On my second week with an Amazfit Balance. I've owned a Pace from back in the day, so I was familiar with the Amazfit brand. In between the Pace and the Balance I had a Garmin Vivoactive 3 and an Apple Watch. The Balance's screen is gorgeous and the watch just looks better than my prior three watches. Whatever they did fixed the GPS and heartrate issues that plagued older Amazfit watches. No issues with notifications or anything. Battery life has been great so far. I love this freaking watch. Edited to add I'm using it with an iPhone
Hi clackerd, could you please tell me something about the readiness? Is it accurate? This is the second review I see with bad comments on the readiness but I would like to understand what happened after a while, after some firmware updates and if the readiness become more accurate as the watch "learn" our habits. Thank you
There's not a lot of reviews that show the accuracy of GPS or heart rate on this watch but your video convinced me to get it. Thanks for a well made video.
Have had the Amazfit Balance for a few weeks now. Can't believe how impressed I am by it. It has almost every fitness metric I would want plus it takes calls and can respond to texts via canned responses on Android. Just has a view deficiencies/issues. Off line voice will rarely work. All body fat composition attempts never will produce a measurement. Got it to work twice in about 100 attempts, and one of the measurements was way off. Only holds mp3s for off line music storage. Much prefer how Garmin interacts with Amazon Music or Spotify. Speaking of Garmin I was also trying the Venu 3. The Venu 3 is great. I like that you can respond to texts with the keyboard and potentially with Google Assistant, even though it wont work. The Balance can do pretty much everything else that the Venu3 does except the Balance also has Training Effect and Load. Really amazing and $220 cheper too!
Hello, I wanted to know how your body fat measurement was taken because that is the biggest reason I want this watch, which in my opinion surpasses the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro and because it is cheaper here in Brazil, they say it is necessary to do the measurement completely without clothes, chains or rings... with which device did you make the comparison?
@kamayrackin4458 both the Galaxy and the Amazfit Balance have the same method for measuring body fat. You put the tips of 2 fingers on the buttons. I had a lot of trouble getting the Galaxy to get reading as well. So, it could be me. I did discover moistening your finger tips helps. There should be no issue with keeping your clothes on or jewelry. Also, the Amazfit only takes the measure for your upper body, the Galaxy does your whole body. The Amazfit's battery life, fitness and workout tracking blows away the Galaxy. Galaxy, of course, has better smartwatch features.
Love the Balance... Biggest downside is the screen is prone to scratch way to easily... accidentally brushed my wrist up against the zipper of a jacket I was folding after washing it, and unfortunately the metal zipper left a really nasty scratch in the glass of the watch screen. 😢
I have been using the Amazfit GTS 3 for the past 3 years. To give you guys a little bit of context, I work and use it in a containership Engine Room, where if you ask me, is probably the most brutal working environment on earth. Sometimes -5 to +50 degrees celcius, exposure to acids, chemicals, dirty oils, seawater, high pressure fluids, steam etc. Now it has all kinds of scratches since everywhere is metal. Yet it still works! Yes battery life maybe less than original years ago, but basically for me, as long as it can survive the environment you’ll be using your smartwatch, its good enough. Amazfit watches delivers! No doubt.
Yep, I bought my Amazfit GTS3 more than two years ago, and it has withstood the abuse of my daily work as a field surveyor. It has a few scratches here and there, and battery life now lasts only 6-9 days compared to almost 2 weeks when it was new. I really wanted to buy a new Amazfit watch, but I have no reason to replace my current GTS3, as it still works fine!
I recently purchased a Garmin Instinct 2X because of your reviews, but this is impressive given its price. Although it would be a leap of faith! This now puts other brands on notice with some serious competition
This the watch I'm saving up for, how are you liking it ? I really like Garmins training readiness features and want to use it to track my running progress!
Well, I only got mine a week ago, but one of the reasons was Training Readiness. I also wanted a more rugged watch and wasn’t phased by a coloured screen, as I’d rather more functionality. Likewise the battery life is insanely good. I’m slowly getting used to sleeping with it as I had an Oura Ring that died! I wanted something that can do everything. I hope that helps!
