your head that's it I have to subscribe to your page my watch at this moment is the Hannah watch GT Pro but I am looking to upgrade I love big screen watches keep up the good work🎉😮😮😮😮
Thank you, Gary, and glad you clicked on buy... I often get complaints about my videos having too slow of a pace and happy to read you think I could be a teacher. Glad you subscribed and hope you enjoy your GP Pro watch, and yeah, Happy Holidays!
If only Amazfit would make it so the readiness score changes with naps and make it work like Garmin Body Battery.
Yes! That would be cool 😎 my ŌURA Ring gives me a better sleep 💤 score & readiness score after a good nap.
All the smart watches are built for dummies lol a stupid device that has to be charge daily, or even every few days and it's built to become obsolete... not smart at all.
I normally average about five to seven days of battery life with my Balance, and yes, I feel it is a smartwatch and should not be obsolete for another four years. Technology products in general are normally valid for two to four years; it all depends on the need of the human User...
