Just found this video and although it’s three years old, this man , in my humble opinion, has a fantastic voice. I’ve noticed that there’s a few critics, which there will always be, as the untalented have to get noticed somehow! I sincerely hope that he eventually becomes a superstar in the world of opera.
What a voice,what a discovery.Never heard of him before.Bravo Sergey Keep ut a great job.Spasibo
Futur grand.
Where has Sergey been, he is perfect for opera, he has a beautiful tenor tone and great delivery, presence on stage, and knows how to deliver and interpret the music with great impact on the audience.
Love Love Love Sergey's beautiful voice. Star-Tenor.
I’m so happy that I “discovered” this voice over 4 years ago and have enjoyed tracking his career ever since.
My FAVORITE Tenor in my favorite story telling opera. Glorious my friend, just Glorius❤
Wonderful! Such technique and skill - power and interpretation. I enjoyed it immensely. Thank you...
Magnifico ! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
hermosa voz de tenor lirico. y fisicamente bello.
Muito bom tenor. Voz clara , dicção perfeita. Agradável de se ouvir.
Zo mooi!❤
Estoy sin palabras...solo puedo decir fenomenal performance! 😯👏
Excellent Rodolfo 👍👍👍👑
hermoso y se escucha perfectamente la orquesta.
Que momento sublime!
Wow! he sounds so good and looks like a pop star!
voix sublime
He added so much to the song, even if the C5 is lacking strength like he was failing the execution. Anyway he can become a true legend in less than 5 years
Welch berührend wunderbarer Tenor in einer Ausnahmequalität !!!!
BRAVO 👏 👏 👏 SUPER GESUNGEN 🥰🙏...GEFÜHL...UND ALLES WAS EIN GUTER OPERN SÄNGER BRAUCHT...WUNDERBAR..VIEL ERFOLG WEITER UND AUF DIESE GESUNDE LINIE WEITER FOLGEN ...📈💯💖
Beautiful 💕
Wow, his voice is surprisingly good. I have never heard of him, but his singing surprised me. His acting does not seem as good as his singing, but whatever. People go to operas for the music rather than the acting. Bravo Sergey!
Excellent....
😊😊😊
Is that a microphone behind his right ear?
Yes! This performance was recorded, so they had to get the sound somewhere :D
Nothing compares to the rendition of this great aria by the late Soviet Azerbaijani 'tenor", Rashid Behbudov. The extraordinary thing about this singer is that he was not an opera singer. He was known as a hugely famous and respected singer of folk songs in his native Azerbaijan and in Soviet states beyond. I came across two different takes on UA-cam of Behbudov singing this aria, probably recorded in the late 1950s or sixties. They were outtakes from some kind of B&W movie. These UA-cam pieces have now been removed for copyright reasons. I have yet to come across a greater rendition of Che Gelida Manina by any of the 20th century greats, Bjorling, Gigli, Pavarotti et al.
why wasn't he looking into her eyes? he has a great voice!!
Because he has to look at the maestro ;) the mistery of opera given away
excellent audio
He can sing to me anytime!!!
👍🍀👏
pop-opera
Beautiful singing without an ounce of passion. Hopefully he will learn...
You'll live....
This tenor sing on his own, doesn't follow music. He looks like a robot.
What is the ear piece above his right ear?
I wouldn't want to meet this Rodolpho in a dark alley.
Very good singing. The high c is a little bit forced...
Very pinched...his B natural sounded sublime...and his voice rings wonderfully!
Beautiful sound and unforced till then. I wish he was more emotionally connected as well.
Because he sings in headvoice sounds like bee gees
If you want to listen to his high Cs, you may want to check out this one:

and this, where he ranges from high to low and back with surprising agility.

The singing is beautiful, but scenes and costumes... It's supposed to be winter, without proper heating (we learned that from the previous scene, where they were so cold that they thought of burning a chair, Marcello's painting and ended up burning Rodolfo's new dramatic work), her hands are cold, etc. but the production chose to put her in a short-sleeved cotton garment? At least he has a jacket on, and yet he was at home. Moreover, it's at least afternoon, if not evening, because after that they go for dinner outside. She comes with a candle which the draft extinguishes, and she comes to him for light but his own gets extinguished as well. They stumble in the dark to find her fallen key under the table. And yet the scenery is bright as a Greek summer day. Classic example of people who don't bother to even read the text and context.
It's a reinterpretation. A choice of the director to not go by the text, but rather subtext and indirect representation. This is an exciting thing about opera.
Prachtige stem, onzekere acteur.
his not completed high c
A good Voice, but he has a small Tremolo and the high Note is strange
My lord that woman is beautiful.
My lord, you are quite mistaken....
@@ilecier wait, so you have some sort of authority to determine what kind of women I find beautiful?
@@downfromkentuckeh Certainly not. Expressed my opinion just as you did. In general I believe that the word beautiful should not be used inflationary as it is the top of a list of words describing someone's appearance. A little more nuanced stance would definitely help to get closer to the truth.
She's damn fine!
Mah...
Ypu can listen to the music without watching the video and you will not miss a thing. That's how negligeble the acting is.
That's true.
Voce ingolata and tensions all over the place. His voice won't last long...
Totalmente d'accordo. Proprio scarso, quasi fastidioso.
Not a full chested high C. He squeezed and pinched the note, otherwise a nice performance.
It further diminished a good but not great performance of this aria.
Listen to him here, singing Rossini. ua-cam.com/video/ycrs9ZgePXc/v-deo.html
Esecuzione fredda sterile,il timbro è interessante peccato falsato dall' amplificazione esagerata .
Puccini senza portamenti non si canta .
fraseggio lontano , ma molto lontano dello stile pucciniano .
canto ''moderno'' privo di bellezza artistica e poesia .
registro acuto poco convincente .
non mi piace .
strident higher range here and in another aria, lacks musicality too.
looks like a modern building. With insulation. And neighbors who have heating. Bit whimpy of these young people to complain of the cold. Immediately the opera becomes stupid, the characters unbelievable. You lose sympathy and you lose interest. And in stead of becoming more modern and interesting, the artificiality of opera hits you in the face. Just let the art form die already. Either that, or treat it with respect
I full-heartedly agree, I actually wrote the same thing a little while ago, before reading yours. What's with the short-sleeved dress, the ample light? It's supposed to be not only cold but also dark.
this tenor also likes women? LOL
It's a performance. Why are we talking of artists' private lives here?