@@lindenchee5691yes. I got the Instinct 2X. You can fully customize the running/training screens. Edit: I had the Fénix 7 Pro before and the Instinct 2X does almost everything that the Fénix does, except "nap mode" and no internal music storage. And no touch screen or color display but way higher contrast on the display which was my main reason to buy it as the low contrast of the Fénix was annoying but I also didn't want amoled as it uses so much power. So Instinct 2X is perfect - if you don't use the features all that much, you don't even need to charge it as it charges with the solar feature.
Bought the Amazfit Balance. Using it for the past 1 month. And as said in the video, the sensor results are almost same compared to Garmin and Apple. Worth every penny I would say.
I had two amazfit in the past. The bip was really good to me except the time it just lost a full day of walking and my 800+ day streak. Garmin has been very good to me and I'm over 900 days now. I also just like the badges, it's good for motivation. So as tempting as this is, I'll still probably upgrade to a 255 on black friday, hoping for $250ish
I'm on a first gen GTS and I'm only considering Balance because the battery needs charging a lot more frequently nowadays as it's on my hand for 4 years now. This video summarizes this watch very well and thanks a lot for that! Only thing I'd like to add that theoretically if you turn off everything and use it as a simple watch, it could go up to 50 days which is pretty impressive in my opinion.
Great review. I have the GTR4, ear buds and scale from Amazfit. My favorite part about Amazfit is the Personal Activity Intelligence (PAI). PAI is what keeps me active. The goal is to keep that number over 100. I am a mountain biker. It usually takes up to 15 minutes for the watch to read my heart rate accurately. The heart rate on the ear buds is much more accurate but doesn't affect the PAI score (Why the hell can't they get THIS working?). It's good to know that the Balance has a more accurate heart rate sensor, so it may be worth upgrading. The glass on my GTR 4 scratches very easily.
If the GTR4 has the ability to connect a device, buy yourself a Polar H9. In conjunction with my Cheetah, that's the best, most accurate way to measure heart rate, when I work out.
Thanks for information. My biggest complaint with Amazfit has been the HRM sensor, recently I bought Balance and been testing it for various days with Polar H10, I have to say I’m surprised with the metrics are almost always exact. I understand that they improved a lot with new HRM sensor.
@@ChaseTheSummitYou should test with gorilla hairy wrists and paint your skin darker to test for me😅 Seriously tho do you think a venue 3 would be good with my traits? Im a occasional runner 3-5 times a week
@@ChaseTheSummithi, i really need help, i really wanna know if i can connect my airpod pro 2 with this amazefit balance? And if it does, does it have any limitation? Problem listening the music from the watch? Any sudde pause? It would really help if u answer this. Thank you in advance🙏🏻
@ChaseTheSummit I have had the Amazfit Balance for a few weeks also, and it seems to be as accurate as my chest strap, when doing weights, boxing or running. The last Amazfit fit watch I had (T Rex Pro) I gave away due to unreliable heart rate tracking. The Amazfit Balance so far is so impressive, I haven't worn or thought about my Galaxy Watch 5 Pro lte since. 😅
Could you tell us on what kind of sport activities you tested the accuracy of the watch? I used to own the GTR3 Pro and the HRM sensor really sucked during cycling, which is considered to be a very challenging activity for smartwatches.
I just got a Coros Pace 3. Interesting to watch this and compare the features. I still think Coros battery life is next level and got me to switch from an apple watch.
@@Kiev-in-3-days Well the sales of the Apple Watch pretty much shows that people are okay with charging their watch every night. So if Coros could make it 4-5 days with OLED that would be a great option. They could just continue to sell the MIP version as well
I really enjoy your no-BS reviews and the fact that you tackle devices that some other bloggers won't. I have ordered one! I tried an Huawei GT4, which is a very pretty smartwatch, but the "Quantified Scientist"s assertion of great optical HR did not bear out with my usage, in fact, for me, the optical HR sucked (almost inevitable cadence lock after 20 minutes or so as it dialled down the LEDs to save power). I don't normally have issues with optical HR and I use HR a lot for training on longer runs so this was a deal-breaker. I also found the GPS/GNSS sketchy as it was overly smoothed and tracked through corners and buildings. I sent it back. Using it however got me used to having a large amoled display and smartwatch features and it felt really hard going back to my Coros. I can't justify the cost of a higher end Garmin device with amoled so I am going to give the Amazfit a try. Perhaps they have got this one nearly right this time.
Amazing how they fit so many features and such a great screen at this low pricepoint. And it has dual band gps and breadcrumb navigation? This is a winner for me.
@@Nicole-yn1wx That's too bad, thanks for mentioning it. I ordered the T-rex 2 yesterday as I like the design more compared to the newer Balance. They recently updated it to Zepp 2.0 so I hope it's a stable product. Bought it on Amazon, so easy to refund if anything is wrong with it. What watch are you using now?
@@huubdrums Bummer to hear that. I had a Bip and a Pace and I remember them updating the Pace firmware at least once or twice. They were both pretty good to me, however the GPS and heart rate in both were not so great
What about swimming. I'm sure this Smartwatch can handle indoor swimming but, does the heart rate sensor still work under water? And what about the drill log?
I’m looking to purchase a smart watch and I kind of convinced this will be the one or the first smart watch I will own. It looks kool and the features stand out. I like the modern sport look.
I always had issues with amazfit watches in the past, like gps accuracy, hr monitoring and the most important hardware flaws, such as turning off while running or training... aka amazfit pace1, amazfit gtr3. Thus I quited them and I am using the huawei gt runner as my second running watch. My primary is Coros apex. But after your review, this one looks very promising!

I like the price and features on the Amazfit range but when I downloaded the app I found it a bit underwhelming and unfortunately it doesn’t integrate with my Qardio device or MyFitnessPal which I’ve been using for months. So I’m probably gonna buy either a Garmin vivoactive 5 or a Garmin Venu 3.
I decided on a Coros Pace 2 because the price is really good right now. First time using a Coros so I'm looking forward to using one. I just realized the Zepp app does not track elevation which is really important for me when I cycle.
Pace 2 is a fantastic value watch & Evolab is in my opinion better than Garmin Connect for coherence & its planning capabilities (custom workouts, scheduling, routing). Shame they don't do a big amoled watch too.
I actually used the Bip and the Stratos a few years ago - my Bip died on me after about six months of use and they shipped me a Stratos as a replacement.. they’re surprisingly good fitness trackers, so I personally don’t have much negative to say about the devices themselves. The company itself is indirectly partnered with Xiaomi, which makes some interesting devices in their own right! I think I’m up to 10+ smartwatches and fitness trackers that I’ve tried, and have finally settled in with the Garmin Forerunner series
Their partnership with Xiaomi ended several years ago, they're now their own thing... Don't know if it was really a partnership, to be fair, more like Xiaomi bought from them and rebranded.
Not a real threat to Garmin but considering the design, the display, the smoothness of the UI the small bezels, features such as speaker and mic etc, Garmin should be ashamed that they still can't make all those happen even in their £600+ watches.
When they finally have a decent heartrate sensor, they should equip all models with it as quickly as possible, especially the premium models. I really like the watch except for the crown, which is somehow too big and bulky but that is of course a subjective impression. But I think Amazfit has taken a step forward with this watch. Hopefully it continues like this.
I had an amazfit gtr4 which died after 8 months of use. The crown is a bad design decision. If you walk with warm clothes on it constantly rotates, so if you are trying to record some walking activity, it will constantly cycle through the screens and cause vibration feedback. Which will probably also wear out its seals. It also tends to get caught on clothing. There's a reason why AW Ultra has protection around the crown.
Didn't have that option when I still had the gtr4. Only screen lock. And having a special option to disable the only physical control you can use to navigate data sounds strange. Looks like a quick software fix to a hardware problem.
I had BIP, T-Rex, T-Rex PRO and now I have Falcon. The POLAR H10+ chest strap ensures the accuracy of heart rate measurement when I go in for sports. The Zepp environment blows me away. I also have a Xiaomi personal analytical scale that I have paired in Zepp. I practically don't take the Falcons off my hands and sometimes I even take them to the mine, and even after 11 months they are still as good as new. There is not a single scratch to be seen anywhere, neither on the sapphire nor on the titanium, and those were a few times very dusty. Although the Falcon is no longer as cheap as, for example, the Balance, I prefer durability and water resistance (20atm), because I often get into environments where a plastic or aluminum watch might not be able to withstand it. On the other hand, if I look at Garmin, its only watch with a full titanium body and sapphire glass is the Marq 2, and it costs twice as much as, for example, the Garmin Epix 2 PRO, and has no extra features. So the Falcon price seems reasonable to me.
I have had this watch for a week and I am positively surprised by its quality and accuracy. I compared it with Fenix 7 and I don't know if it is the same or maybe a little better but one thing convinced me it is terribly light and in the gray version you have sapphire glass and you can maintain more privacy than in the Fenix I am very happy, I only miss navigation, I need it with my phone, but maybe that will change with updates
Sounds like Amazfit have upped their game, great review....nothing wrong at that price a decent dress watch that has hidden strengths, battery life and a decent GPS
Great review, I definitely learned a lot. I’m an iPhone user however I’m very much put of with the battery life even though the ultra 2 might be marginally better. So to potentially get up to 14 days of battery life is really impressive.
I'm currently using T Rex 2. I consider switching to Cheetah Pro, but I don't like really bezel color and nylon band. The Amazfit Balance looks pretty nice though.
I remember back in like 2009, I had a Samsung phone before they were Android based. It was dubbed the “iPhone killer”. I don’t remember what phone it was, but regardless, it did not kill the iPhone. So the video title made me chuckle.
Great review! I have the amazing gtr2 since 3 years and very happy of it, but I want to have NFC payments. And since I am happy of the brand and price segment, I will go for the balance. It's a natural upgrade for somebody having adopted amazfit
I’ve got the T-Rex 2. These watches are amazing. These destroy the Ultra for ruggedness and price. Thousands of community built watch faces. 7 day battery as well.
I was having an Amazfit for 15 months. It updated regularly for like 10 to 11 months after is was released. And then after nearly six months it got another upgrade which I still don't understand the scope of it since it messed up two of the good things hat the watch had and that was BT connectivity and screen responsiveness. It was completely useless after that.
@@menifo4334 It aligns with what other owners experience. A cycle until the next model launched. I hope the fix is coming. For now, I will stay away from Amazfit. Thanks for sharing your experience.
Thanks for pointing out the cons of the eco system. Not many reviews pointed that out. I just received mine yesterday overall works well, except not many apps for now. I’m using iPhone, so not feeling too smart about this watch, but more fitness watch
I had an amazfit Band 5 before and I have had Fitbit as well. Certainly there were some cheap seeming things about that watch and it was cheap in price too but for whatever reason I still keep using it. Not as accurate but it has better watch faces and was just comfortable. And I don't have to worry about breaking it it was cheap. So I think I would consider another Amazfit watch.
Love your videos, great information and content. This watch doesn't interest me but Amoled displays are awesome. I currently have the Garmin Epix2Pro and also a Coros Vertix 2 and for the first time in a long time I used the Coros and wow, I really missed the Amoled screen. I don't ever see myself owning or using a watch without a Amoled screen from here on out. The Epix2Pro has been great and battery lasts!
The Amoled screen for me is brighter and more vivid, just easier on the eyes. It's much nicer to look at overall. Now that I've been using the Garmin Epix2Pro now for over two months going back to the older Coros Vertix screen it just look dull.@@individuo7618
AMOLED has come a long way and now that we're getting watches with AMOLED + Long battery life I suspect it's only a matter of time before MIP displays start to fade out.
I was waiting for that watch and... bought Huawei Watch GT4. Before buying I compared GT4 to GTR4 Pro, which looks almost exactly the same like Balance and GT4 is waaaaay prettier.
Same like me . Waiting on this and venu 3 . I think ticwatch 5 pro is amazing with the double screen but if GPS battery life is like 15h+ than i will buy this one. Venu is good and let you see imagie but looks cheap, plastic so no above 350€. Just like said gt4 is damm pretty hot and u can wear IT casual or with suit. How long will battery last with GPS. Just like whole time hiking tracking?
I had the Amazfit Bip and currently using the GTR 2e. The reason I bought them are for the ultra long battery life. I hope Amazfit will make a fitness watch without the Dick Tracy functions.
Hi, thanks for the honest review. I'm curious how you rate the Amazfit Balance compared to the Amazfit T-Rex 3 you recently reviewed. Is the GPS similar? Is it just the look and battery, or are there some hidden game changer differences? Thanks for your work 💪🏼
Coros, Amazfit and even Huawei. All my smart home devices work with Alexa and this has an Alexa assistant. I am finding it really hard to justify the price of a Garmin Venu or Forerunner now.
I already order it. You have to make more time in video for notification and way to respond to notifications. I actually have been with Wear OS 2 years, but I don't want to charge every 2 days. And maybe this is the right choice. We'll see...
The problem with Amazfit is they do not spend time improving existing devices. Instead they just pop a new one and bury older models (like Cheetah, launched not so long ago).
Thanks for the review! There is not alot of reviews of this watch, atleast in english, pretty strange. I'm stoked now, but competition has arrived with the Xiaomi watch 2 pro (I know, more of a smart watch than a fitness watch with WearOS). However, the battery life on the Balance is appealing and I have been using an Amazfit GTS 2 and have their smart scale, so I'm already used to their eco system.
Now I'm using Amazfit GTR2. Reason for upgrade for me should be poor accuracy of my GPS. The slower you move, less accurete it is. For hiking I'm almost 20% longer distance than other gyus in group with Garmins. Also in narrow mountain walleys orbin the city, they strugling to catch GPS for minutes... So GPS improvement, SPO2max and recovery prediction is upgrades I'm looking for. Battery life, speaker, display sport tracked are OK even on my GTR2.
Great informative video like always 😊.I sold my series 9 with 2 days battery and bought this watch, its amazing I already have t rex2{ for work} and mi band 7(for alarm clock) but they are useless for workout but the balance is worth for buying Im using for walking and small runing and its very accurate and also show me burned calories all day on the watchface. I also can dowload new watchfaces not like the borring ones on apple watch. 😊
The Amazfit Balance shares many features with the "related" Xiaomi S2 Pro, smartwatch, which also makes sense as Xiaomi are shareholders of the Huami Corporation that is in charge of Zepp Health.
Great video, lots of information and pragmatic approach. I work as a landscaper and a huge amount of my steps come from walking behind a lawnmower….can you recommend a smart watch which will track my steps without my arms swinging? I use an Apple Watch at present which definitely doesn’t.
does it have accurate fitness data? running gps matters to me. also my garmin detects my workout during strength training also showing me if i trainee my back or arms etc.
Nice reviews m8. I would love 2 c u testing watches on open water 2.. Am stuck between balance/falcon or garmin 965.. I swim more and do watersports, i run less, whats your opinion .. thx
It's an amazing watch, but a good advice for people who want it, do yourself a favour and buy a cover/screen protector for the watch as the glass scratches extremely easily.
Thank you, thank you. I really like the design of Amazfit watches but their heart rate sensor it was very questionable. I also like the alternative of a round watch that really works with IOS ecosystem. I know that Apple will not make a round smartwatch ever😢 so this is really nice. Samsung used to give us this alternative until the Galaxy Watch 3. I am glad that Amazfit is growing in the right direction.
Hi Dave. Great review as always. Never had amazfit but I can surely recommend Huawei GT3 as a smart watch with oled screen but with great design. Huawei GT4 is now on sale and would be great to see it in your channel. Still nothing beats my Suunto 9 Baro titanium. It's a tank. An oldie one... Like me. Cheers from México.
Is it possible to start/stop the running activity or the stopwatch by the physical buttons, or you only can use the display? It is dealbreaker for me as a track runner.
The workout can be minimized by pressing the bottom button. It's the same story with the stopwatch. Press once and you cut off the circle. If you pinch it, you turn off the workout / stopwatch, and later you can return to it from the main screen. I have the button mode turned on, it is very convenient for sports. I've owned a watch for almost a week, you can ask questions. Sorry for the crooked translation, I'm writing from Russia. Upd: I'm not an athlete, but I try to use all the functions, so I can be useful. We also have a Russian-language forum on this watch, if you have an android, there are many custom free watch faces and applications. It's cool for those who understand this and can interact with it, but I have an iPhone, with which, by the way, the watch works great.
I own the gtr 4 , i mean the monitor if you are idle. For heart rate is quite accurate. Secondly , the sleep its awesome know when you sleep and than when get up. Overall i think its decent. As for fine details imo maybe its hit or miss. But its basic functions is there. Also the screen , built all solid . And it got speaker as well.
I undertand it is more oriented smartwatch than sportwatch. Then I will check Coros Pace 3 as you mentionned. If I'm still able to follow a gpx and pratice internal training it is enough.
Simply put if you're looking for a dedicated running or sport watch I think the Pace 3 has the upper hand. The Balance has more bells and whistles, smart features, and a more premium/modern look.
Great video. Question. How constant is the GPS distance? Does it always read the same distance on the same route? I find this to be really important. It a watch gives me different distances every time I run the same distance that is really annoying.
Great video....I am looking to buy my first smart watch and I need lifestyle watch and I was comparing amazfit Balance with huawei GT 4. Could you please help, which one is better and what would you have chosen? Thanks in advance
I had both. End up with balance. Gt4 is much better on construction but balance is more fun to use with the zepp flow and gpt 4o. Both are very good with heart rate and gps precision.
Thank you for this really useful review. I got tthis what as a gift I could choose for Christmas, because my old Vivoactive 3's battery is dead in 1-2 day's without GPS usage. The display is really impressive and the performance is awsome compared to the Vivoactive 3. It would be really nice, if a brand took the first step to produce a watch, which is repairable. I don't like to change the watch in 2 - 3 years, just because the battery is nearly dead.
Is this worth the price increase vs GTR 4? I’ve seen the GTR 4 on sale for as low as $150 while the balance is still full price at $230. Should I just stick with the GTR 4? Though I like the slightly bigger screen on the balance, not sure if it’s worth ~$80.
Is football and tennis app use GPS tracking? Other way i have to use it on running app . Did tennis app count backhand and forehand one of amazfit watches got it
Thanks for the review! Very through! I'm currently looking at Amazfit Balance and the Ticwatch Pro 5, wonder whih I should go for? I'm not a runner or anything like that, just do home/gym workout. Mainly looking for a decent smartwatch.
Hello, sorry for the English. Congratulations on the review. Making a comparison with the Cheetah Pro, especially GPS and heart rate, which one can have better accuracy?
I have used four models of Amazfit watches Bip, Pace, Stratos 2 and GTR2 mainly because of the good price. The problem with this company is inaccurate distance measurement when swimming in open water. I would really like it to be improved with dual GPS, but I'm very skeptical about that, so I'm seriously considering buying a Garmin or Suunto as an alternative. Does anyone have experience measuring a route in open water with any of the Amazfit models that have dual gps (Falcon, T-rex ultra, GTR 4)?
The GTR4 suffers from the extremely inaccurate HR sensors of old. This watch comes with the improved sensors, hence the change in the series name, instead of being labeled as GTR5.
No, not for me (I am a runner). It doesn't support interval training (in any meaningful way). No impending end of workout step tones, voice notifications or vibrations. A single vibration and brief step info which you are inevitably going to miss. No progress graphic if you also have a heart rate range. HR zones have to be based on a max of 220-age and can't be edited (mine is 36 too low!). No support for pace zones. AI plans to 10k only. The Huawei Watch GT4 is better for running and also has a track mode. Depends on what you want it for, but not a very good option for someone seriously trying to improve their running.

Likewise the battery life is insanely good. I’m slowly getting used to sleeping with it as I had an Oura Ring that died! I wanted something that can do everything. I hope that helps!
@@paulaitken8355 immensely! Thanks so much, picking this up on my birthday 🥳 cheers
Does the run mode allow you to select the data metrics you wanna see on your run?
In Europe the 255 can be found already for €220~€230 when it's on sale. It's bang for the buck if you don't want the oled.
@@vpnconsultIts crap. Buttons on the 255 are horrible.
Good to hear I’m not alone.
But should Coros do like Garmin and make a hybrid with AMOLED display (maybe with and without) so you could half the battery but get gorgeous display?
@@DeeKay1911But is it still worth it if you only get half the autonomy? Probably not for most people.
@@Kiev-in-3-days Well the sales of the Apple Watch pretty much shows that people are okay with charging their watch every night. So if Coros could make it 4-5 days with OLED that would be a great option. They could just continue to sell the MIP version as well
Coros Pace 3 vs Amazfit Balance, which to choose for hiking?
@@johnylake997 If you need a long battery life the choice is easy.

How are you liking it?
What's your experience with the Balance, if you've got it.
Amazing how they fit so many features and such a great screen at this low pricepoint. And it has dual band gps and breadcrumb navigation? This is a winner for me.
@@Nicole-yn1wxso true, same experience here 😢
@@Nicole-yn1wx That's too bad, thanks for mentioning it.
I'm amazed by the features of this item! It's incredible💜
Zepp pay is not available yet in North America... Great review! 😊
Zepp is china application. Im not surprised if it is ban in north america.
How was your experience with the GT Runner? I'm planning to buy one soon.

I have both the tic watch and this watch. The balance watch blows the 5 pro out of the water with Battery life.
Tenho um pace 2 também e está aprovado. Top
Totally agree. Scandalous they haven’t got those features even in the higher priced models.
Yep, Garmin is the master of customer rip off. I sold my Fenix 7 and instead go the HUAWEI GT4. Good bye Garmin😂
Really this goes up against watches at a three times the price with its features, pretty amazing. Not about to sell my 965 but I’m impressed!🎉
You can lock the activity of the crown.
Didn't have that option when I still had the gtr4. Only screen lock. And having a special option to disable the only physical control you can use to navigate data sounds strange. Looks like a quick software fix to a hardware problem.
Yeah. Amazfit should also try to have like big smaller sizes like garmin and coros
My GTR4 Pro died after 15 months of use. It actually begun deteriorating after the last software update it had. @@mediumcavetroll4650
Thumbnail, not the title! I still don't think this is killing anything but it's pretty neat for the price!
Thinking to buy coros pace 3.But this amazfit looks better😢.
Could this be a valid cheaper alternative to the Garmin Venu 3 which in my opinion is a bit over priced?
I believe so.
Hi, thanks for the review. Would you choose this Balance over the Ticwatch 5 pro? Thanks in advance!
Balance is much thinner and lighter
When I saw the name, I thought just another Amazon product and kept on scrolling. Glad you mentioned that it is not affiliated with Amazon.
Oh thank god!! I was waiting for your review!
Great review! I have the amazing gtr2 since 3 years and very happy of it, but I want to have NFC payments. And since I am happy of the brand and price segment, I will go for the balance. It's a natural upgrade for somebody having adopted amazfit
Thanks bro very detailed your explanation
I’ve got the T-Rex 2. These watches are amazing. These destroy the Ultra for ruggedness and price. Thousands of community built watch faces. 7 day battery as well.
Hi! Better Garmin Forerunner 955 or this amazfit Balance? Thx
I've heard Amazfit doesn't look after the software after the next iteration smartwatch is released.
They had a bad track record but it’s gotten much better with models like the TRex still getting firmware updates 3 years later.

What is the difference? I had watches with and without amoled screen. And i don't know why some people say that is a need for them.
It's much brighter and has a higher resolution. Some people value this.
The Amoled screen for me is brighter and more vivid, just easier on the eyes. It's much nicer to look at overall. Now that I've been using the Garmin Epix2Pro now for over two months going back to the older Coros Vertix screen it just look dull.@@individuo7618

GTR 4 Limited can charge wirelessly. It's another odd ball. Also thank you for the breakdown. I have about 4 Amzfit watches and they are solid.
Thanks for your work 💪🏼
Balance has a speaker. I think this is the most relevant difference on day to day use
Can you listen music in balance itself?@@jbkool
I actually have a Amazfit Bip U Pro, i plan to buy the Amazfit Balance. Thanks for the review.
Coros, Amazfit and even Huawei. All my smart home devices work with Alexa and this has an Alexa assistant. I am finding it really hard to justify the price of a Garmin Venu or Forerunner now.
Thank you for using centimeters
I already order it. You have to make more time in video for notification and way to respond to notifications. I actually have been with Wear OS 2 years, but I don't want to charge every 2 days. And maybe this is the right choice. We'll see...
The problem with Amazfit is they do not spend time improving existing devices. Instead they just pop a new one and bury older models (like Cheetah, launched not so long ago).
They've gotten alot better with that over the years with devices like the T-Rex and T-Rex 2 still receiving updates.
I really liked your detail review. I'm planning to buy one after watching your video. Tomorrow, inshAllah. Thanks for the good work.
Great informative video like always 😊.I sold my series 9 with 2 days battery and bought this watch, its amazing I already have t rex2{ for work} and mi band 7(for alarm clock) but they are useless for workout but the balance is worth for buying Im using for walking and small runing and its very accurate and also show me burned calories
all day on the watchface. I also can dowload new watchfaces not like the borring ones on apple watch. 😊
Hello. How about Huawei Watch GT4? Can you test it and tell us about it?
How do you get Alexa to work, it keeps asking for Amazon Alexa Authorization. Then the weeks spin and spin and NO THING 🤷 Thanks in advance...🙌🏾
The Amazfit Balance shares many features with the "related" Xiaomi S2 Pro, smartwatch, which also makes sense as Xiaomi are shareholders of the Huami Corporation that is in charge of Zepp Health.
I'm waiting for the amazfit active edge test. I'm very curious about the display. Will it be trans-reflective?
Great video, lots of information and pragmatic approach.
I work as a landscaper and a huge amount of my steps come from walking behind a lawnmower….can you recommend a smart watch which will track my steps without my arms swinging? I use an Apple Watch at present which definitely doesn’t.

Mmm what a decent competitor to 965 for fraction of price lol😊
Press and hold the button and will stop the activity
Is it worth buying in Oct 2024? Or should I go with Recently released t-rex 3?
Смотря для каких целей. Если тонкая кисть и не нежны карты встроенные, стоит брать баланс
Interesting. Amazfit keeps producing. I am enjoying the Cheetah Pro I bought on sale and this seems like it already approves on things.
Thanks for great review again!
How does it compare to Coros Pace 3? Which would you choose?

Hello, sorry for the English.
Congratulations on the review.
Making a comparison with the Cheetah Pro, especially GPS and heart rate, which one can have better accuracy?
In my experience the Balance performed better than the cheetah. That may just be my luck?
I have used four models of Amazfit watches Bip, Pace, Stratos 2 and GTR2 mainly because of the good price. The problem with this company is inaccurate distance measurement when swimming in open water. I would really like it to be improved with dual GPS, but I'm very skeptical about that, so I'm seriously considering buying a Garmin or Suunto as an alternative. Does anyone have experience measuring a route in open water with any of the Amazfit models that have dual gps (Falcon, T-rex ultra, GTR 4)?
The t-Rex 2 is only $169 and has dual band online test show it to be as accurate as Garmin and polar
So funny. Just got mine yesterday! Great job

Would you recommend this over the Amazfit GTR4? Will be changing over from Trex-Pro. Appreciate any recommendations. Great review.
The GTR4 suffers from the extremely inaccurate HR sensors of old. This watch comes with the improved sensors, hence the change in the series name, instead of being labeled as GTR5.
I have 4 amazfit watches....soon to be 5!!
